Smoothie Joint is also one of the healthiest places. Has many things on the menu to choose. There's smoothies of course as well as bowls made with açaí, or other fruits and stuff. Came at breakfast. It's a good place for a healthy start. The main things of course are the smoothies, but that's not all, as they also have bowls made with fruits and vegetables. Good healthy items. There's a few of these. It's about $12 for a bowl. The Green Line Bowl is made with avocados and bananas, topped with coconut, granola, and strawberries. Just was kind of small, but it packed a lot in. There's a few other bowls including pineapple. Healthy place to get some breakfast or any time basically. It's located on Newport off Sheffield. it seems to be a smoothie desert in Wrigleyville area, so I stopped on by to the only location that was showing up on my map - I love the theme here of each smoothie being named after an L route! It's a very cute idea and from walking in you could see that the employee was making each drink with fresh fruit and vegetables - I got the green line express and my friend got the purple line. we both loved our drinks and added the vanilla protein. I am about 85% sure that they forgot the protein in my green smoothie. - here's the thing. there was one woman working there who was running all over the place while talking loudly on FaceTime. she then plugged her phone in in the middle of the room and had her FaceTime on max volume. we waited as the only people in the place for about 10 minutes and she just like did random things. - there were boxes everywhere and it just seemed like they were in the middle of moving out? there were two stools nowhere near the counter on the side (that was where her phone was blasting) it was a total mess and definitely not passing any cleanly tests.... - so yes, tasty and yes, there's potential. definitely not any poison in the drinks, but?!? what's happening!? read more

The Smoothie Joint were in my office building set up as a vendor and I was able to try one of their juices, Black Line, which has watermelon, charcoal, lemon and cucumber in it and boy was it good! The juice is so refreshing. Sonya, the young lady working the event was so kind and sweet. I want to try them all now! They have fresh smoothies, juices and bowls that are named after the CTA lines- so cute! Every time we go there, we're greater with a friendly smile and get to watch them prepare our smoothies with fresh greens and frozen fruit. I have nothing negative to say about this place. So today I tried supporting a small business and was excited to see a local smoothie bar in the area. As I walked in the customer service off back was TERRIBLE. I walked in with a smile and greeted the worker no response, I assumed he didn't hear me as he showed no emotion, smile or response. When I received my smoothie the lid was not on and he watched me struggle to put it on as it was messy from him pouring into the cup. I said thank you and once again he did NOT respond.
