The interior is cute and there are several games you can play while waiting. I played PAC-MAN and tic-tac-toe. There's plenty of seating inside and outside! I unfortunately did not try their bagels, but hopefully next time I can. As for the drinks, I personally felt that my matcha was too milky for my liking, but others could feel differently. I look forward to trying new items! Great service!

Glad I made a pit stop over here during my stay in Julian. Exactly what I needed for my morning coffee. I came on Valentine's Day so they were pretty backed up. This place is decked out with Hot Wheels over their walls and had an auto theme to the cafe. Connected to their right of the cafe was a tiny boutique and an outdoor patio to the left side. I ordered their Dark Chocolate Strawberry Latte with cold foam on top. The drink was so pretty and right on theme with the holiday. The taste of the Mocha was tasty too, a bit sweeter than a dark chocolate though, but for the size, and no additional cost for the cold foam, I thought it was well worth ordering. They offer some breakfast classics like bagels and breakfast burritos, which I did not want at the time, but if you were looking for a quick bite rather than a sit-down restaurant this is your spot!

WOW! Such a hidden gem. We stopped in and I tried the banana bread matcha, and it was absolutely delicious. The whole ambiance of the shop was so cute and quaint. Such a cute spot for families and wonderful service. Highly recommend checking them out!

What a great family owner coffee shop such a beautiful location and the decor is on of a kind with all the antique cars and interior decor . Ordered the cherry vanilla foam coffee and it was so good not too sweet. Don't hesitate to come her I've passed it so many times going into Julian . This will be a must stop every time for me

Spotted this place on the way into town and actually thought it might be shops, I was half right! Was not expecting a full-blown menu, I was in need of some coffee, they also had breakfast. There was seating inside, a play area for young ones, also a game board (checkers if I recall) that was being put to good use. Staff here was friendly and service was quick. We wanted to check this place out and grab another coffee on the way back to campsite, but they do close early, so keep that in mind. Will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Julian Pit Stop saved our stomachs after driving 13 hours through the night! Best bagel i've had in a while and my friend had an amazing breakfast burrito. The fam behind the counter was adorable and friendly which made us feel welcome immediately. The place inside was so cute and quirky! antique hot wheel aesthetic definitely serves the pit stop vibe well. Our salted maple lattes were the icing on the cake. 10/10 thanks yall!!

We ended up going during a really busy day. The outside is awesome as they have Tow Mater and a car that looks like the one from Jurassic Park. Apparently they are building a big shed/barn that will house many more cars/attractions. We ordered two coffees and they were really busy but that was to be expected, it was the day after Thanksgiving. We ended up waiting around 25 minutes for our Coffee, and when I got mine I got a cold one instead of a hot one. The staff were super kind and fixed the mistake.

A little stop just outside of the main street in town. There are some restaurants and shops to buy assorted items. 1 of the stores has a lot of musical instruments, guitars, etc. Fun collection of movie car memorabilia, see my photos for what I am talking about. Movies like National Lampoon's vacation, cars, jurassic park.

Exceptionally nice service. Food was delicious. I will definitely be back. Unlike Main Street in Julian there is ample parking here and it's just a few minutes down the 79 from Main Street. Prices are also better than Main St. restaurants. The ambiance was laid-back and casual, but charming with a record player playing Sinatra when I went in. Your kids will enjoy looking at all the decor and free Pacman! I will definitely be back.

Made a stop on our way to camp and it was wonderful. The staff were so warm and attentive despite being so busy. We had the Reuben sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. We will absolutely stop by every time we are in town. The store is so cute with all the vintage signs and games.

    The best bagel I had.

Food and service was so good. Girls taking the orders where very nice, and place was so cute .

10/10 worth the drive from San Diego. The lady was so nice.

Was worth the drive from San Diego, only place that seemed good in Julian and when I walked inside the lady was very nice and very helpful and she made our coffees really delicious, the outside area is very lovely.

Also got one of their specialties, the chicken pot pie. Tasty and satisfying. Finally the apple burger which was good, but the blue cheese overpowered the apples so I cant thoroughly comment on its synergy. We ended it with an apple boysenberry pie with ice cream, which rounded the meal perfectly. Overall, I can confidently say that we will be back to explore the rest of the menu and left with our tummies satisfied to engorgement. A worthy visit if you're feeling a call for the sweet sliced desserts they are known for. That said, I do want to clarify that, from what I observed, we were not the last table to be seated. I understand it was a busy Fourth of July, and I know everyone can make mistakes. My disappointment wasn't because of the wait alone--it was because my order was incorrect multiple times, and I was eventually asked again what I had ordered even though it was just biscuits and gravy. By the time my food finally arrived, the experience had already been affected. I don't expect perfection, especially on a busy holiday. I simply shared my honest experience and hope it helps improve service for future guests. -------------------- We ordered our food and my friend received her meal, but my order of biscuits and gravy didn't come out correctly. The server acknowledged the mistake, saying it was her fault and that she would get it fixed right away. Unfortunately, the wrong order was brought out, and the staff had to come back and ask what I had originally ordered. It was a simple order--just biscuits and gravy--so it was frustrating that it was difficult to get right. When the correct food finally arrived, the experience had already been delayed and a bit discouraging. At that point, I was honestly just over it, especially when I was asked if I wanted a box, as if we were finished. Overall, the food was fine once it arrived, but the service experience that day was disorganized and left a negative impression.

I couldn't stop just standing there sipping my hot cider while waiting for our to go items to be prepared. We got two apple cider donuts, one cinnamon sugar and one chocolate dipped. Long ago, I tried these tiny heart shaped pie crust cookies covered in cinnamon and sugar - Apple Memories! These are crisp tiny bites of love that you want to take home every single time! There are actually two buildings. One where you can grab a bite to eat, the other has all the merchandise, and both have whole frozen pies to grab to go! The building where you can dine has a small inside dining area, it can get cozy in there, but on a chilly day, that is exactly what you want! Just outside there is plenty of room outdoors to enjoy the scenery. In the merchandise building I couldn't help myself... we took home a whole gallon of apple cider, and also bought a jar of Cinnamon Apple Honey Spread and a jar of Apple butter... absolute yum! The sandwiches were also very good, though the Ruben could have used a tad more sauerkraut to balance the flavors. The fries on their own are double fried or battered (or something along those lines) and have an incredible crunchy texture! We came on what I would consider a moderately busy day for Julian, I've seen Miner's Diner packed to the brim before. Our server, Kaylin or Kaitlin (I'm sorry about the spelling!) was amazing. It defies logic that other sit-down places will meticulously prepare quality, fresh food, then slap frozen Ore-Idas down on the plate. Farmhouse 78 does not do that. Fresh cut potatoes fried in beef tallow. Doesn't get any better than that. I'd add a sixth star just for the fries if I could. I plowed through them before I even touched the sandwich.

I even brought friends who had never been here before, thinking it could become one of our regular stops when we're out hitting the trails. Instead, it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth... and not just from the food. Waitress: Where do I even start. She claimed she was hard of hearing--but her attitude spoke loud and clear. Tossing menus on the table, aggressively slamming salsa down, and getting snarky over being off because our party count was off by one person. Seriously? It took two seconds to adjust the table, but apparently that was just too much. Yes, she technically did her job... but with such a cold, unwelcoming, and rigid attitude that it made the whole experience uncomfortable. What really stood out? We were there first and ready to order, yet she chose to take care of every smaller table that came in after us. No communication, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. Just ignored. Basic courtesy clearly isn't part of the service here. And trust me--I used to be a waitress. I handled large parties all the time and actually communicated with my tables. It's not that hard. Honestly, if gratuity hadn't already been forced onto the bill, she would've gotten $0. The only pleasant person we encountered was the busser--quick, friendly, and actually seemed like he wanted to be there. Maybe swap their roles, because he outperformed her by a mile. Food: Let's talk about the food... if that's what we're calling it. Everything came out cold. Not "warm-ish," not "could be hotter"... just straight up cold. It felt like our plates were sitting under a heat lamp for way too long before making it to the table. One "white" friend asked to have her meal fixed--fine, no problem. But when another "Hispanic" friend asked the same thing? Suddenly there was attitude, menu slamming, and mumbling under her breath. So... what exactly was the difference? Why the inconsistency and hostility? If the kitchen is that backed up, maybe management should step in and help instead of letting food die in the window. Just a thought. Final Thoughts: This place had potential... but that waitress single-handedly ruined it. We'll be taking our group (and our money) elsewhere--Dudley's Bakery is looking like a much better option moving forward. I usually bring large groups out here, so this isn't a small loss. Unfortunately, if this is the level of service they're okay with, this place isn't going to improve anytime soon. At this point, it's less "Farmhouse charm" and more "junky barn energy."
