I wasn't going to leave a bad review for what happened, but I ended up having to have the work redone at a different place a couple months later, and I still feel negative about what happened and how I was treated. I'd used Juke Auto before at the old location, and never had a problem. I did notice the change of culture with the new location, but hoped the service would be the same. I was totally wrong... I called them up the week before Christmas to schedule getting an oil seal in my engine fixed. I knew it was the holiday season, but thought I could schedule something since I worked 70 hour weeks and using rideshare was expensive. I was told to come in for an inspection and quote, so I did. Was told that my 2002 Mitsubishi would take three days to finish. I was upselled and agreed to the charges since I knew that the car had sat for a while and needed work. The total was 2700.00. Job paid well, so it wasn't an issue. When originally discussing the repairs, I was told to come in and that the holiday season wouldn't effect the repair, so I dropped it off. More than three days passed, and I never received a call or email. Then it was Christmas through New Years. I received sporadic feedback, and was told they had issues sourcing parts. I was originally told that the parts were easy to get and not an issue. After a week of paying for rideshare I told them that I had to have my vehicle fixed and I was told I could borrow one of their vehicles. More days passed without a word. I called them up and found out that the work still wasn't done almost two weeks after I dropped it off. This caused a cascade of issues such as my apartment complex not telling me that they had registered my Mitsubishi with the local towing company. So, I parked as I normally did and got the Juke loaner towed. It cost me 380.00 to get it back from the yard. After waiting three weeks, and hearing a ton of excuses, I was finally told that my vehicle was ready. I picked it up, and immediately noticed that it didn't sound "right". I was told by the mechanic who did the work that it really was fine and I shouldn't have any issues. I drove it home, then to work the next day. In all, about 50 minutes of driving and the vehicle kept running worse. By the time I arrived at work it would barely run and the engine seemed to be losing compression. I called the shop and brought it back in where I was initially denied over the phone for getting a loaner from them, but one was ready for me when I arrived. The SUV would barely run by the time I pulled into the Juke parking lot. Three days later, I was called and told that it was ready. I went in and picked it up. I wanted to know what had gone wrong, and it was explained that the mechanic that normally did this kind of work was out of town for Christmas vacation, and his intern had performed the work. The work was shoddy because the seal had been installed wrong. I looked at the engine as it ran, it sounded normal, and I drove it home. When I arrived home I looked at the engine again, and could see that the top seal on the radiator was blown and it was leaking water. When I called Juke the next day, I was told that the mechanic "had seen a little water" on the top of the radiator. But, this wasn't a little bit. The top was completely blown and I had to put water in it to keep the engine running. I took it back to Juke where I was told that I'd have to pay 700.00 for a new radiator and the labor to replace it. I pointed out that on the initial inspection for the repairs that the radiator was in perfect shape. It was the wrongly installed oil seal that almost blew the engine causing the radiator to take too much pressure and blowing out the top seal. After some email wrangling it was agreed that Juke would replace radiator at no cost. The engine sounded a little rough when I got it back, but it got me to and from work for the next month. I then moved 400 miles away. Towed the vehicle that distance. Two weeks after my arrival in a rural area of Texas, that replaced oil seal blew and I had a mechanic look at it. I found a great shade tree mechanic who showed me the blown seal. He also pointed out that the air filtration system hadn't been reassembled correctly, along with other issues that caused my air conditioner to stop working. Even the replacement electrical system that Juke installed wasn't done correctly. This cost me another 650.00 for items that I had already had repaired by Juke Auto less than two months earlier. I still drive the 2002 Mitsubishi, and haven't had a single problem with it since my local mechanic worked on it, and it now runs great. It's a travesty that I had to pay again for work that Juke Auto couldn't get done in several tries. At the very least, I feel like they owe me for the second set of repairs that I had to do because of their mechanic's incompetence. Took my 2005 Prius into Juke for an oil change and a maintenance check prior to a road trip. Every where else (Dave's Ultimate Auto, Gene Johnson, etc) I have brought my car in for a maintenance check calls me during the day to let me know if there is anything they want me to repair. This was the first time I have been to Juke and figured based on the reviews they were as professional as some of these other mechanics I have been to in the past. The reason I went to Juke was because they were the closest mechanic to my new house. Juke texted me 30 minutes before closing, I had brought my car in at 8:30, just after they opened at 8. I asked why they did not contact me earlier and they informed my that they are not a "lube shop" and that any maintenance would have to be done another day because they "don't have time for it". Why did I bring my car in at 8:30 AM to be done in half an hour and texted about at 5 PM? This "maintenance check" was $133. The oil change was almost $90. Take your business elsewhere. Update 5/24/24: I received a satisfaction survey via text this morning from Juke Auto to submit this original review to Google reviews. After submitting the review a manager reached out to me to apologize for the service I received yesterday, that staff involved would be coached and that I would be receiving a full refund. I've updated the star from 1 to 3 as Juke Auto seems to have been trying to make things right. read more

Tl;dr: not nearly as good or well priced as Atypical mechanic. I'll start off by saying that they are a very courteous group of people and have decent systems here so they get two stars for that. Unfortunately in practice they are really over priced and on 3 separate occasions have made significant oversights or mistakes. First time 4 years ago before a cross country road trip we had our oil changed by Juke. They changed the oil and then about 500 miles into our road trip we realize they did not put the oil cap on and had an engine splattered with oil. They offered a free oil change when we got back in town. Second time we had some service work done to the tune of 2.3k. They changed our oil and didn't reset the oil light after. No biggie even though it was a hour inconvenience to drive the car back to have them do so. Third time after some service work was done we began to hear a noise in our car. We took it back to them to see if it had to do with another mistake they made and look into it. They tell us it's the AC compressor, but our AC is working perfectly fine. But they want another 2k for after market install of new air compressor. We finally learned our lesson so we decide to call the Atypical Mechanic who is awesome. Scheduling system is amazing and comes out to you. He tells us nothing is wrong with the AC in his diagnostic and let's us know it was the belt tensioner. Might or might not have been damaged by Juke in their process of removing it when they fixed our timing belt. Anyways after all is said and done the Atypical mechanic correctly diagnoses it as a damaged tensioner belt and makes the replacement with new part for $270. Please don't waste your money with Juke in incorrectly diagnosed auto issues. Have a better process with someone else. read more

I drive a 2003 Honda element with 165,000 miles on it. I keep saying I'm going to replace this car, but I keep not doing it. Juke has helped keep me on the road when there have been tricky problems, they are budget conscious, and always let me know my options. It's important to communicate well with them, and let them know what your goal is- are you just trying to limp along with a quick fix, are you trying to get the car back to almost new operation, it really helps to let them know, they will listen and quote you appropriately. One thing to note, they absolutely are going to tell you about other problems. They're not trying to run up the bill - they're just informing you of every little thing. read more

I'm perplexed by what I just experienced. First, I must say this is exactly what I get for cheating on my mechanic!! I received a customer special ad for this business in the mail (see photo); that's how I knew this place existed. The line that said "basic bulb replacement" caught my eye because my car needed a bulb replaced and an oil change. This is why I decided to stop in. Customer service seemed decent. I accepted the suggested full synthetic oil change and made the gentleman aware of my need to have a brake light bulb repaired. I got a hesitant "hmmm, I will see if we can replace the bulb." I told him of the add I received and he said okay. Did I mention that I stopped at Autozone and purchased the exact bulb needed myself?! Anywho, the shop was clean and seemed well organized. The waiting area, aside from freezing, was very nice. The bathroom was immaculate, especially for an automobile repair shop. Note, I did not have an appointment. I also said that this was my first visit when I checked in. I found it disappointing that it took almost 2 hours for a synthetic oil change!! Would have been nice of them to warn me of the wait time, I could have walked across the street to eat. Being that they took me without an appointment, I waited over an hour and a half before I physically got up to look for my car. I saw it parked in the back. I then went inside to ask if it was ready. The gentleman (for customer service sake was very pleasant) said they just finished up. This is very important . . . He explained to me that he tried the bulb I purchased and it didn't work. Next, he said he tried one of their bulbs and it didn't work either. It was suggested that it could be in the wiring or computer related. As he "finished up" I called the my dealership to make an appointment to get the light fixed. I was puzzled and stunned to realize the bulbs I purchased was still in the packaging UNOPENED. With this revelation, I took the car to my usual mechanic. I didn't say a word about my previous experience. I handed him the UNOPENED package and asked if he could fix my bulb. Well osh kosh begosh!!!! It was fixed in 5 minutes. I said all that to say, I think the whole "honest repair shop you can trust" is in the eye of the customer. I believe I will stick with my old mechanic. Those words ring true for him. From looking at the reviews, Juke Auto obviously makes a lot of customers happy. I am not impressed and most likely will not return. It seems like a good enough establishment and I wish them well, but my experience was disappointing. read more

SHADY AS HELL!!! I brought in my vehicle because of a squeaking sound and got drafted up an almost 6000 bill of "necessary preventative repairs" including but not limited to replacing the brake pads at 25% and replacing entire parts (power steering hoses) when replacing the bushings on said part would fix the problem at a fraction of the cost. Juke really feels like I'm taking my car to my best friend's dad's garage to fix. They treat you like they care. For me, it's taken a while to find my go-to staples in Austin (ex. Eye Capitol, Alamo Drafthouse, etc.), but with Juke i knew it the first time. I feel like it's what millennial startups are trying to succeed at culture and care wise, just many fall short in execution. Staff are all friendly, honest, do a great job. Facilities are neat, clean, and designed with contemporary charm with a nod to the auto nostalgia from the 50's. They even have shuttle service (I've never used it, but cool to know it's available!) and waiting room with WIFI (AMAZING), coffee, kids toys, and restroom with changing table, baby products, AND feminine products. One star because i have to! I called to get a quote on some work that needed to be done to my vehicle asap, engine oil leak, and was told it may take days before I can get a quote! It has been 24 hours and still no quote. I cannot believe it takes them days to get to a quote, how long would it take if I chose them to get the work done. Which I never will! I called three other places and received quites the same day. I have an appointment to get the work done at a place today. Took my car in for an oil change and to have a look over since I was nearing 90k miles. Got a report that it needed 4k in repairs for various things. I've gone to Juke for years with amazing service but I'm sad to say something has changed. I let them do the work and what a mistake that was. Once I got the call my car was ready it felt off when I pulled out of the parking lot and by the time I got home it was smoking! They got a flatbed truck to tow it back to them and gave me some lame excuse that the mechanic spilled some fluid and that's what the smell is, although they couldn't smell it. Small Town Service at a Great Price!! I had my truck serviced during Covid-19 and am high risk, so it meant a lot that everyone at Juke was wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and had sanitizer everywhere. I was warmly greeted, had a complimentary ride back to my home with a very friendly driver, and my truck serviced at a very reasonable cost. Ken handled my service and could not of been more helpful and professional. Folks, Ken, even offered to take my truck around the corner to Marios for an inspection to save me the time and exposure!!!! Who does that? Literally the best service I have ever received. The place is clean and inviting, easy booking for services online, and good Covid precautions in place. I have to shout out Miguel, my service advisor. I went in for a routine oil change and he noticed that my car had some serious problems that had been going on for quite awhile, and this was not long after I had had it serviced by another mechanic who apparently didn't notice any of this! He sent me pictures of all of the problems with my car and walked me through each piece in detail. As someone who doesn't know a lot about cars it's hard when a mechanic tells you that something is seriously wrong, and it's easy to be skeptical, but he really gained my trust when he took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy for a non-mechanic to understand. He spent a good part of two days speaking to me, as well as my step-dad who lives out of state, about what was wrong with my car, explaining everything in detail, and trying to track down a parts I needed. He was so communicative and transparent about the process and my options I have never felt more trusting of a mechanics opinion, especially since some people out there may have done the routine maintenance I asked for on my car just to make money from the services and then let me leave and continue driving an unsafe vehicle. In the end I'm still in the process of figuring out what to do with this car, regardless, Juke will be the only auto repair shop I will be going to as long as I'm in Austin! read more

I've taken my car to Juke Auto for the past 5 years and have had a couple thousand dollars of repairs and maintenance done there, but on the past few visits service is on the decline while prices are rising rapidly. If you do take your car here, be aware that in my experience they've been at least 1.5x more expensive than other reputable shops in town. Here's what bothered me about my latest and last experience there: I had a coolant leak and a check engine light and only had one day off from work for the foreseeable future, during which I could deal with it. I made an appointment in advance and brought my truck in first thing. I told the service advisor exactly where I had seen the leak coming from, left them the keys and went home. An hour later, I got a call from the service advisor saying that they wouldn't do anything unless I authorized $136 for an hour of diagnostics to check the radiator and another $136 to diagnose the check engine light. The advisor also said that it may take longer and there was no way of knowing how much the diagnosis would cost. I asked if they could call me if diagnosis exceeded one hour and was told no. I'm now looking at a charge of anywhere from $272 to infinity, not including the cost of whatever repairs are required. If they had told me this while I was at the shop I would not have left the car with them, but at this point it was too late in the day to pick it up and get it done elsewhere, so I agreed. I was further upset when I asked about the problem code for the check engine light and was told that it hadn't been scanned yet. Checking the code is a 2 minute operation and any auto parts store will do it for free. Many codes will tell you exactly which part to replace, or even that the gas cap is simply loose. The fact they're asking for $136/hr before they check if the problem is as simple as a loose gas cap tells me that their priority is racking up bills rather than providing good service. The coolant leak was found and the broken hose replaced, albeit at an astronomical cost of $600, which brings up a few other issues. At every shop I've gone to in the past, the diagnostic fee is credited towards the cost of the repair and is only charged if you opt not to have the issue fixed. That is not the case here. You should expect to be charged at least $136 before any repairs for anything you need done. I was told the leak was obvious when they pressurized the radiator. The broken hose was readily visible at the top of the engine compartment and in the same area I'd told them I saw the leak, so it didn't require much detective work. Trying to figure out why replacing a hose would cost $600, and thinking it was likely more complicated than it sounds, I did some research. It turns out it's not at all more complicated than it sounds. Three screws, two hose clamps and 15-20 minutes and the job is done. I checked the pricing on the replacement hose at a local parts distributor and found that Juke Auto markup on the replacement hose part was 150%. The $45 part was billed at $115 To be clear, I'm fully aware of overhead, parts markups & mechanic book rates and am not expecting a bargain when I take my car to a shop - but 150% markups are in no way reasonable. I called Dave's Ultimate Automotive, the other shop in town I've gone to and got a quote of $360 for the same pressure test and repair. That's 40% less than I was charged at Juke. In the past, I've gotten quotes from both shops and Dave's has consistently been at least 25% cheaper. On one estimate for replacing spark plugs, Juke was charging 1.5x as much as Dave's for the same brand plugs. The check engine light was also not resolved, so I'm still unable to pass inspection & renew my registration until I have an opportunity to bring the truck elsewhere. Two weeks have passed and my irritation over the experience has eased, but I still wanted to write this review. For many people who rely on their car for work, finding time to leave it with a mechanic is difficult. There's not much in the way of price transparency among shops, and once you've dropped your car off they're in a position to take advantage. If reasonable repair costs are a priority for you, you'd be better off taking your car elsewhere. read more

This is from over a year ago but my friend just had a bad experience with them too so thought it was time to share. First off, these guys charge a HEFTY diagnostic fee. I came in with my own diagnosis from an AAA mechanic who didn't have the equipment to replace my corroded battery cable (it would start/run for a bit then wouldn't, aka unreliable) They wouldn't go with my diagnosis and insisted on doing it themselves (including hefty fee) -- well turned out they thought it was a totally different issue with my alternator, i insisted to try my original issue, replacing the corroded battery cable. they insisted it was the alternator so i went with it bc they're the experts. they ordered a new one for me and installed (1 week in the shop) just for the alternator not to be the problem at all I insisted again it was my original issue. They continued with more diagnostics to come up with another issue that I don't even remember and again, it wasnt that (3 more days). Third time around, oh it's actually corroded battery terminals that are the issue (so close). They replaced them (another 2-3 days). They gave it back to me and said we were good to go so i thought okay great-- I asked if the battery cable was replaced and it wasn't but my car was running and i really needed it back so I went with it. WELL, that didn't last long as my car wouldn't start leaving work 2 days later -- i had to get a tow from AAA. after i told them i was towing it to them to actually fix the original problem, that's when they offered a tow . i finally threw a fit and asked them to just replace the battery cable and looky there, it's been running ever since. Not to mention the older guy i worked with (maybe tommy or bobby? can't remember) was a total ass and talked to me like an idiot the whole time. thankfully my fit got the GM's attention and he took off some charges but I still walked away paying more than I should've, especially for my car being out for 2+ weeks. The cherry on top is i'm a blonde young adult female who they should've listened to the first/second/third around and simply didn't. Choose your battles, this is not one I would ever recommend. In March of 2023, I bought a car from an online retailer that, unbeknownst to me at the time, has a reputation for selling cars without thorough inspections and when problems are found, the service company delays their response until the 7-day window for coverage is closed. The best advice I received was to get the car inspected with a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection or Buyer's Inspection) as soon as possible after taking delivery of the car. As businesses are still reopening and the public is catching up on auto repairs (and everything else as COVID restrictions are easing), the waitlist can easily be several months for some services. Even for an PPI auto inspection, I was expecting a several week wait for an appointment. On top of all that, my personal mechanic retired, so I was really at a disadvantage. I was referred to Juke's by a trusted colleague and not only was I able to get an appointment on the books within a week, specifically one hour after the date and time I took delivery on my new (used) car, I was also greeted with kindness, professionalism, honesty, and understanding. They checked EVERYTHING and honestly, could have taken advantage of the situation to make up things that were wrong to make a ton of quick money. The only thing they came back with was what I had already figured out, which was that it needed an all-wheel alignment. I have an digital itemized report with photos of everything they checked and am confident that all is well with my new (used) car! To add icing on the proverbial cake, there is a local hamburger shop across the street, a quiet waiting area (without a TV yelling at me!), fantastic coffee, and a very accommodating and engaged staff. Juke's waiting room wall is filled with framed accolades and I can tell you that they are considered "Best in Austin" for a reason. We only waited a few hours and they were able to do the alignment the same day. They also referred me to a local shop down the street to get the State Inspection done (yes, the online retailer even screwed that up, recording an incorrect odometer reading). Juke's has earned another customer for life. I could not be more pleased. The piece de resistance? The owner emailed me the next day to thank me for my business. The staff is over the top friendly and helpful. I don't feel like I have ever been forced into or led to believe that a vehicle required unneeded work. They have always been straight up and on the level with me. I also use them for all of my oil changes and vehicle maintenance. This place offers it all! So if you are in need of a great mechanic in Austin, I definitely recommend checking this place out. My only wish is that they had either weekend hours or stayed open past 5 on the weekdays. Oh Juke... what can I say? Well you had my Camry for about 3 weeks! I was beyond frustrated with a repair that they couldn't quite get to the bottom of. Let me say, now I have learned that Toyota EGR systems, particularly in cars that are over 18 years old, can be difficult to fix. On top of that this specific system takes a lot of time to clear and be sure the fix was correct. I invested a lot of time and money with Juke on getting my car fixed properly. I was really upset and disappointed when I felt like they couldn't get it right. The check engine light came on the same day I had picked the car up from them. I almost cried. I composed myself and the next day drove the car back in and met with David the manager of the shop. He took the time to listen to me complain and why I was so upset about this problem. We worked out an agreement that was generous on their part. He honored my request and got the problem fixed. They were thorough with the repair and checked to be sure it was clearing all the right codes. My point here is Juke listens. Cars are complicated. The fixes are not always clear and just because you see a suggested repair on google or youtube doesn't mean that is the real issue. You need a shop with the experience, equipment, talent, and tools to really get to the bottom of it. Google ain't gonna fix your car! Juke will. Be clear with them about your expectations and what you want and they will come through for you. My loyalty and praise of a business isn't just based off how they do everything right also how the deal with a problem when something isn't right. Juke spend a lot of time making everything right for me and that is rare. They listened and came through. I highly recommend them. A+ read more

BEWARE, DO NOT TRUST ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS!!!! I had my car fixed in August and I have been thinking about what happened for months. It still bothers me so much, so I decided to share my experience. This place had wonderful reviews so I decided to drive 2 hours from San Antonio to get my car fixed. It took about a 1-2 weeks to get my car fixed. My car had been hit from the side and the rear fender and bumper had been damaged. When I received my car back I was in disbelief. I didn't understand how they could think the job that had done was acceptable. The fender looked fine but bumper was horrid. It was ill fitting and the paint was chipped off. I was told that my insurance USAA would only cover after market parts and that is why the bumper did not fit correctly. I don't believe this is the case though. My insurance sent me a check for the estimated damage and told me I file for more if it ended up costing more. An OEM bumper cost around 500 and they charged me for a crappy after market bumper for $400. I am absolutely sure my insurance would of covered the extra $100. Heck, I would have even dished it out myself if it meant having a bumper that actually fit. Even if it is true that the insurance told them that, they should have at least contacted me and let me know that the bumper would not for correctly. Then there is the paint chip. I was told that the paint chip was not there when they finished the car, and somebody must of hit it while they had it parked on the street. I'm sorry, but the car should still be under your car until the owner comes and picks it up. Maybe don't park the car on the side of the street before the owner has even seen the car? Their solution was to refund me back the amount for just the bumper plus a little bit more for the trouble. They refunded me about 25% which isn't much. Considering I only came in to have 2 parts fixed. This was a horrible experience. They offered to fix it, but why would I trust them to fix it again when they were so irresponsible the first time? I also did not have the time to wait another week for my car and drive another 2 hours. read more

I have a suggestion Y'all should also charge for just labor a lot of people have there own parts and no tools I feel like you will get even more business, makes sense that you don't because y'all will make more money off parts and labor combo sucks for the poor people like me read more

My vehicle was overheating and I could not figure out what was going on. I sent them a message on here and someone called me first thing in the morning! Jenny was extremely helpful and dealt with all of my questions over the phone. I was able to get my vehicle towed to them and didn't even have to leave work early to meet them. They did a diagnostic on my vehicle and by that afternoon, they were able to tell me what was going on. It ended up being quite a hefty amount of work... $2100 worth of parts and labor (I have an older Subaru). She emailed me a workup of what parts needed ordered and what the labor would cost so I could discuss it all with my spouse. I gave them to go-ahead ASAP and they got it done within TWO DAYS! I was expecting about 4 - 5 days with how much needed done. Jenny called me with updates and an estimated time frame and was able to take my payment over the phone. She also let me know that they do have a warranty on their services/parts for my peace of mind. Lastly, I work until about 7:00 and they close at 5:00. Jenny was able to leave my vehicle out front and my keys in the lockbox and emailed me a copy of everything that was done! Overall, I highly recommend. As stressful as car trouble can be, they made it the least stressful that I've experienced! read more

I have been going here for over 7 years, and Juke was the one who gave me some of the best advice with my old car--it was continually having issues, and he was right when he told me that I needed to get rid of it. Took my car in this week to (finally) get my brakes fixed, and it was a totally pleasant experience. One of the mechanics gave me a ride to a Car2Go so I could get to work on time, and I had a good time talking with the other guys. Very friendly folks. My front brakes were fixed for about as much as I thought they should cost (~$200) and Donny took the time to look over my car with me and show me exactly what was up with my rear brakes. I also did a maintenance check with them, and they came up with pretty much the same diagnosis as other shops in town. They also fixed my brakes faster than scheduled. For reference: I have a 15 year old Accord. The cherry on top, though, was that they rotated my tires! I was just feeling annoyed that I needed to go to Discount Tire to get my tires rotated before I go on a trip, and they'd already done it for me without my asking. Hooray. One note - there is no parking lot for this shop. Park on the street and they'll take your car in when they're ready to work on it. read more

Ok, so I dropped off my car and was pleased to know that they would drop me off where ever I needed to be in town. Juke keep me updated on my cars status and when it took longer than intended they provided me with a loaner. Again pleased. My car was fixed and returned to me asap. No abnormal long wait time. I went in already knowing what I needed replaced but they still wanted to do a diagnostic test. They came back wanting to replace my alternator, starter and a full set of tires. The total tallied to around $2,450. I took my car to another mechanic and had the alternator replaced for around $400. There was no issues with the starter at all. Their location Shady lane suits them right. Some shady individuals indeed. Trying to add fixing the starter which has no issues at all to try and increase the bill. read more

Friendly service and quality work (the last time I had another repair done there. But this time I feel I was overcharged. I needed a flat repair plus I heard a clicking sound when turning. So they said it would be $90 to check out the clicking sound. They found nothing wrong. They fixed the flat for $41! I just had another flat tire repaired across town for $20. And a state inspection for $18.50. And I get it. The $90 full inspection at Juke is 'a service'. And they took time with it but I had just had the car at the dealer for the same thing. And the recommendation from Juke's $90 inspection service was for an engine air filter, brake flush (which is determined by mileage, not an inspection) and a cabin air filter (it was just replaced a few months ago) wasn't even needed. $140 is a lot of money to have a car inspected and a flat repaired IMHO. read more

Hands down the best experience I have ever had at any automotive repair facility. Not only are these guys front face value down to earth gentlemen, they are knowledgeable and courteous as well. Brought my Mercedes E500 into them with some hesitation, considering I am use to the MB dealership up in my state of CT before I moved to Austin. Needed an oil change, done in a jiffy, and explained/showed me that my rear brake light bulb was out. They ordered the part and took care of everything. Whether it be a simplistic repair or a more complex job, I feel 100% certain I will be back for any and all repairs and or maintenance needed on this car or future vehicles, however long my stay here in Austin becomes. I've been here a couple of times for oil change, transmission fluid change, battery change, so many things! I'm so glad I found this place because every time the representative I spoke with was very transparent about pricing and explained very well what needed to be done with the car. It was so easy to call in and make an appointment and get my car back on time. I also like the complimentary maintenance check they do for my car every time I bring it in to catch things that I wouldn't otherwise notice. They provide shuttle out to where I need to go and even though they don't shuttle me back, I can easily take an ebike back or ask a coworker for a ride. On slower days, I can chill in their air conditioned waiting room while surfing the web or working remotely. All in all, Juke is now my go-to auto shop in Austin! read more
