I really like the food here. Service is always great and the ambiance is cozy in the bar and decent in the restaurant. Parking is pretty good if you go behind the restaurant. The specialty pizzas are special and the traditional foods, mostly italian inspired, are good family preparation. Pricing is reasonable. A quick and easy method ordering online from their easy to read menu. An easy check out and a printed receipt telling me that our food would be delivered in forty five minutes. Less than that time our very nice delivery person delivered our food steaming hot. I ordered the Sicilian pizza although my husband wanted a plain large round Pepperoni pizza, however, no complaints, it was piping hot and scrumptious. The two steak and cheese grinders were also hot and boy were they delicious.The Cobb salad was added to our order for lunch tomorrow, but I took a few bites just to see how good it was and boy it was good. Horrible customer service, my elderly mother accidentally ordered food and when I called to ask for it to be cancelled they were rude and wouldn't assist. they charged her for the order even though it wasn't finished. my mother lives 35 minutes away and couldn't drive there to pick it up. Great pizza, generous toppings , stealthy service, and a hearty work ethic! We had a recent winter storm and was mild in comparison to even a storm we had this year, already, and the amount of closures of business was nothing short of stunning. I have never seen a world of such weak business owners and lazy workers such as the community here in Connecticut. This was practically one of the only restaurants - or fast food joints - that opened. I talked to plowmen who were absolutely flabbergasted at the weakness of local business. Nevertheless, I will tell all you other restaurants in the area, especially pizza places, that my go to place now is Paradise Pizza, just for their work ethic alone, not to mention good food. Ordered some delivery pizza for our awesome friends who helped us move this weekend. Pizza came within the time frame they said (30-45) and the delivery guy was friendly. We got 4 pizzas which was exactly the right amount. Prices were pretty normal (total was $50ish?) Pizza was very good. Good texture and crust - not too thin or thick. I had a few slices of regular cheese pizza the day we had it delivered and enjoyed it. The next day I reheated some veggie slices and they were delicious! They included some breaded slices of...eggplant? Breaded something that was soooo good. We had asked for no broccoli (good call, my friends )but I think they also don't put olives on their veggie pizza which is super too. Good veggies! Congratulations. I've decided to increase your star ratings because the customer service is always great and you've added additional salad selections. The pizzas, wings, wraps, salads, soups, calzones, desserts, pastas are all good. I order a lot of salads. The California salad, a new addition is soooooo good with grilled chicken. A small salad fills me up and they stuff the container. They make the best grilled chicken for salads. Very tasty. If you're in to bread, try the garlic knots. Bet you can "knot" eat just one. Although they're in Wallingford, they deliver to North Haven. The delivery time is the typical 35-40 min and the delivery guys are the best delivery drivers around. Went back to Paradise the other day for Mother's day. Pizza was as good as always. Bbq pizza was pretty standard but the crust was awesome. Perfectly cooked. Meat pizza was really good. Great service - very polite! Prompt delivery within the given time frame. I ordered delivery and got the bone in buffalo wings and the seafood pizza. The flavor of the wings was great, but they weren't very crispy at all - rather soft. The pizza was yummy - could have used a bit more garlic but that's personal preference I'm sure - however it arrived barely warm. All in all, I'd order from here again & recommend - but next time I'd request my wings extra crispy during the ordering process. The pizza I just heated in the oven for a few and it was fine. This place is a gem among a sea of other pizza places. We regularly order their burgers, which are massive and delicious. Their fries have a very unique crispy batter and their other fried foods are great. I'm also a huge fan of their chicken caesar salad, I don't know what makes it so good but the chicken is marinated and the lettuce is always really fresh and crisp. I'm a harsh critic but this place is a staple in my diet and the delivery guys are fantastic and funny. I was on a business trip and stayed at a local hotel.... I used Grubhub to order from here... I ordered a small pizza with extra cheese and onions, a caprese salad, 2 cans of Dr Pepper and 1 bottle of Powerade( I needed some more beverages for the room), I also asked for a bunch of paper plates, utensils and napkins for the hotel room.... The delivery came in about 30 minutes, everything arrived, minus one can of Dr Pepper, which wasn't the biggest deal in the world(although I do have an unhealthy obsession with DrP!). I called the restaurant just to let them know they missed it, wasn't really wanting a refund or for them to come all the way back for a can of soda...the person on the phone apologized and I started to eat....(btw, about 15-20 minutes later a very nice delivery boy knocked on my hotel room door and gave me my coveted can of DP!!! He came all the way back for 1 can of soda!!! Thank you!). They give me plenty of paper plates, utensils and napkins... The Pizza was great! Being a chef and from Jersey/Philly/New York area, I know good pizza too. The Crust was thin, crispy and tasty; the sauce was zesty and tasty and the cheese and toppings were plentiful cooked well. The salad was huge! Lots of tomatoes and fresh Mozzarella, and the greens(romaine and basil) were fresh and crisp and they gave me plenty of dressing...it also came with a few garlic knots...although it was bountiful, it was a little "plain"... just romaine, mozz, tomatoes and basil... if you are listening Mr. Owner one chef to another...maybe mix in some spring mix lettuce with the romaine and atleast one other ingredient(red onions? OK, ok, ok. after all of your glowing reviews, and after getting many crappy pizza's delivered to my house, I tried paradise pizza. I said I would and I did. Gonna start with the negative first. y'all told me this was new York style pizza, it WAS NOT. The menu said "jumbo" buffalo wings, they WERE NOT. Your reviews may have had me expecting a bit too much, That being said, here are the positives. It was an ok pizza the guy on the phone was great, gave me a large pizza deal with wings instead of a small with wings for the same price. delivery guy was wicked cool. Wings were not jumbo NOR amazing, but were good and although just slightly over cooked, I prefer that to undercooked...LOL you are gonna have to trust me on that one. Food was quick, food was ok, delivery guy cool. Bottom line, I will add this to my rotation of delivery places. Looking forward to trying again with different types of food. If I wasn't used to amazing New York style pizza, they could have gotten 4 stars. Given that all the other delivery places now suck in Wallingford/Meriden area, I am looking forward to trying other stuff from them. I am gonna be honest and maybe break a rule or 2 here, I hope I don't hurt any feelings. The pizza from minervini's on quinipiac street is Wallingford was better as far as the New York pizza goes, but I didn't like their wings and their garlic bread was terrible. so I will get my pizza from minervini's but can't wait to try other options from paradise!!! Quick delivery, great service, got the orders right... and the pizza got raves from everyone. We tried lasagna, stuffed shells, manicotti, calzones, garlic knots... delish! The potato skins? Perfect.
