Ayyyy man, so look…read more I'm in Colorado for the first time. Not really knowing what's what, where's where who's who. Just left Denver and now I'm in Lafayette. Y'all got a crazy city in Lafeyette first of all, I know the median income gotta be like $200,000 because some of these properties is ridiculous. Might just be moving out here next but that's a different story. So it's like 21:06 (9:06pm ) and my sweet tooth itchin. I'm like hol on baby imma feed you just gimme a second. So I'm on Apple Maps (google maps is for old people) and I'm searching everything. Juice, smoothies, ice cream. Closed. Closed. Closed. Closed. Damn. Sweet tooth starting to ache. I'm like gimme a sec I got you! So I see this cow-a-bunga place. Had like 7 reviews, people gassing it up and it's 5 minutes away from Winona Lake Reservoir where I just finished my Post Brewery Co. dinner (good but not good enough for a review, tbh the cheddar biscuits were dry and the brussel sprouts overcooked but ion like to be negative with my yelp so imma leave it at that. Just needed you to know how bad I needed some sweet stuff). Anyway, I'm with my friend and I'm like yo should we do it and she's like absolutely. So we go. So we walk in. Two people behind the counter, boy and a girl. Coulda been brother and sister, real good chemistry here and the vibes had me feeling part of the cowabunga family from the jump. Love it already. So we looking at the flavors and we're like damn... what do we even get. All types of crazy names. Some like funky donkey or something. Death by chocolate. Don't know what Pralines are but they had that too. So I'm trying all these flavors, some guy in the bowling alley next door told me to get the Bing Cherry (not Bingo cherry like I thought it said). I'm like aight, it's cool, but I'm the kinda guy who asks to take the cherry off the milkshake so I couldn't commit to scoops of this thing. And then I see it. Pink Cadillac. The name, so daring and luxurious. I asked, "what is this?" "Strawberry and Oreo." My favorite dairy combination. Y'all. When I tell you my life done changed. This is the best ice cream I've tasted in a while. I wanna go back, and I also never want to see it again so it can't ever ruin the memory of my first time having it. All the flavors are cool. But pink Cadillac?? This place should be a mandatory visit for anybody in Colorado. Really the United States. I would fly here specifically for this ice cream. And I'm lactose intolerant y'all, I can't just be putting anything in this stomach. Nah. This hit different. I would like to especially thank Sebastian and Kylie (I think her name was Kylie) for making this experience like no other. Y'all really out here changing peoples lives one scoop at a time. I know y'all scooped a bit extra on our cones. That thing was huge. Just know you're appreciated for that. When I have kids, I hope y'all can come cater their birthday parties. 0-18, every single year. No matter where I'm at. Thank you, Pink Cadillac. And thank you, Cow-a-bunga.

I dont know what to say. Not so great tasting ice cream. Skip this place. Service was good.read more

Most Expensive Yogurt Ever…read more I'm from Southern California, one of the most expensive places in the country, so I'm no stranger to high prices. But even by Southern California standards, my experience at Yogurt Yum was absolutely shocking. Two small cups of frozen yogurt came out to $27.02. Let that sink in. Twenty-seven dollars... for yogurt. To make matters worse, the yogurt itself was average at best. Nothing special, nothing memorable, certainly nothing that would remotely justify a price tag like that. It tasted like the same frozen yogurt you can get at dozens of other places for a fraction of the cost. What really made the experience worse was the fact that there were no tasting cups available. Most frozen yogurt shops allow customers to try flavors before committing, especially when you're paying by weight. Here, you're expected to just guess and hope you like what you pick, while the price quietly climbs into the stratosphere. Again, I come from Southern California. I've been to plenty of frozen yogurt shops in places where rent, labor, and everything else is expensive. Never in my life have I paid $27 for two small yogurts. Needless to say, NEVER again will I buy yogurt from here. Buyer beware... you can't say you weren't warned.

Absolute greed.. I hate places that charge that much. I was in the area and didn't look at prices when I went in. So my fault. I paid for it. But never again.

It doesn't matter if you're a big fruit person or chocolate person (or general snack person really). This paleteria has you covered. Me, I'm all about chocolate and warm pastries, so of course I went for the churros con nieve (even got to make the churros caramel). I almost cried into these churros, they were so good. It does take a few minutes for the churros (I appreciated they gave me a heads up before I placed the order), but it was 110% worth it. I paired these delicious crispy caramel filled cinnamon heaven puffs with the horchata ice cream, and it was unreal. I couldn't stop after that, so I also added on a scoop of Nutella ice cream (no regrets). It was the best. On top of the awesome food items is the awesome staff. They made great suggestions, answered a bunch of our questions, and could make so many different things (all of which were amazing). The decor is also so bright and fun, and there are a couple tables in case you don't want that precious ice cream to melt before you get home. Can't wait to go back and eat my way through the whole menu. And then do it all over again.
