What an amazing authentic place. If you're in the mood for Cuban food, I would definitely recommend this place. It is a smaller location in Winter Springs. However, this only adds to its charm. I had a Cuban sandwich and my girl had ropa vieja. We are both very happy with the food at this location and I highly recommend it.

We returned with our now two year old and I am SO happy they are still here!! The owner was the same cool guy I remember from last time. Super personable, hard worker, kind. Last time we got the tres leche cake. We ordered the same thing again, on top of a dirty chai latte, their Stache latte, a couple breakfast sandwiches, and a chocolate milk for the little one. The ambiance is so very cozy and exactly how I envisioned my own imaginary coffee shop. Cool photos on the wall, nostalgic board games, cute plants and books along the walls. Quite literally how I want my home to be lol. The drinks we ordered were absorbed within minutes. My son is very picky with his chocolate milk lol but what Derek (sorry about the spelling??) made, my son approved! Breakfast sandwiches were perfect portion size, and the spicy beef empanada was enjoyed thoroughly as well. And just as I remembered, the homemade tres leches cake was still the best I've ever had. Pictures were not taken because the items ended up in our bellies way too fast :') This cafe is very community oriented with game nights, opportunities to connect with others to learn new languages, and Bible study. This place is 100% the place to stop by. I can't say enough good things about it, and all of Derek's hard work, passion, and dedication shows.

Food-wise, I only ever get the chocolate croissant or the coffee cake and both are delicious. But they do have empanadas and breakfast sammies on the menu. The inside screams coffeehouse, w a big bookshelf, games and books everywhere, eclectic wooden furniture. No music in the mornings, which might be the one thing I'd add. I'm a morning visitor, but I know that they have game nights and languages immersion nights that sound fun. Will update if I make it out for one. Support local!

I drove…read morefrom Orlando to Lake Mary in search of the coffee flight and the spooky coffee bucket Cute little small place- you can either get coffee and bakery foods to go, or get full service. My sister and I decided to dine in and enjoy the food too. I got the coffee flight and my sister got the spooky coffee bucket. My flight was so good- it was two espresso shots divided up between 4 coffees which I had the choice between iced or hot. I got the soup of the day which was chicken noodle and it had a good flavor to it. I had a bite of my sisters bistro burger and it was super good too Service was wonderful. The gentleman that served us was very friendly and I felt very welcomed. Such a great coffee shop, just wish it wasn't so far away!

Going in, there was a good amount of seating inside, but this only available to those dining *eating* in. We ordered 1x Fall Coffee Flight and 1x Ube Coffee Latte. Moving on with my review, I was highly dissapointed with the taste and the price. I'll give one positive note that if you're somebody who likes to control the amount of sugar in your coffee that you might like this place. But aside from this, the drinks were nonetheless insipid. First off, the Ube Latte bucket was bitter and missing that sweet vanilla, nutty, earthy flavor profile. Secondly, while the pastel de nata had a decent almond flavor and pumpkin roll had reminiscing tones of pumpkin; the other two had a very faint taste. For example, Tarmissu could've used a chocolate syrup to contrast with the cinnamon dusted on top. The apple strudel needed a bit more apple flavor (possibly actual cider) and a caramel syrup could've been good here as well. Moreover, given a price tag of ~$31 for both drinks, this just made it feel a let down all together. Overall, maybe our experience was different from everybody else, but I would only give NewCity 2/5 stars.
