The last week of May 2023, I paid Juan Electric, Lake Arrowhead, over $400.00 plus a $20.00 card charge, and I still have not received an email receipt for the work done. The work was to replace a front door lock, which I provided, and had a key lock placed on my bedroom door. My husband asked for a flush lock on our bedroom door, which did not happen. Juan or his helpers put a patch lock on the outside of my bedroom door. When you pull the latch down, the door opens, locked or not. I contacted his company to complain about the latch on the outside door to our bedroom. On June 6, 2023, they returned to correct the botched-up job, and I was told they didn't have the tools to place a lock on the door jam (but you're a locksmith). The conversation did not end well, as he became extremely hostile and attempted to argue with me on his downright shoddy work on a home over $600 K, and told me the job was "IMPOSSIBLE." He defaced the inside of our home. Now I have to pay someone to come out and correct his career. I'm well-known in my community, and people mirror my recommendations. Juan did a great job unlocking one of bedroom door. My son locked the door and we couldn't get it unlocked ourselves. We called a couple locksmith and they wanted to charge us so much more then Juan quoted us. When he got to the house I literally took 2 seconds for him to unlock the door for us. I am not sure how all of these reviews are five stars but let me tell you my experience. I scheduled Juan to come out and change a lock at a property. The following morning one of his competitors called and asked if i needed lock service, I said no since I had already booked with Juan. Later in the day when Juan had not shown up I called him. He said that he had given my info to his competitor and that I had canceled. The competitor then tried to raise the price on me knowing that I was in a bind. I got them to finally agree to come out for the price that Juan had promised. They said they would call when they could come out, I never heard from them and had to find another locksmith. I don't like writing bad reviews but, in this case the reviews on yelp were completely different then my experience. Could have been a bad day, I dont know. read more
