I have been eating here regularly for several years, so I didn't realize I had never written a review. Great Cuban food served in a diner feeling establishment. They feature a wide variety of menu items serving all day from breakfast through supper. I last visited after dropping my dog off at Petco for grooming. Last time in I had my favorite dish they serve, Ropa Viella (sp?). I also had a mango smoothie. Both were delicious. I also grabbed a guava/cheese danish tor later. The staff is always friendly. Nice place!!

#6 Churrasco Steak 8 oz.

I ordered the steak medium rare with white rice and black beans . Not only did i not get the beans but the steak is well well done and it taste old the maduros taste like the ones you get at Walmart heat up from the Goya bag ! The steak did not look like the picture on their menu ! I'm from Miami where Cubans make the churrasco steak and it's delicious i was super excited finding out they had a Cuban spot around the corner that offered that but it let me down i will never eat here again !!

In my past life, I worked right down the street from the area in Apopka and I am so guilty. I rarely ever went as far unless I was going to TJMaxx... yes, I'm terrible. I did already know that there were amazing small businesses in the one shopping plaza, small businesses like Heber's, I just never had the inclination to test out the waters. But I've been rebirthed, and here in my newest life I have been looking for those restaurants that I have been hearing about repeatedly because of course most places have a multitude of Yelp reviews nowadays so it stands out the most when I can recognize the name of a restaurant and follow it with "... told me about that place the other day and said it was amazing". Heber's is one of these places. Many of my former coworkers raved this place into phyche so I have it a shot because I freaking LOVE Cuban food... ALL OF IT. But anyways the service was top notch as they are doing their best like many others to provide safe service during the virus. The food was only okay. I say this because I've had Cubans on the Run... so pretty much everything you eat from there on after, no matter how delicious... cannot get the same rating as Cubans on the Run... because that would be saying they are the same level of delish and that would be a lie... because none of the variations of Cuban sandwich from Heber's came with FRIGGIN PLANTAINS ON IT.. ok I'm done

This is a solid Cuban Place! Indoor and outdoor seating available and plenty of parking as it's in a shopping plaza. Went for lunch time and it wasn't too busy. A little confusing how to order as we weren't sure what they were doing for covid. Anyway we were seated and staff was prompt. Serving sizes were large! Got a grilled chicken lunch, chicken was not dry and was seasoned well. Fries were double fried and amazing. The chicken soup had a hint of tomato in it, wasn't a fan of it. Was hoping more for a clear broth which this isn't. Husband ordered the vaca frita at that was good as well. Tostones were fresh. Bathrooms were small, no changing table, and I didn't like how the main tables were sticky, took away from the ambiance. Overall food was solid and I was satisfied after, would recommend!

Mamey Smoothie

A Cuban bro and I stopped by here to get a quick dinner (almost a year ago ) and I absolutely loved this place! It's owned my a fellow member of our church and they served some pretty good food! Since I'm Chinese, I'm not sure what the steak dinner I got was actually called. The favorite part was the mamey, which is supposed to be a classic Cuban smoothie of a fruit of some sort. Next time I might just order that to go, before I find a good recipe and begin to make it myself. Yum!

I will begin by saying is a quiet place family oriented establishment. The waitress is friendly and the place is clean. I had the Tilapia Fish sandwich and it was very pleasing to the palate. Great seasoning! Bite after bite you will be satisfied. The Yuca bites are fantastic! Better when dipped into the garlic sauce. The sweet plantains are delicious. Folks this has the traditional Latin flavors, please stop by and enjoy

Cuban Regular Sandwich

I like how you can order a whole Cuban sandwich for $7 so it's a good price not bad at all and you get a lot of food! Just know it will take a while about 10-15 min wait to get your sandwich not the best Cuban sandwich compared to the one I had in Miami but still good and affordable!

Oj and Espresso

I love this breakfast spot! They don't serve pork, which is awesome. Plus nothing is lacking in the flavor department. The staff is nice and courteous. They have the best espresso and beef soup. I'm not a breakfast person so to find a restaurant that caters to breakfast, and has lunch and dinner options is amazing.

Ropa Vieja Dinner

First time here. Very prompt and helpful counter help. Only slightly busy for lunch. Clean, looks and smells great. Many locals, not touristy. Salivating for ropa vieja dinner. Definitely worth the drive and wait. Would highly recommend and will be back when in Orlando area!

Extremely oily soggy Green Plantains

I ordered a meal thru DoorDash (delivery was fast) and the bad appearance of my side made me question the standard of this restaurant as far as quality. I ordered Tostones (Green Plantains) and they were very dark, soggy and extremely oily. They were old, gross appearance and not safe to ingest. I don't understand why they thought it was ok to serve them or why the girl at the counter was bother when I returned it. No even an apology. I am Not recommending this Cuba restaurant at this time. I know we all going thru difficult times but cutting corners this way is not going to help.

Saturday Palomilla Steak

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was great along with the service. Definitely will be one of my go to restaurant when not cooking! I had steak and my hubby had the red snapper!

Food is amazing. Everything we've ordered has been delicious. We've done dine-in and takeout both with no issues at all.

My husband had the Peruvian shrimp with yellow rice, salad, and black beans. We were both raving about the taste while eating. They have a range of dishes from across Latin America, and lots of gluten free options. They aren't safe for celiacs though. They use a shared fryer. If you are super sensitive or have celiac, just beware of that. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in the theme parks area near Orlando. You should not miss this restaurant. Try something new if you've never tasted Latin American cuisine, or try it if you've grown up with it. You won't go wrong and you'll likely be back.

Sofrito was amazing…read more We wanted something fast, but not fast food with a large seated area outside. This checked off all of our boxes. You order at a kiosk fast food style, but all of the food is then prepared freshly and authentically. They have a huge menu with all kinds of delicious Latin eats like sandwiches and platters. We absolutely loved our Cuban sammies which came on thick and sweet bread. My kids kept it simple with tenders and fries and also enjoyed! They have a big drink selection and you can find everything from juices to fresh cocktails. The biggest hit was their large indoor screened patio - perfect for my kids to run around. If you want to avoid fast food but also don't feel like taking your kids to a proper sit down restaurant than this is a really great option.

FABULOUS Went here…read morelast night with work colleagues for dinner. Can't say enough about the experience. The food was fantastic (our table shared both the Crab Guacomole and the Cha Cha Cha - both yummy; I had the Vaca Frita which was succulent which with the rice and beans were just divine). The drinks were great too, as our table shared passionfruit mojitos. Ambiance was perfect - our corner table was the perfect place for us to catch up and have our own space in this vivrant restaurant. Our server Jason was super cool and accomidating, making sure we were good without imposing, and was able to roll with our rowdy group. For those looking for good Cuban food in a nice space, look no further than Cuba Libre.

Lively atmosphere, tasty food and drinks, and attentive service!…read more My fiancé's family and I went to Cuba Libre while checking out the downtown area of Orlando. I was immediately drawn in by the music and the LED lights. We started off with a round of sangria, which is always a great way to kick off. We also got a basket of bread and mango butter, which was both unique and really good. The table shared a Plato Cha Cha Cha. I couldn't tell what was what, but I remember the croquetas being super delicious! Definitely worth it on a hungry stomach. I ordered the Ropa Vieja for my entree. It was very good (especially the plantains/maduros), but I was already very full and probably should have ordered something lighter in hindsight. The highlight of the night was definitely dessert. It was my aunt's birthday, and they greeted her with a huge bowl of ice cream and a show. I won't spoil it, but if you have a birthday, Cuba Libre will definitely make you feel celebrated. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Orlando who would like to try out Cuban food.
