This was my second time visiting Ta'Chingon and first since actively reviewing on Yelp. The Pizza Birria brought me back. It was just as good this time as the last! You might say it looks like a big quesadilla. And I'd say you have a point. But who cares what it's called. It's delicious! Definitely enough for two, maybe three if you're ordering appetizers or additional entrées. The nachos were good as well. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Nadia had a smile on her face from the time I walked through the door until I walked out. The food took a little longer to come out than desired. However that could have been just the "I'm really hungry" factor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were plenty of tables and booths with two dining areas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looks like they had a full bar.

A customer recommended this place and I'm so glad they did. The portions are really large and delicious. I got the shrimp quesadilla with refried beans which were served in cute little taco shell bowls. My friend got chicken fajitas and my other friend got a dish which I never did catch the name of. Our super sweet waitress was so friendly and took the time to explain each of the dishes we questioned. Then to top it all off they made up a birthday dessert for me. I love this place and will be back

This restaurant had been on my list to try and since I was around the area decided to stop by. There is plenty of inside seating with a bar area and the decor and colors are very warm and inviting. It gives the place a nice ambiance and a modern feel. We were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. Our server was friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions. She checked on us and the pace of our meal was perfect. We got chips and salsa to start (fresh and tasty) and a jalapeño lime margarita with their tequila infused wine. It was a bit sweet and different. As for our meal, we ordered the sopes which each of them came with chorizo, chicken and steak. We ordered tacos for our entrees and were able to mix and match from the ones they offered. We had chicken, shrimp, and fish and they came with a blend of pico, sour cream and cheese. Everything was fresh, made to order, flavourful and delish! We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Food was amazing and service was great. And the bonus, no wait! Margaritas were a little strong but they were excellent!

We popped into this restaurant while in the area. It's a well decorated, clean, and bright space with very friendly staff. Our waitress was sweet and attentive throughout our meal. There is a nice bar area set up if you're in the mood for cocktails which we did not partake in this time. We started with complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were tasty and the salsa had a great flavor and nice kick of spice. My bf ordered the steak quesadilla and I ordered the choripollo which was chicken topped with queso and chorizo. Both came with rice and refried beans. I also added a hard shelled steak taco on the side because tacos are wonderful and I love trying them everywhere. Meals came out pretty quickly after ordering. I tried the taco first. It was good with a generous amount of steak, but I felt the steak was a bit bland. I tasted my bf's steak quesadilla. We both loved that it had a great amount of cheese, but agreed that again, it was lacking in flavor. My choripollo was good. The queso on top was yummy and the chicken was prepared nicely and tender, but I felt it relied more on the queso and chorizo for its flavor. The chorizo had a nice kick. I loved the refried bean presentation in the mini taco bowls. They were a nice consistency. The rice was also pretty good. Portions are huge at a reasonable price. Overall, I loved the service here and the food was pretty good! I wouldn't say it's the best I've had in town, but a good option if in the area or just wanting to check it out. I'd give it a solid 3.5 if Yelp allowed half point ratings.

This Mexican restaurant is consistent in their food and service. I truly enjoy coming here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating, I've never had to wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My go to meal is the nachos. The are plenty of them and it's sharable. My companions on this trip enjoyed their food. We will all definitely return. Don't sleep on this Mexican restaurant. You're missing out if you don't try it at least once.

Everything about this was a great experience. The service, the atmosphere, and the food! It's very colorful and cute inside. There's a skeleton to greet you and all. We shared a birria pizza and it was so flavorful the consume was just a bonus. It was amazing and definitely big enough to share. Chips and salsa were good, but the chips were a touch salty to my liking. Our server was awesome. Very helpful and attentive. We'll definitely be back to try more...maybe. The pizza was so good!

This spot is truly underrated. They have a delicious menu with a variety of offerings, all tasty, fresh & authentic. I've been here a few times and have gotten a few menu items - but my #1 favorite on the menu, is THE BIRRIA PIZZA. This thing is HUGE. And sheesh is it good! It's honestly enough to share between 2-3 people. They serve it up with a traditional consomé, as well as their homemade salsas! Be sure to try this item - you won't regret it. The service is always friendly and you can tell they have a little pride in their restaurant.

Fresh salsa, flavorful dishes, and friendly staff make Ta'Chingon a winner! Note: margaritas are wine-based, not tequila-based. I do love authentic margaritas with tequila, so I did not order one.... But, food still delicious! Authentic Mexican flavors and a warm atmosphere - we'll be back!

5 stars for some good food, great service and cute space! You wouldn't think the restaurant would be so cute from the strip center it's in. But they did a great job on the space inside. You are greeted with free chips and salsa. Always a plus in my book! There's a pretty big menu with a lot of options. We wanted to try the birria pizza but didn't want to go so heavy. So we tried the shrimp ceviche and the El pastor quesadilla. I would say skip the ceviche, I always prefer the Peruvian style with lime juice but this one has balsamic on it. It has lots of cumbers, red onions and tomatoes too. We both really enjoyed the El pastor quesadilla. Nice and cheesy with hints of pineapple. They gave us a second round of chips too! I asked for a hot sauce and it was definitely a homemade spicy sauce. Nice space and good food. We'll be back to try that birra pizza soon. I was impressed with our first visit!

This place will be one of my go to neighborhood hot spots! It is awkwardly located in a strip mall behind a gas station and you will probably drive past it a few times before taking notice. But I'm so glad I did!! The staff were sweet and welcoming. The decor is pretty fun and light. Skulls are a theme and I can dig it. The food came out piping hot!!!! Yes just the way I like it. We started off with the complimentary chips and salsa and added the queso fundido with chorizo. It came out on a skillet and was very tasty. I expected it to be more loose like a queso dip but this was a nice alternative. It was served with tortillas which kinda of reminded me of Indian and Malaysian food where you break off flatbread with your dips. It was a little oily for me but my partner enjoyed it. Next up were the stars of the show. The mixta fajitas and the birria tacos! Oh my... these were soooooo good. Tasty, savory, juicy. Everything you want and then some. Had two rounds of tasty margaritas and I love that my passion fruit one was offered with sugar salt or tajin! Ended with churros. I was stuffed but I love me a good churro so I couldn't pass it up. It was also nice and hot but I will be honest and say that I've had better. Not sure if it was the dough but it lacked a bit of flavor.

I came to this restaurant cause of this guy telling me how good the food was and the t-shirt he bought there. I went and bought myself this veggie burrito. It was delicious but. I was a couple of bites away from finishing it & I found a hair in my food. I ended up throwing it away. I was so disappointed cause the food was delicious and it's a very cozy and very inviting restaurant. I give it 3 stars fir the atmosphere, the friendly staff.

It is not authentic Italian food, which is fine, but be aware. The table focaccia was dry. The bruschetta was not authentic. The bread was soggy and in our opinion had too much balsamic drizzle. He also got the burrata which was served fried on the outside and came with ground beef in a sauce. The cheese pull was impressive, but again, that is not your authentic burrata. His pasta? He said it felt like the sauce could have been out of a jar. No animal protein either. The tiramisu was not enjoyable. Tiramisu doesn't have chunks of chocolate on top. And they serve it in a terracotta looking plant pot. It made the table question how they must clean them since those are so porous or if they just toss them after single use? They did bring out "tiramisu ice cream" in a martini glass with a candle for our friend since it was her birthday which was a nice gesture. She said it tasted like they called it tiramisu but it was normal Java chip. Yes, we went during magical dining. But the plates and meals were coming out so fast that it was odd. Makes it feel like less of an experience. The waiter, who was also the manager, was not smiling or warm. He was matter of fact and not what would hope for in a server experience. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away by the weekly cookie selection. There was a display showcasing every cookie available, complete with the ingredients listed for each one. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The employee took the time to explain every cookie one by one and even shared his personal favorites, which made choosing a lot easier. We happened to visit during happy hour, which was an added bonus. I received a free small carton of milk to pair with my cookies, and honestly, there couldn't have been a better combination. The cookies themselves were fantastic. They were soft, fresh, and packed with flavor. The cookies with fillings were perfectly gooey in the center, exactly what you want from an indulgent dessert cookie. My favorite by far was "The Right Stuff," which featured a delicious cookies and cream filling that was absolutely incredible. One thing that added to the fun was the creative cookie names. They all had unique and funny names that made the experience feel a little more memorable and playful. The only cookie that wasn't quite for me was the Phunky Monkey Remix. The banana flavored dough paired with Reese's peanut butter and Oreo pieces just didn't quite work for my taste buds. That said, flavor preferences are personal, and it certainly didn't take away from the overall experience. Before you leave, make sure to ask for their rewards card.
