First time today at this place! It's a cute nice whole in the wall type of restaurant. They have tables to sit but you can also order take out by the bakery. The arepas were ok but the empanadas and pan de bono were SO good! The waitress was very nice and keep checking on us. The only reason why I had to take points off, I went to the restroom and saw a HUGE roach! It made me lose my appetite after seeing that because it makes you wonder where else is there roaches here. Our server gave us some cheese bread (made from tapioca flour and cheese) and bread pudding to try for free. Loved the cheese bread so it is definitely worth a try! First off, the people who work here are super nice. This was my first visit here and I was impressed with the service and food. The menu was full of great options. Sangawiches, burgers, plates and bowls. I ordered the Chicken rice bowl. It was huge. Everything in the bowl was awesome. Rice, Beans, corn, plantains, chicken, and a few other things. It was enough for two. My coworker had a different bowl with chicaron, chorizo and a bunch of other meats and starches. She said that that order was the small one. Crazy. I then ordered a Flan and a tres leches. I took them home along with my left overs for another meal later. There is plenty of seating. The waitress was on point. Very attentive and very pleasant. Always ask for the aji (spicy sauce) and the green sauce; both are excellent choices for your empanadas. I can't forget about the coffee. They make a delicious cafe con leche here. They also have a fridge with frozen packaged items to buy, including corn arepas or chorizos. Definitely, check it out if you are in the area. Great flavors and different options for breakfast if you feel like trying something new. Been a loyal customer for about 2 Years, but this place has turn into a joke, the atmosphere is horrible, loud music coming from the kitchen, you can't even hear the person that is seated next to you, one of the chefs is wearing pijamas or dressing like he was on the beach, what is that? Really enjoyed visiting this establishment on a recent visit to the Sanford area! The staff were super friendly when we arrived. They gave us ample time to peruse the menu, as they have a variety of options for breakfast (served all day) and lunch/dinner. We landed on some coffee drinks and Cuban breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches also come with a side of honey mustard, which I didn't quite think of being on a breakfast sandwich. When we tried our sandwiches, they were absolutely delicious and the honey mustard was like the cherry on top! We both also enjoyed the mochas we ordered to go with our sandwiches. I did find the price of breakfast is very high it cost me $40 w a $5 tip for basic breakfast the least expensive on the menu. It maybe because of the high cost of things but that amount for two breakfast is high. I will say the portion was good. I have eaten for dinner and it has an excellent meal with good cut of meats. What a great find! Stumbled upon this place looking for breakfast and it was a great surprise! They had all my favorite Colombian breads- pan de bono, pan de queso, pan de arequipe - all very yummy! Tastes just like the ones from Bogota and Cartagena. Ordered the huevos pericos with corncake - serving was huge! The cheese in the corncake was very delicious, exactly like the white cheese from Colombia - nice and salty but just the right amount. The beef empanada was also very nice - the whole empanada was filled with beef! Sooo good!
