Coming to Elmhurst from the city sans car involves a lot of coordination and planning with Metra, but it's undoubtedly worth it! The moment I sit in Judith's chair all of my "commuter stress" dissipates and I'm treated to, quite possibly, the best hair-sperience each and every time. Her consultation is thorough, she understands a lot of things about hair and color that will automatically relax you (and, trust me, I am a total control freak...too many mediocre haircuts and poor consultations will do that to a person). Since moving from Florida and meeting Judith I've had a wide variety of hair colors (blue, purple, magenta, red, blonde, brown, etc), ombre's, color panels, to the multi-dimensional highlights I'm currently sporting. Additionally, I run on a weekly basis, so Judith routinely consults me on healthy haircare since sweat causes color fading due to recurring washing and putting your hair-up causes multiple split ends (Ek!). She's fearless, confident, affable, and is a true artist. For me, the most important part of being a successful stylist is having your client completely trust you and that's what you get with Judith. Can't say enough good things about this salon. A few years ago, my stylist moved away and I was left overwhelmed and unknowing where I would get a decent haircut. Better yet, who to "trust" when it comes to cutting my hair. I'm a guy and I looked around for several months trying to find a salon. I went to upscale salons around my house, even as far as to giving up which led me to giving in to cutting my own hair. Yes the classic buzz cut. I was fed up. Than I met Nic at Judith B and haven't looked back. Not only does Nic understand how men like their haircut, she is a master with the clippers. I would pay upwards of $50+ dollars at salons, only to be left with an uneven fade in my hair. I prefer the short tapered sides look with the classic length on top left short. Nic cuts it perfect every time. She's very patient and always takes her time. All of the other stylists are very professional and the owner of the salon always greets me when entering. This salon is THE BEST! So clean and inviting, I felt like a queen. Nic is top notch and I won't let anyone else do my hair. Her cuts are so fresh and her color is spot on. She really takes time with her clients and is a true artist. She's been doing my hair for 4 years. I know I can go in and say "Go for it!" And she will make me look awesome. Love this salon! It is very young and modern. Everyone there is very sweet and friendly. I feel like other places the stylists are kinda in their own world and focused on what they're doing, but here they really interact with each other and compliment each other on what they're doing. My stylist was Nic and she was spectacular. She asks you what your ideas are on what you want and really takes the time to discuss it with you to make sure it's what you want. I've always come out loving my hair and what is even better is she cuts my 7 yo daughters hair also! She's great with her and was able to keep up a convo with her while doing her hair as well. Nicole C. is an amazing stylist !! I am 7 months pregnant ( please spare me on the you shouldn't get your hair colored while you're pregnant speeches ) and have felt really down about my appearance the last few months. A week before my baby shower I saw Nicole and got a full highlight, tone and trim. I felt like a new women !! Love this salon!! I would recommend to ANYONE again and again. Kelly colors my hair and has been for 20+ years.. I followed her here from other salons and this has to be one of my favorites. (Having a glass of wine or a cup of coffee while I wait for my hair to process is like a vacation and a service rolled into one.) But really she does amazing work! She takes into consideration what type of look you are going for (whether it be for prom, weddings, or even an every day look) and makes it into something you couldn't even imagine. Nia, eyebrow specialist, has shaped the most beautiful brows I have ever had! Nia listened to my "brow wants" and she blew it out of the water! After our first brow appointment, she told me know that I would not be pleased with my brows at first. However, with a little TLC from a brow serum- I chose rosemary (essential oil) and Jamaican Black Castor Oil. She knew that my brows would grow the way I was looking for them to grow. New salon in elmhurst love it! Recently opened, and they did an amazing job on my hair.I had a new hair color technique done by Mary called balayage. It turned out so cool. I love it. She also gave me a stylish cut. I work in Fashion and the color and cut Mary gave me is one that is definitely going to keep me looking the part! I had Guada do my makeup this week and it was absolutely perfect. She really knew what would look best on me, and I just got to sit back and let her work her magic. She did what I asked, but also added things that she knew as an artist would look best on me, like encouraging me to try a very red lipstick that I usually wouldn't. Laura is the only one I let touch my hair! She's been doing my hair for years and always does amazing- both cut and color. I like how she stays on top of education, and she uses it to make my hair better. Last month when I got my hair cut she used this new technique that cuts down on split ends. Yay!
