Amazing cornbeef hash, homemade all the way. And as other patrons have said very ample portions too. I couldn't finish mine. But it was to good to leave so I requested a box for my left overs. I was happy with the service too. Many places have tried to recover losses by cutting corners, serving food past it peak during covid. Came by to pick up some food. We got the Reuben which was the BOMB! Apparently they make their own Corn Beef which we could tell! My wife Had the Beef Melt which was subpar. I had sweet potato Fries but they forgot the salt on there. The pineapple slaw was an ok. So 1/4 items were good. I would definitely come back for the Reuben however! read more

I'm giving 2 stars because of the super friendly waitress. French Dip on Sweet Roll (ick), the Reuben was more fat than meat, fries were room temp. Cook got order wrong, when waitress showed him tag that was even highlighted "no sauce, no sauerkraut" he grabbed the tag and through it on the floor... at the end of the meal, that tag was on our table to pay... I don't know what happened. I have eaten at this restaurant for years. However the last two times I was there the food was absolutely terrible. The eggs tasted weird and the pancakes were burnt. The chef served the pancakes with a burnt side down thinking we wouldn't notice. Yuck! read more

Favorite among locals for breakfast and lunch. Ordered Judy and Jack omelette loaded with meat and vegetables, good sized as well for the hungry appetite. Country potatoes nicely done, only thing that could be improved was slightly oily and needed to be cooked just a little more. Service was excellent, down home comfort food. Everyone knows that the only place to get a decent tuna melt, fries, and milkshake is in a diner. Better yet, get the heck outta Dodge and go to a real small town diner. One that isn't all decked out in fake '50s crap with waitresses who hate you because you don't work in a diner that's decked out in fake '50s crap. At Judy's Junction, the waitresses all have hair like Flo from "Mel's Diner". They snap their gum loudly while waiting for your order. They call you "Sugar" and "Sweetie" and smile genuinely as you pore over the menu, which is sticky and smells like syrup. When the food arrives, it's on a huge, robust, white plate, which has been washed nearly a thousand times. It's chipped and covered in perma-grease. Luckily, it's filled so full that you can't even see it, so none of that matters. The tuna melt is served on sourdough (it's still California, after all). An entire tuna was used in the making of this sandwich. It's jam-packed with mayonnaise and cheese. I dare you to open your mouth wide enough to get a solid bite without squeezing tuna-mayonnaise-cheese mess out the back of the thing. The fries defy reason with their crunchy outsides and soft, moist insides. I skipped the milkshake. I'm watching my diet. read more

I can not say how good the food is as I walked out due to lack of customer service. First off, I stood there waiting to be seated. Day dreaming away, I then notice 2 workers about 20 feet from me behind a counter. I asked them if it is self seated. They hollered back, go ahead and seat yourself. They brought over a menu. About 30 seconds later she asked if I wanted to order, I said not yet. A good 5 minutes went by and the place was empty at this point. A big table walks in, a few more tables.... Still no order. A baby screams from a new table. I look at the time on cell phone. I literally put a timer on now. 3 more minutes pass by and I walk out. Oh yes, waiting, I was getting grossed out at the dirty salt and pepper shakers, goo dripping down on the ketchup bottle.... The burger was very good, cooked just right, nice fresh garnishes and hot crispy fries. Service was good, food came with 20 minutes of ordering. The place was only 25 percent full, so maybe that is why service was faster than in the past. This is simple food, no frills nothing fancy, but a decent burger at a reasonable price. read more

I use to love their hamburgers but they must have changed cooks. I think there must be new owners. Anyway, the buns use to be from the grill all crispy on the edges with good quality meat and condiments. The hot chocolate was made with milk, not just added hot water. We have passed by Judy's many times on our way over Hwy20 but never stopped in until recently. I am giving the restaurant 5 stars for the service and food, certainly not for style. That's not why you would eat here, but the eclectic mix of decor from decades of operation has a certain charm of it's own. The restaurant was very clean, from the tables to the restroom, and the waitress was very sweet and accommodating of us & our 2 babies. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Try anything with their bacon & you will not be disappointed! The portions were very large. My hubby got an omelette and I had a dish that was everything & the kitchen sink over a bed of country potatoes. Neither of us finished... I think I only made it a quarter of the way through mine. Not to greasy either, which is great for someone like me who doesn't eat much diner food. All this to say that we were impressed & we will be back next time we are in the area! read more
