Mango lassi + Strawberry + fat burner smoothie Lakeview Livin' (raspberry lemonade) tea
    Liz M.

I came in after a doctor's appointment and craving a smoothie, and I was greeted immediately upon entering. It was early in the morning (for me lol), so receiving a cheerful hello was a good feeling. I had never been, so the staff was really great about explain the menu and how it worked. The store itself was clean, and the decor was modern and chill. I chose a tea and smoothie combo - Mango lassi + Strawberry + fat burner smoothie & Lakeview Livin' (raspberry lemonade) tea. The tea was delicious; I couldn't stop drinking it! I did notice, however, that there seemed to be some kind of powder settling on the bottom and I wasn't sure what it was. However, it didn't affect the taste. The smoothie was also great. I liked that I could combine the flavors, as the mango lassi is mango pineapple, and I love mixing that with strawberry. It was pretty thick, but tasty. I did forget to ask if it was dairy free, but that was my fault. However, I didn't have any adverse reactions so that is a good sign! Overall, a really tasty combo. I will say, however, it is a bit pricey; I paid almost $20 for two drinks, both size small, which is steep in my opinion. It will definitely be nice to stop by for a treat, though!

Cute new cafe in town. Very friendly staff who are seem genuinely happy to be there and in the neighborhood. Not much seating so its more a grab and go. You can choose from so many different amazing choices. I actually can't wait to try more. First you can choose a team they have a bunch of green teas and others that are energizing or lifted. I tried the skittles it was a sweet green tea with a fun flavor! Then you can choose your shake! So many flavors from chocolate, cookie dough, oreo, fruity pebbles and so much more! They also have coffee if you prefer and everything comes hot or cold! Lastly you can choose a shot if you want. They have a b12 booster, collagen, and more! I tried the smores shake as well and it was definitely wow tasting! Teas and shot or coffee. Booster extra

It was good. Ridiculously expensive and weird MLM vibe?? This place seems like it might be associated with Herbalife? Won't be back because of the price, but it was not bad by any means, I just cant justify paying 25 dollars for a small and a large.

I'm the biggest smoothie/any healthy drink fan so I was really excited to find thjs place! It's a small tiny store front in lake view that is full of delicious protein shakes along with other options. So far I've tried the Cake Batter, Cinnamon Toast, and Cookie dough and cake batter was my favorite! The shake is so filling so sometimes I leave some to drink the next day. The prices are great, and it was a really easy grab and go via the Ritual app. I'll keep coming back here to try the many other flavors like s'mores and banana!

If you want a fruit smoothie, do NOT go here. Maybe I didn't realize the concept is protein shakes and not smoothies, but regardless they were not clear about this and they do not use any fresh ingredients. Drinks were gross and chalky, and one of them literally had a piece of paper in it. Giving it 2 stars and not 1 only because they do have friendly customer service.

Excellent smoothie and health drink spot in lakeview east! Ran by an amazingly sweet couple that make amazing healthy products for the community!! I live close by and really enjoy walking over for a delicious and nutritious drink to start my day. The smoothies are designed to be a whole meal so they make a delicious breakfast or midday meal. Their refresher are super yummy too! Get to grab one when I'm feeling sluggish or after a night out! Love this place!

I'm so happy that I met Meera and she introduced me to Rise Up! When I used to live in Lakeview, I used to stop by with my pup (Yes, it's dog friendly! And they gave my pup a little something, too). It's a chill place where you can just come and work on your laptop. It's in a nice location on Broadway (right near the Marianos and Walmart Market). The shakes, teas, and juices are delicious. I've tried to Oreo and Cookies and Cream shake and I can't believe they're packed full of nutrients and so healthy. I also got a health assessment one day that was pretty informative. Thanks, Jay and Meera!

Is this place expensive? Yes. Is it worth it if you want to treat yourself to a protein shake that doesn't taste disgusting and some pretty tea that'll fuel you through a workout? Also yes. I've liked all of their teas, and really like the mango lasi protein shake. The small protein shakes are super filling so you don't need to splurge that much. I didn't find them to be too pushy about making you get the shake+tea deal, and for a treat that I don't feel too guilty about I'd come back.

I love Rise Up! Shakes/Teas are so delicious, the employees are incredibly kind & active in the community. I run into the employees all the time, they are very active in promoting their brand. One time they saw me in the park working out and stopped to cheer me on during burpees, they're so fun and supportive! I'm smitten! Support this business!

This place is amazing! Came here because we wanted a healthy snack and we were so amazed by the menu and flavors available! The owner greeted us right when we walked in, answered all of our questions, and made us feel so welcome. Everything sounded SO good and it was hard to decide on what to get. We finally decided on the Teddy Graham and Cookie Dough smoothies. Both smoothies were so yummy and spot on with the flavors. They were also filling since they had plant protein and were actually healthy and delicious tasting! Pretty hard to beat combination. We will definitely come back to try more awesome flavors!

Mega (32oz) Cinnamon Toast Crunch smoothie & Mangolicious Tea
    Chandler D.

Checked in and used my mega-combo coupon to get a delicious cinnamon toast crunch smoothie & refreshing mangolicious tea. If I recall correctly, the mangolicious tea has energizing orange B-12 and mango tea. I usually let the ice melt down a bit because it's super sweet (just my opinion:) & I'm sure you could ask for more ice lol) but I would still 100% choose this over coffee. This was just my second time coming to Rise Up and 2/2 the person working the counter is super friendly and always wants to make sure you're satisfied with your beveragino before you leave!

Let's start with the positives. I love the vibe of the cafe itself, it's one of my favorite spots just for the abundance of natural light and the cute decorations & art strewn across the walls. It's also just a very social atmosphere due to all the meetup events that congregate there, which can be a pro or con depending on who you ask. The employees are all super chill! Generally good vibes and never had a problem with their service. Now the negatives. The drinks and food are so mid. I keep trying different options hoping that I picked the wrong item, because I so desperately want to find that "go-to safe item" at my favorite spot. But all of it is just so, so mid. Sometimes it's too sweet (the most common problem), other times the flavoring is just super underwhelming or grossly artificial. The baked goods are all pretty low quality as well, I honestly think I could make better pastries myself (and I am a person who tends to be hypercritical of my work, so that's saying something).

One thing I didn't love: my cappuccino was served in a Styrofoam cup while we were staying there. If you're drinking in, it really should come on a ceramic cup and saucer. Save the Styrofoam for takeout! The best part was that we stayed for a couple of hours and no one hovered over us, or made us feel like we had to leave. As for the coffee itself, it was just okay. Not bad, but not memorable either. That's a shame too, because the space is so comfy. Still, there are plenty of other coffee spots on the North Side - and this just gives me a reason to explore others in the neighborhood.

It is so tempting to open them and start smelling, only the signs very nicely ask you not to. Wanting a break from dime-store coffee and tea (Folgers - no hate, it has a place), I decided to get something a little less "meh". Added bonus is that I am able to support a family business, as opposed to the Walton family and their associated shareholders. The staff at The Coffee & Tea Exchange was wonderful! They helped me select three different coffees to take home, speaking to the roasts and what makes them unique. I'd also like to award some bonus points for just the right grind of coffee for my reusable Keurig pods. My amazement does not stop at coffee, either - this also applies to teas. I went home with a few varieties of some of the more flavorful loose-leaf teas I've had! The kicker? The prices were very reasonable! True, it is not as cheap as a large can of Red or Blue coffee from the grocer's, but at the same time, not as expensive as something a corporation (maybe with a two-tailed siren??) has convinced you comes from a magical place called Seattle. Final verdict: My freshman year roommate had 4 open tubes of toothpaste because "variety is the spice of life."
