Love the açaí bowls here. Smooth and creamy with a load of toppings. With the price I'm paying, please pack in all you can. Delicious too! Ingredients are always fresh for the bowls and I appreciate they don't use frozen fruits in their toppings. Only downside is they may have changed from the wide compostable bowls to narrow plastic ones. More difficult to eat when the bowls are so full. Looks prettier in a wider bowl too. read more

Favorite juice bar in Chicago! Not only do they serve juices and smoothies but they have so much more variety to offer as well-- Açaí bowls, savory toast, salads, nice warm soups if you're wanting something hot, small treats, house made kale chips, you name it! One of the best things about JuiceRx is that basically every ingredient used is made in house, I find that so cool as I like to know exactly where my food is coming from so it's nice to know that everything is made fresh. Interesting place. I really liked the vibe and atmosphere. The acai bowl I had was actually really good! Being from California I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur of acai bowls lol. Only think that was a bummer about this spot was the price. Way way over priced! They are pretty much charging more just because of the neighborhood. I'm giving it 3/5 Instead of 5/5 due to the outrageous pricing. Most twenty ounce acai bowls shouldn't be anymore then $8 and if they are then usually there is some sort of health food super powder or whatever in it. After a nice conversation with the owner following my last post, I went by JuiceRx this weekend to check it out again. Have to say that we had a great experience, and nothing like the last time (which prompted my previous low rating). Both staff members were great and went out of their way to suggest options that didn't have any tree nuts, given my wife's allergy. We enjoyed our bowl and smoothie and will definitely be back. Waited 30 minutes for an açaí bowl and smoothie and they weren't that busy (3-4 people in the store when we arrived). However, the line and wait got longer after we ordered. There were just two staff and I think they were also taking several orders over the phone. It was a bummer they didn't communicate or interact with people waiting long for their food considering there are pickup orders to consider as well. It's understandable though as they are trying to make the smoothies and bowls as quick as possible, but would have been nice to get an estimate wait time or if our order was coming soon. Their food alchemist açaí bowl tastes so GOOD! The owner contacted me promptly regarding my review. He asked more for additional feedback, and even apologized and invited me back in for shorter wait time...I consider that great customer service and am appreciative that he reached out! We will be back and hopefully be able to report back that our wait time wasn't as long :). read more

The açaí bowl isn't too small, which most places seem to be doing lately. They add a lot of toppings and it's very filling. The only reason I give it 4 stars is it is really expensive. Great place! First time here and I loved it. I have been looking for a great place to get smoothies, juices, and bowls in the area and I am happy to have stumbled upon JuiceRx. I ordered the Fire Brigade smoothie and it was made to perfection. (great consistency, great flavor) It was delish and packed with tons of good stuff--including jalapeno which won me over right away! Nothing like a little kick to a healthy smoothie. They have tons of other options too I would like to try when I return. Bowls, juices, cleanses, etc. I will definitely be making my way through the menu. If you are in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area I highly recommend if you are looking for a tasty and healthy pick me up. The staff was great. I do several juice cleanses a year. This place knows how to make deelish juices! Kale Pineapple & Cucumber Mint are the only 2 green juices in this world that I will drink! Overall very disappointed with my experience at JuiceRx today. The customer service was great, but my smoothie was one of the worst I've ever tasted in my life, it was unpalatable. I'm a frequent green smoothie drinker and had to throw this smoothie out after a few sips. This smoothie tasted like dirt mixed with water. It was the green smoothie with the matcha, avocado, and blueberry (which are usually my favorite ingredients) The only reason I came to JuiceRx was because my usual smoothie spot down the street had closed early. Stopped in today and what a pleasant surprise. So many beautiful drinks and treats to choose from. My only gripe is that they didn't even have one single drink without fruit juice. I decided upon the coconut water and kefir and it knocked my socks off. So shocking, that I'm sure it's really good for me. Stopped here for a late "lunch" and loved it! This juice bar has not only juice but healthy snack and light meal options. The ingredients are fresh and the juices are always changing. I got a juice with jalapeño which was surprisingly refreshing with the perfect heat. I could drink it daily! The only reason I didn't do 5 stars was the fact that it is a bit slow. There is only one person working behind the counter which when there are several orders, can make the wait a bit long. The juices have several ingredients so rightfully, just to make 1 juice is a process in itself. I will definitely be going back when I'm in the hood though! read more

When the smoothie shop tries to kill you-- I'm scared to go back here! My boyfriend told the man taking his order (who I believe was the owner) that he is allergic to almonds. This place proceeded to make his bowl with almond butter, when he pointed this out they started bickering about the food ticket, which was super awkward and unprofessional. 20 minutes later they made him a second bowl... this time with actual almonds in it! We were almost embarrassed to tell them, but when we did the owner seemed too busy to care. For a place that claims to have a health and wellness focus you would think food allergies and dietary restrictions would be understood and not taken lightly. We never got a formal apology or any sort of token for the 45 minutes we spent waiting for the bowls that almost killed my boyfriend. Bummer because I wanted to like Juice Rx SO badly! read more

I have gone to so many Acai bowl places and this one is by far the best. My favorite part is that you can build your own Acai bowl to make it exactly what you want and it can also fit your mood or craving. It is also not ridiculously priced - I would say a similar price to most Acai bowls but you get way more and a much higher value for your money at JuiceRx. The portion is very large, but if you don't finish its easy to store in the freezer or fridge at home. Their smoothies are also delicious and you can also build your own smoothie.
