    Strawberry Smoothie

Juicekeys has multiple locations in the area. This location is located downtown Durham so parking may be difficult depending on when you visit. There are some tables inside if you choose to dine in. The clerk was pleasant and brought my order out quickly. I got a strawberry smoothie and it tasted good.

Tl;Dr: tasty but on the pricey side smoothies and sandwiches, served in a lovely setting by attentive staff Juicekeys is a little downtown smoothie shop that's bigger than it looks from the outside. You order at the counter right by the front door, and there's ample seating inside and upstairs. Aesthetic is dark wood, local murals, and hipster lights. This would be a nice place to get some work done as a coffeeshop alternative. We ordered the chocolate fix bowl, a turkey and ham dipper, and one of their oopskey mystery smoothies. I got one item for free as part of a Yelp Elite event, and they were kind enough to point out which item was the most expensive to make free. The chocolate fix bowl and Oopskey smoothies were super thick and lucious. Spoons, not straws, for these! The chocolate bowl was chocolatey without being too much, and the granola, coconut, and chocolate chips added a nice crunch and additional sweetness. The Oopskey was a fun mix of random smoothies. My guess is that they save whatever is leftover in the blender from making ordered smoothies and sell it for half price. Mine had some tasty nut butter smoothie (light brown) and a sweet and fruity pink smoothie that I assume was strawberry, but the bulk was purple and I assume blueberry. I honestly didn't love it at first taste - it had some aftertaste that is maybe the protein powder? - but it grew on me enough to finish it (though I probably wouldn't order it again). Overall, a fun adventure and a great deal at $6. I would get this again and try some different colors. Finally, the dipper was a turkey and ham sandwich on gluten free bread and pressed like a panino. It came generously stuffed, and the bread didn't taste like it was gluten free. The only downside is that the food is fairly pricey, but the smoothies were well made, delicious, and filling. I'd come here if I wanted a healthier feeling lunch and/or if I needed gluten free options. Or for the $6 oopskey deal.

Have been meaning to come here for some time since I've moved to NC and was not disappointed. Food: I ordered a smoothie bowl because I've been craving açaí bowls. I chose the strawberry bowl as is. It was delicious and great flavor and texture. Not too sweet. I had to drive home 10 minutes before having any so I popped in the freezer for 5 minutes and texture was still great. Service: Clarence the manager I believe was extremely friendly and helpful. Great small talk about the area and the offerings while I waited. I came on a Thursday before 12pm so there was no1 there. I didn't wait long for the item. Checkout process and ordering is very simple. Ambiance: parking is VERY difficult. Even at the time I went I had to circle around to get a spot close by. All parking is metered. Still, the location is very welcoming. With two levels and nice wood seating and lighting. Nice if you want to come in and work quietly. Price: I will say this is very pricey for a smoothie. If it were an açaí bowl I MIGHT justify it. Ingredient are very fresh and bowl size is moderate (enough to save half)... But still.. I would love to try other flavors but at the price not sure I can justify making this a regular spot.

The smoothie bowl at juice keys was amazing!! It was thick and didn't melt quickly. I love how they put a second layer of granola in the middle so you don't run out of toppings. It was delicious! The service was good - they do have an app that lets you do curbside pickup which I imagine would be really helpful for the location downtown

If you are looking for a healthy refreshing snack in these hotter months then this is your place. I stopped in and got their berry smoothie and you could tell it was fresh. It is not overly sweetened with syrups so you can actually taste the fruit. I also grabbed some of their chicken salad for a snack later and it was a delicious. There was plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs if you were there to get a little bit of work done. The staff was also very friendly!

Green delight power smoothie really delicious! The dippers with roast beef (which us old folks still call a sandwich) was roast beef & I don't like peppers & the congenial young lady at the counter obliged by switching some items out. Upstairs that would be private & quiet. Unusual in a shop of this type & I like it. They have juices for cleansing that you can get discounts on if you're interested. Great location across the street from one of my favorite hotels downtown. Park on street around the corner & there's handicapped there too. Sometimes hard to find in Durham unfortunately. Very clean & cute little spot, I'll check out again!!

I ordered the strawberry cheesecake power bowl and this was one of the best bowls I've ever had. I was glad I was able to customize it because there are a lot of ingredients in a few of them that I wanted taken out. I also purchased two cold pressed juices that were delicious as well. There's a medium sized seating area in there as well as upstairs seating. I noticed that they also offer juice cleanse packages that I'd be willing to try. Parking in the area wasn't too great but it's located in the heart of downtown Durham, so you may drive around a bit. They also serve juice shots, smoothies, and a few other snack options. Juicekeys is a great option for quick healthy food items. Ingredients in my bowl: Almond milk, Strawberry, Apple, Almond Butter, Cashew butter, Coconut water, Date, Vanilla Protein, Stevia. Topped with: Strawberry + Coconut Chips + Maple Cream Juices I ordered: Lemon, ginger, Apple: tart but the apple sweetens it Cucumber, Apple, Kale, Lemon, Ginger

Cute place & open on Friday after Thanksgiving- one of very few breakfast places open nearby. Avocado Toast was delicious- though very small. Ended up ordering a smoothie as well which was also delicious. Service was quick and friendly.

Never heard of this place until my brother in law came to visit. It's located downtown so parking might be tricky. The inside is beautiful and welcoming. The menu is easy to understand but if you have any questions ask. I ordered the tropical smoothie and enjoyed it. I also purchased some coconut water and spent a total of $21. I'll be back soon

The towing situation in this lot feels predatory, and Whole Foods appears to have little to no control over it. I parked with the full intention of shopping, briefly stepped away with my dog, and returned within about 35-40 minutes--only to find my car had been towed. Staff couldn't even tell me where my vehicle was, and the on-site security was no help and seemed unaware of what was going on. Because Whole Foods doesn't allow dogs inside, I had no choice but to remain outside while trying to figure out what happened. I was left stranded, with my wallet inside my car, and had to pay for an Uber and $230 in towing fees--meaning I had to prioritize retrieving my car instead of buying groceries. What's most frustrating is that Whole Foods positions itself as a premium, customer-focused store, yet the parking situation does not reflect that at all. There is a clear lack of coordination between the store, security, and whoever is enforcing towing in the lot. This experience was stressful, avoidable, and completely unacceptable. It felt less like customer support and more like a system that allows predatory practices to happen right outside the store. Please be mindful where you park; be sure to travel with soenone! I would never want someone else to go through this--especially someone alone in that situation.

I don't really leave reviews or take the time to review things of this nature, but when I tell you…read moreI am GOOD off of Sprouts, I mean it. I went to Sprouts two days in a row looking for their family meal deal. I was told they were having an issue with a late truck, and I completely understand that things happen that are outside of the store's control. My issue was not that the truck was late. My issue was how the situation was handled. I asked to speak with a manager because I was hoping there might be some type of alternative solution. For example, if the store didn't have the cooked salmon available, perhaps they could have offered the raw salmon as an alternative. Instead, I was simply told that they couldn't control the trucks because they weren't their trucks, and that was pretty much the end of the conversation. I went ahead and paid for my groceries. The same manager I had spoken with apparently gave me a $5 coupon, but she never communicated that to me. She came to the register, swiped something, and walked away. I had no idea what had even happened until I later realized I had received $5 off. I am not someone who normally complains. I truly don't have the time or energy for it. But I was kind, respectful, and understanding throughout the entire interaction. I used to work in management, and I understand that you can't always fix every problem. However, you can offer alternatives when possible, and if there is no alternative, simply treating the customer with kindness and acknowledging their frustration goes a long way. I ultimately contacted Sprouts customer service to express my concerns. I wasn't complaining about the manager personally. I was explaining that I had come to the store two days in a row, the product still wasn't available, and I wasn't offered any alternative. What happened next was honestly weird and nasty. The manager, who I believe was named Tia, called me after I contacted customer service. There was no, "Hello, how are you?" or even an acknowledgment of my concerns. The conversation started with her saying something along the lines of, "Ma'am, I gave you $5 off," in a very stern and demanding tone. I said, "Okay, well, I didn't realize that." And that was basically the end of the conversation. No apology. No empathy. No, "I'm sorry we weren't able to accommodate you." No acknowledgment of the fact that I had gone to the store two days in a row. Just a phone call to tell me that she gave me $5 off, as if that somehow resolved the issue. I took FOUR Ubers to Sprouts. Two the first day and two the next day, just to go to the store and purchase food. I made the effort to come back a second day, and I was still understanding about the situation. The least I expected was to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Instead, I received a phone call that felt as though I had done something wrong or inconvenienced her personally. Ma'am, I am the CUSTOMER. I didn't call you to argue. I called customer service to share my experience and hopefully help address the issue. And let's be clear, this was never about $5. I came into the store expecting to purchase a family meal that would have cost around $30, and I still ended up spending $62 in the store. The $5 wasn't the issue. The lack of communication, customer service, and basic kindness was the issue. The other employees I interacted with seemed perfectly pleasant, so this isn't about everyone at the store. But the management experience left a LOT to be desired. I used to be in management, and one thing I know for sure is that you don't have to be able to fix every problem. But you should know how to communicate, offer solutions when possible, and treat people with kindness. If you don't like your job or don't want to deal with customers, maybe it's time to find something else. As for me, I'm good on Sprouts. They can have it. I'll find another location, or I'll just shop at Trader Joe's. Y'all have a good one with that.
