He told me to try the trip tip. When I got inside I asked the woman behind the counter what she recommended. "I don't eat meat". Crazy response but she followed up with burgers or tri tip are people's most ordered. I went with the tri tip sandwich. It was plentiful and the fries were nicely salted and plenty. Full happy belly. She was checking in with customers, refilling drinks and keeping the area clean. Her charisma and overall presence gave a sense of above and beyond excellent customer service. Today (Memorial Day) we visited around the same time and my impression is they were shorthanded for the holiday weekend and definitely missing the superstar from the day before. I could see the drive through was busy and the dining room was also becoming quite busy. Our food along with 3 other tables took a while to come out and the remaining 3 tables had left over numbers and trays that needed to be cleaned. It was hard to find someone to help refill drinks and even took a few minutes just to get an ice cream. The restroom was out of soap and needed some attention. Maybe today was just a unique situation as I've visited this location at least twice year for years and never seen it like this. Regardless, this will always be our favorite pit stop aside from Foster's Freeze. It's also worth noting in the same lot are Walmart, Big 5, a Tractor store and Starbucks for anything you might have forgot for camp or need in general.
