It was a cold day and we were looking forward to some Colombian cuisine which was new to us. The place was easy to overlook as the signage didn't really stand out. And more construction is ongoing along Hwy 301 further obscuring visibility into this location. In any case, this is not a "sit down" restaurant as we had to place our order before sitting down. We previously checked out the menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. I ordered the Paisa Bowl ($17) and my wife tried their Steak and Papas bowl ($20). We also ordered French fries ($3.50) and a can of Coke Zero ($2.50). I thought service was a tad slow (there were maybe 5 tables occupied including us) but we were served our lunch soon enough. Our first impressions were good presentation but the portions were meager. The fried pork belly pieces were nice and crunchy but there weren't enough of them. The ground beef had good flavors and I liked the fried egg over the rice and beans. My wife liked the flavor of the beef, although a bit fatty for her taste, but found the potatoes a bit dry and wished they were French fries instead. Speaking of French fries, it was served with this savory dipping sauce but again, the serving portion was miserly. My wife thought the guacamole was nice and fresh, making it the best part of her meal. All in all, we came away liking the flavors but thinking the value and portions were lacking. Service was a bit detached as well. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $51.

There's a level of familiarity in both the flavors and the experience that's hard to find. I usually order the bandeja paisa, and it's exactly what you'd want from a classic. Generous, flavorful, and true to tradition. It's the kind of dish that brings you back to the roots of Colombian cooking. The beef empanadas are another favorite. Crispy on the outside, packed with flavor on the inside, and consistently satisfying every time. Between the authenticity, the quality, and the consistency, La Antioqueña is a place I keep coming back to.

The lunch special ropa vieja was okay, not much sauce and a little dry for my liking. Perhaps this is just the Colombian style of ropa. It came with delicious soup and plantains. I ordered ahead online and did curbside pickup, but I'd definitely like to eat inside next time cause it seems like a fun atmosphere and good casual vibe. Will definitely be back to try some other things they're known for (friends rave about the bandeja paisa).

Located in a strip mall anchored by a Roses Discount Store, the place looked dark from the outside and the "Open" sign didn't appear to be lit but we knew they were open because of various Open yard signs in front of the establishment. Upon walking in, we were seated right away and presented the menu. They have daily specials but they didn't have pernil, although they had lechon asado like most of the Cuban/Latin American restaurants we've tried in the area. I ordered the lechon asado which came with yellow rice, fried plantains and red beans. My wife tried their Midnite Cuban sandwich. The lechon asado was flavorful (but of course no crunchy skin) and the yellow rice was good as well. My wife's sandwich, however, was a disappointment! The roast pork had an off taste and was gristly...she had to remove that meat from her sandwich. I tried her roast pork and was thinking of sending it back but my wife just removed all the meat from her sandwich. Perhaps we'll be back but definitely not ordering the Cuban sandwich again. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $30 with tip.

We…read morearrived at 7:30 and many diners had completed their meal and were leaving with to go boxes in hand. That indicated to me plentiful portion sizes- a plus. The entry was clean, well decorated, and well staffed. It was too small to handle all the leaving, arriving, and pickup traffic but there was seating inside and out. At any rate, our wait was short. We were shown to a comfortable table, promptly greeted, and provided with a basket of hearty corn chips and a great salsa- just a little spicy but also mild enough for my husband's tender palate. Angel was our server and she was great: attentive, pleasant, and informative. We ordered two appetizers:,mofongo and chichirrones. Both were great. The avocado sauce accompanying the mofongo was very flavorful, bright and tangy. The pork was well seasoned and had crispy and tender bits without and excess fat. It was just right. My daughter ordered the reine (white flaky fish with yellow rice and black beans), my husband had beef quesadillas with rice, and I had the chicken and shrimp Monterey. The fish was new to us all and was very good- like hake or cod. I don't know how mine tasted- I ate too much of the appetizers to have any room. But two of the 7 (!) to go boxes were just mine and we will ALL dine well tonight, too. An added bonus, while there, I learned that they made Sancocho (a delicious soup/stew/heaven in a bowl) on Saturdays. SOOOOO, we placed a pick up order for two large containers and the desserts we couldn't justify last night- carrot cake and flan. There's no doubt we'll go back. Paella and fajitas are at the top of my list but I suspect that the entire menu will be worth a try. We have lived all over the country as well as traveled and often found good Mexican food hard to find. We are thrilled to know Latinos y mas is in oca

What an incredible gem in Deland!…read more Parva is a delightful restaurant, bar, and bakery right on Woodland Blvd. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our time here. We arrived early for our reservation and grabbed seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted with a smile and extensive menus! This menu is so vast, it reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory in the best way. There is truly something for everyone here. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, you name it. I opted for the vegetarian "Vegetable Bowl" and my husband went for the fajitas after another guest recommended both items. The cilantro sauce and the caramelized plantains were my favorite part of the Vegetable bowl, and my husband loved every bite of his fajitas. Everything was hot, fresh, and it arrived quickly. There are a number of different dining areas here and we loved sitting in the back dining room in a comfy booth. Even though other diners were present, it felt like we had the place to ourselves because the tables are spaced far enough apart that there's plenty of personal space. No need to shout to hear your dining companions. All in all we loved Parva and look forward to coming back on our next trip to Deland.
