Owner greets you and keeps a close eye on everything - beverages that need to be topped off, customers getting the right & complete orders, etc. Mecario, the owner, was here a few years back at the same location. His food is fantastic. Seasoning is perfect. I usually have leftovers to take home. Has pineapple and mango fresh juice for the kids & grown ups. We stopped here on our Texas road trip. It's a quaint mom and pop restaurant visited by the local community. The food was good and the server was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the Chicken Fajita Salad. The chicken was wonderfully seasoned and the salad ingredients were fresh. My husband ordered the chicken tacos and while they were pretty basic the chicken was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area looking for a quick, delicious, no frills lunch. read more

Probably one of the best, home style Mexican meals I've had in forever! The chips are light as air, salsa was tangy but not too hot. I had relleno stuffed with chicken with beans, rice and wonderful guacamole. Spouse had quesadillas that also were well filled with chicken on super soft tortillas. Can't wait to return! read more

Very good food and the food is hot on your plate, unlike some Mexican restaurants that the plate is very hot and the food is cold. The staff are very friendly and service is good. Grilled chicken, iceberg lettuce, grated cheese, fresh sliced tomatoes served in a flour tortilla bowl, with guacamole and sour cream on the side. The owner of this establishment is a hustler (I mean that in a positive way) and he is always there working and making sure things are going smooth. The guys in the kitchen do a nice job. Not bad for a whole in the wall restaurant while traveling through Burnet. It's your traditional good 'ole Tex Mex. The service was quite slow for us when we were there. We didn't get drink refills and waited for somebody to come by so we could get a to-go box, never did. We had to get up at the cash register and catch somebody going by to get a box and then had to wait about another 5 minutes standing there just to pay for our food. We seriously could have just walked out without paying and I don't think anybody would have even noticed. A big party had come in and they were getting busy, but there was just the one guy, the owner I believe, who was doing everything. You need to hire some help bro! read more

We tried this place out for the first time last night. They seated us right away and brought our iced tea, chips and salsa right away, but kind of went down hill from there. The place seemed busy, but we noticed food was taking a long time to be served. We ordered finally and ordered an appetizer. Finally after flagging someone down received more tea and finally a refill on chips, but not salsa. They finally brought out one of our meals, reminded them about the appetizer. After waiting anther 15 minutes or so, they brought out the other two meals for our group... Still no appetizer, another reminder. We saw two different couples get up and leave, never got waited on after they were seated. I had the beef enchilada and a taco, was supposed to come with rice and beans, that never showed up. The taco fell apart because it was saturated in grease and looked like it had been sitting there awhile. The enchilada was oozing grease. The other two people in our party's food was lacking also. This place has been opened about a month and was previously located in Burnet. They are really gonna have to pick it up a notch to stay in business. Their sign out front says "everyday fresh", but I'm not so sure about that. We might try it again in a few months just to see if there has been in an improvement. read more
