Years ago i used to visit juanitos almost everyday after school. The main dish i would get was the wet chicken burrito. Since I have moved out of state and came back I hadn't had it in a while. So hubby and I decided to go (this was a couple months back) and once again I ordered the wet chicken burrito and hubby ordered the chips and salsa and a couple of carne asada tacos. it was delicious! The service was great! Now last week we went again and the service was TERRIBLE! The salsa was watery and wasn't anywhere near the salsa we had from them before! This time I ordered the enchilada plate which was very bland and seemed as if it were warmed in the microwave along with the styrofoam tray they served it to me in. (we ordered it to go). My hubby asked for the supreme nachos and asked the waitress if it was possible to put the chips to the side so he could dip them in the mixture because he doesnt like his chips soggy, she looked at him with this disgusted face as if he were retarded and said there was no possible way for the cook to prepare the nachos that way. if i remember correctly this place is supposed to be a prepared as ordered type of restaurant so how could it not be possible to prepare the meal that way? We arrived home and sure enough the nachos were very soggy, and the same as my enchildas, looked as if they had been prepared in the microwave along with the styrofoam plate it was served in. The next day we went to the local mexican fast food joint "Mi Ranchito" which had NO PROBLEM with putting the chips to the side, and my enchiladas were GREAT! I am very disappointed with Juanito's and sadly they have lost a faithful customer. I'd rather go to the local fast food mexican place verses Juanitos.. This has been my go to place in the AV for some chilaquiles and menudo! Never fails to amaze me. Service has always been good as well. Problem I've had is trying different things than what I normally get, they really don't know how to cook shrimp! And spicy is not there forte either. I recommend they learn a few things. Terrible. I asked for a torta and 4 taquitos. Then asked if I can get two chicken two beef and they didn't want to do so they said they're packaged.. What are you getting them from costco.. Then my torta they didn't have the meat I wanted so I'm forced to eat asada.. All bad.. Disappointed..... The one word I would use to describe my experience here. I was really craving some tacos and decided to try a new place. This one had pretty good reviews and it was close to home so I decided to give them a try. We ordered the nachos supreme with carne asada, tacos de asada and al pastor. A sope de asada and a burrito ranchero. All of which cost about $30 bucks not bad I thought. We took it home to eat and first started with the nachos. I was already upset that they weren't made with nacho cheese it's just melted cheese, which alright whatever they could still be good. But the tortilla chips tasted like they had been fried with old dirty oil. The carne asada on them was a little gray and very fatty. So I went on to try the tacos I took one bite of the asada and one bite of the pastor. Again the tortilla had an old oily taste. I had my boyfriend try them and he thought the same thing. He had the burrito and did not like it either. Said it had no flavor. The sope also had that same taste that the tortilla chips had. And since I'm just going off on this place..... what kinda Mexican restaurant doesn't give you lime with your tacos??? The one thing I did finish from here was the horchata. Guess you can't mess it up when it's already pre made. Customer service wasn't the best or the worse but does need improvement. read more

Wonderful place to take a break and get some food! I really like Juanitos. We have some rental properties in the area and when we don't want fast food, we take a break and come to Juanitos. The place is in fair condition in a rougher part of town. Their parking lot can get full at times, because of the other shops. I love Mexican food and Juanitos is good. Their wet burrito is huge and has a good flavor. Their tacos are good (fish taco is so-so). Their nachos are okay. My sister is a vegetarian and they make a no-meat burrito for her. All of us like eating here and it definitely fills our stomach. The staff here is friendly too. The service is diner style - nothing fancy, but good solid service. We usually see a good size crowd here, but we've never had to wait for a table. Overall, if you're looking for a place to have a sit down Mexican meal, I recommend Juanito's. read more

This place has such delicious food and so many different things to choose from. The only downfall would be the cleanliness of the dining room and small size. Due to the foods quality and authenticity you can bipass that the calls are yucky and that the menus are sticky. If it were cleaner, 5 stars for sure. read more

I love the asada burritos from here! Which is why I gave it 3 stars and not 1. When I ordered my burrito last night in the restaurant to go I received it in a matter of 3/4 minutes I should have known that it came out too fast. I got home (I live about 5 mins down the street) and my burrito was COLD! Like it had been sitting there for a while! Very disappointed and to top it off it seems like every time the owner is there the salsa is pre packaged in the cups and when u ask for some he gives u 1 at a time so I had to ask for more about 2 times. There are a lot of good Mexican places in the AV. This is one of my favorite. It offers simple dishes for a cheap price. Everything is flavored and spiced EXACTLY as it should be.
