We spent the week up in Clear Lake at a family member's lake house, and went out to dinner for our final night. We heard this area was an old gold rush settlement town, so I was expecting a super simple and honestly mediocre dining experience. From the second we turned down Main St., my mind was changed for the better. The street is certainly quaint, but super cute. Blue Wing Saloon in particular has been modernized while still keeping that old town charm. We walked in the front door and were immediately greeted by both gals working the bar + outdoor seating. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted, and opted for a patio seat that had the great outdoor feel, but also a view to check in on Thursday Night Football ;) Kameron our waitress might've made my entire week. She was instantly SO bubbly, sweet, funny, and cool, while also being professional, gave great meal recommendations, and was so quick to refill waters, check in on us, etc. 100000/10 server experience. Now the food!! Again, me, food snob. Italian. Why do I keep ordering pasta in public? It's my favorite but half of the time it lets me down... not here!!! I ordered the jambalaya on special which was served in a tomato cream sauce and it was chef's freaking kiss. Flavorful sauce, great consistency, tons of fresh meat. The sauce tasted seriously homemade! My fiance got the fish and chips, which was recommended by Kameron as one of her faves, and he absolutely agreed. A lot of fish and chips have way too much breading in comparison to the fish meat, and this did not skimp out at all. I'm not even a huge fish and chips fan and I loved this meal paired with the tartar sauce! Oh she also happily let me order a lemon drop martini despite not explicitly being on the menu. We love a flexible drink order! We got appropriately (and easily) tempted into dessert and a rose liquor, mostly because I just loved the ambiance so much and kept wanting to hangout with Kameron! We were totally full but decided, why not.. We ordered the pound cake with fresh berries, and Kameron helped us workshop what we wanted the rose liquor to be served with, and she nailed it in hot toddy form. It was all around the most amazing post dinner treat I could've asked for. Every single aspect of this dining experience made my freaking week. Cannot wait to come back!!!!

Our first impression wasn't good because there are tables and chairs out front - they were dirty, I could think of why anyone would want to sit here. YUCK! At least put a tablecloth over the disgusting table. We were staying at the Robinson rancheria casino, and usually get coffee here. But for the last month, their frothing machine and ice blends are broken, with not timeline as to when they will get fixed. So, we made the short 2-mile drive to Double D's. This will be my go-to place for coffee from now on. Please clean or replace the table so we can sit outside. This is the only reason for 4 starts and not 5 stars

We counted up to 3 flies sitting on an empty chair next to us at any given moment, with more flying around. We asked about the flies, and they brought out some spinny fly fans to keep the flies away. The flies were more hungry than they were scared of the fans. They also had a stash of these fans on the counter. So this wasn't a one-off problem. It was a recurring problem they chose not to solve. Yikes... Would I recommend this place? Probably not. If there were this many flies near our table, I wonder how many are in the kitchen?

We thought maybe she forgot; took forever to catch her eye and when we inquired about the waters she SNAPPED AT US THAT SHE WOULD BRING THE WATERS WHEN SHE GOT A MINUTE. So rude. Just offputtingly rude. When she finally stomped over to us with the water, she changed her tone quite a bit, but the damage was done. She also gave us zero time with the menu, as if we were an imposition and a total bother to her. Seriously one of the worst serving attitudes I've ever had. Pretty sure I won't be in the area again any time soon, but I won't ever be back here. Shame on you, Mikes. Your food is good but not so good as to excuse the abysmal service.

I've been coming to Judy's Junction for over 25 years and it's the best restaurant in our county in my opinion. I love the clam chowder on Fridays! It's one of my favorites!
