Well I was fooled. Went here yesterday and sat down only to realize the inside looked different. Well Minervini's has closed and this is this new pizza restaurant in that location (8 months). I did not leave but ordered a pizza. The pizza was good, had a great taste, 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese, and the crust had the right amount of crunch. I went to the beverage case to get a Foxon Park soda but no diet/sugar free. I needed something caffeine free and sugar free. I decided on a glass of ice water (tap) from the girl. She already had the glass filled with ice for the bottle of soda. She asked the owner and he said no to the tap water. He said I had to buy a bottle water from the case. NOPE!!! I would have walked but he had already started my pizza order. See it's the little things like that (poor customer service) which will turn me off. I will NOT be going back which is too bad because the pizza was decent. The inside of the restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. Hope they stay in business.

We stopped into Juanito's during the Wallingford food crawl, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think much of this place being that it's kind of consumed in the middle of traffic and train tracks but when my first impression is wrong then I have no problem admitting so. They were serving some of their pizza, chicken, franchese, and pasta and every single thing was amazing. That pizza was so so good. I'd drive all the way down to Wallingford to try it every day. It definitely reminds me of Jersey pizza but even better. And we all know CT has an amazing pizza game but in recent memory, I would put Juanitos on the map. Cannot wait to try them again and continue exploring their menu. Follow on IG: https://www.instagram.com/

I was looking for some slices in Wallingford and found this place online and decided to give it a try. It was a clean place inside with several large tables. I got a pepperoni and a cheese pizza and must say, for being slices, they were pretty good. They got the job done. They were thin and crunchy and overall a solid choice if you are in the area. I would recommend.

Juanito makes the best pizza dough around. I've tried several menu items and have never been disappointed. And Juanito is a genuine nice guy

My experience overall was very average. The pizza could be a lot better and it can use more sauce and cheese pizza is very salty and greasy.

If you like New Haven style pizza, which is arguably the 'esemplare' of all pizza, then visiting The Little Rendezvous is a MUST visit if you live within 90-min. Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Bucket-list item checked off! Overall score = 5.0!!!

We arrived early on, what I thought was off hours and ordered in person, the wait time was 4 hours. I don't live far so it was easy to come back. The dining area is tight and pretty basic, so plan on wooden bench in limited space if you are dining in. I would also recommend calling way in advance with your order. As far as pizza goes, I have had the opportunity to sample most of the high profile places and understand why this place deserves to be on the list. The crust is pretty fantastic and overall a really good pie. When we went, there was no line. The grab and go was super simple, cash only. Order ahead, plan accordingly, and enjoy.

I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.
