The cured ham (not sure what was the matter with it :-) is exceptional. Small storefront with a large selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, and imported products. They are cash only, so hit that ATM before you come through. There was a queue when my (Polish) boyfriend and I came to pick up some goodies for a BBQ last Saturday morning, but the wait passed steadily and gave us some time to look around and make decisions on how much of what to get. We got a ton of kielbasa to grill up on kabobs and serve with spicy Russian-style mustard (my favorite), and it was a hit at the party. We also got kabanosy, dried sausage, for snacking. He got some ham as well, which he swears is better here than anywhere else. Most of the other customers were also Polish and ordered in Polish. I'm not fluent in it and left the talking to him, so I can't quite expand on the service, but they were polite and smiled at me a lot. read more

Absolutely love this place. The kielbasa is amazing but the magic doesn't end there. Great selection of deli staples including headcheese, yes headcheese. They have a great smoked pork belly that's always fresh and cut to your liking. And they offer a bunch of polish pantry items to round out your meals. Extra bonus, you can pick up some prepared polish classics like cabbage roll. The store is a bit small and tends to get crowded on Saturday mornings. This is the best shop in the neighborhood! Amazing smoked meats and sausages. A full supply of Polish staples like mustards, breads, canned meats and fish. Today I picked up some Bigos, a hunter's stew and of course it is out of the world delicious. This Polish butcher shop is an absolute neighborhood gem. It's my go-to spot for smoked meats and cheeses. I especially love the smoked gouda and dill havarti, and you can never go wrong with the kielbasa (and they have several options). Jubilat Provisions also sells jars of pickled vegetables and fruits, along with condiments. The pickled garlic with peppers and herbs was underwhelmingly bland, but their mustards are fantastic. So flavorful with a slightly thicker texture than usual. They also have giant containers of fresh pickles and various dishes. The stuffed cabbage rolls were decently hearty and drenched in that tomato-y sauce, just the way I like it. Go in the mornings to pick up a paczek (Polish jam-filled doughnuts). Jubilat Provisions gets them from a bakery in Greenpoint, which is basically the epicenter of the Polish community in NYC. Let me start by saying I only discovered this place a week before moving out of Brooklyn and I'm quite annoyed. THIS PLACE IS UNREAL!!!! I always walk past this spot (5th ave and 17th street) but never actually walked in. It always has such long lines and closes early on the weekends. To start, it is a 100% Authentic Polish meat delicatessen and carries lots of polish meats, condiments and sweets. We tried the garlic kielbasa and the regular and wow they were tasty. I like the regular better but that's my preference, my hubs loves both. The mustard we bought was a great pairing. NOW, I saw these cute little cookies in the window and wanted to try them. They are walnut shaped shortcrust pastry cookies filled with caramel fudge! I MEANNNNNNN, they were so delicious I am craving more right now. This place has the best prices and is cash only. Came in after having lunch with friends a few store fronts over during this pandemic. The donuts in the window and Polish sausages drew me into the establishment. Thinking I help small businesses during this crazy time in NYC, I wanted to spend some money but that all changed when I realized the lady behind the counter didn't care to serve me and gave some nasty attitude. I am guessing because I wasn't Polish nor was I white but asian. When i asked her a question about the sausages in the glass cabinet, she gave me this look of disgust and didn't want to answer me with an answer but with a snarl and mumbled something under her mask. So I sensed I wasn't welcomed so I quickly just asked for the sausage and a few donuts. I didn't leave because I was with friends and they wanted to buy some food there to bring home. I wasn't expecting racism in this nice looking store but was I wrong. Guess racism will never end when we have people like this in the neighborhood. Sucks I experienced this cause what I bought was pretty good. Hope they survive the pandemic but I will not be returning. read more

This is the best Polish store when it comes to the kielbasa and cold cuts. My family has been coming here since they opened in the early 1990's. We have moved away and still make our journey down to Brooklyn just for their kielbasa's which are then shipped off to all corners of the USA for my siblings in dry ice coolers. For all my Sheepshead bay and Brighton beach folk who wish there was an Eastern European market closer to civilization - this fits the bill in many respects. It's a polish delicatessen where they smoke their own meats- pork only I believe. We tried the smoked ham and some kielbasa which were both delicious. They also sell sauerkraut by the pound and have jars of pickled preserves, horseradish, European mustards and chocolates you'd find in a typical Russian store. Wish they had prepared foods but didn't see any. They also sell my favorite prince polo chocolate wafers. And the price is cheaper than a deli for their own smoked meats. Went to Jubilat for my Easter kielbasi and babka. Was totally surprised that there must have been 20 customers stuffed into that tiny store, basically almost shoulder to shoulder, waiting to be served with others hanging in the doorway out into the street. None of the staff had masks on altho there was a plastic barrier. Masks were not required inside this tiny store so half of the customers were masked, half unmasked. On previous visits they only allowed five customers in the store at a time with customers waiting outside for their turn -- a good system considering the tight space. The situation this day was irresponsible and totally unnecessary since it was a beautiful day to wait outside. Of course, their products are excellent but is it necessary to disregard health concerns? read more

I have been coming here for 7 years and only recently have I noticed that their service towards me has changed. A few weeks ago, I walked in and never got served. All the other customers were polish, and I am asian. Even the three customers that came in after me were served. So I walked out. I decided to give them another chance. I walked in at 644pm today (they close at 7) and they told me they were closed. Right after I left, a white man walked in. I was so angry I just watched through the window and saw that he was buying something. I then walked in and asked what time they closed and she said 7. Why did they not serve me? I am all for supporting local businesses (you can see my previous good review of their place) but my support has ended for this one. read more

I like the kielbasa and garlic sausage but sometimes it's too salty . The kielbasa in Chicago is better-sorry but it's the truth. The owners are friendly to me but I speak polish so I don't know in some reviews some people felt they were not friendly. This is a place to get groceries and take out. Cons I don't like that they don't take credit cards. Some of the sausage is too salty. Tip If you want fresh sausage come on Monday afternoon. The service was super helpful, answering my questions and offering recommendations. But moreover, when I got the kielbasa home to try, I was blown away ... delicious, super smokey and garlicky. However, it's definitely a butcher shop first and foremost, so while the kielbasa are killer, there aren't a ton of pierogi, breads, baked goods, or other Polish treats on hand. read more

the world of polish smoked meats is a great place to be and so happy i stopped in on my walk!! im from chicago which has an abundance of polish delis which all make me oh so very happy, so was excited to see this gem in brooklyn while walking around with my sister. i loved how many sausages were hanging from the ceiling!! felt so quaint and nice. i had just gotten a taco, so decided to get smth sweet to finish off a day's lunch, so got a raspberry pastry, a slice of polish apple cake, and a cherry juice box!!! the polish apple cake was SO GREAT, not too sweet at all, and basically apple pie but instead of crust, a nice light cake. the raspberry pastry was also great, again not too sweet and full of fresh fruit flavor. read more

I guess I shop here so often they are familiar with my order. I love the homemade cabbage rolls and sauerkraut as well as their house smoked meats and even the double smoked. When I don't deviate my order is usually 2 pounds of sauerkraut, a pound of the slicing kielbasa with pepper, some bread, if they have it, the homemade pate. Absolutely THE BEST. I come here often...a few times a week. Always a welcoming and Helpful Staff. Slicing Kielbasa with black pepper...delicious on it's own but, on some of the multigrain crusty sliced bread by the door with some polish mustard...out of this world good. Smoked or double smoked kielbasa preferably with garlic is wonderful as a snack with some of their homemade sauerkraut or pickles and dip of mustard. Smoked or double smoked Canadian type bacon...have them but it 1/4 inch thick to put on the polish bread or an english muffin with a fried egg and some polish mustard mayo. They pate which they have is buttery deliciousness... great schmeared on a sandwhich with onions, capers, mustard, and some fresh herbs. They have a lot of polish groceries as well. Their desserts are absolutely awesome. They recommended a plum crumb cake which I took to a cookout...warm it up a bit with some ice cream. Nepolean Cake...flaky with pudding and powdered sugar...an old school memory. The donuts are huge and just enough filling per bite with a nice sugary coating. My father, a long time friend of the owners, always use to take me to Jubilat Provisions early on Saturday mornings. A kabanos (small-kielbasa) in one hand and a paczek in the other, always made for a great weekend. I am not being biased in my review whatsoever, this butcher hands down has the best kielbasa I ever tasted in my life. Being a true Polak, i traveled many times to Poland tasting fresh kielbasa that was made the day of or even after (we all know we should let your meat rest) from a pig I watched slaughtered.
