Great experience with Wyndell and the JT Auto team! My wife and I have been a one vehicle family for five years while living in Pittsburgh. When we moved to Tucson we purchased a second vehicle (2008 Ford Focus) that was just meant to get us around town. It's an older vehicle but with low miles. Unfortunately, it overheated this past weekend and, like anyone would, we began to contemplate whether or not doing the work would be worth it. We had the luxury of using public transportation (in Pgh) and owning a relatively new car (2014 Hyundai Santa Fe with low miles). Something like this hasn't happened to us in quite a long time... Wyndell provided great service! They were able to assess the car quickly and provide a quote for the work. A new water outlet thermostat and thermostat housing unit was going to run us over $800 with tax. We decided to do the work and move forward with this car. The hope is that we'll be able to get a few more years out of it before having to make a change! Finally, I appreciated the fact that Wyndell showed me the bad parts, explained what had likely happened and the work that they did to the car. Ok,,so a week has gone by and another light has come on. My grand daughter brought it back and thankful just a bulb.. but like I said previously they took care of her immediately. Not a bad basic auto shop. If you have a newer/nicer car (something with a turbo charger or a boxer engine), don't take it here. They won't service CVTs, but that's the case with a lot of auto shops. Service is really good, includes photos texted to you showing you any issues with your vehicles, then the owner calls and asks if you want to act on any of those, and quickly gives you a quote. My only quip is the owner tries really hard to sell you tires, which is whatever I guess, but he only ever has Coopers and Toyos in stock, don't expect to get Michelin/Goodyear/Continental from him. If your someone with an older vehicle without a CVT, this is probably one of the best shops you can go to for routine maintenance. read more

Again my car broke down they worked me in knowing I use the truck for work. They had it done with several extra things I needed done since they had it all apart and still finished earlier then promised with such a fair price. I have been taken advantage of by garages so often. Not here they are no nonsense. They run a business to keep repeat customers. This auto body shop saved my butt. I've been been on a transcontinental road trip to move for my new job. My car all of a sudden had the dreaded check engine light that had turned on and the body shop especially the mechanic Brandon was patient and has the customers best interest in mind. This full service auto shop does their very best to get you in ASAP, offers a variety of different services (oil changes, brakes, tires, computer diagnostic codes), and even replaced my antenna for way less than the dealer would've charged me! Check in, wait time, and check out are always prompt and efficient. The staff are super friendly, the lobby is warm and inviting, the mini fridge is always stocked with bottled water, and the restroom is always clean! They also offer military discount! Reasonable price for oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, signifiant up billing for repair detected during the oil change is quite big. I was told about an oil leak requiring change of gasket cover and posterior axile brake+rotor change. The quote was 1200 dollar+tax. Of course, you would shop around. A mark up of 20% is what I usually get in Tucson market from prior experience. This one is about 100% up. Discussion with multiple local mechanical shop results in breakdown of the following. 4 hour of labor and about 300 dollar material cost. Most place quoted around 500-800 dollar. I was referred to JT Auto by a friend who said they were great people and the service was excellent, and he wasn't kidding. I needed to have new rotors and pads put on my Lexus RX350 along with an aftermarket tow hitch, and because I bought them myself (the brakes were even from the dealer) nobody would put them on, but JT did, and at a very fair price. In today's world places like JT Auto are extremely hard to find, but walking in the door reminded me of going into my uncle's repair shop in northern Colorado decades ago where the people were friendly and totally honest, and it was obvious to me from the moment I walked in I was in the right place.. and my sense of the place proved to be spot on. I can't speak highly enough for JT and his crew... they were all really friendly, good and honest people, and they really know what they're doing, so thanks guys. We were visiting the area when we must have hit and damaged the underside of our car. Being from out of town and not knowing a good mechanic, I reached out to a few places on Sunday night. JT Auto was the only one who got back to me and said we could bring in our vehicle the next morning. They knew we were trying to drive back home that day, promptly assessed the damage, and did a quick fix so we could safely drive back. They didn't even charge us anything! THANK YOU so much! I moved to Tucson from Chicago with a 20 year old used car. Many shops have refused to work on my car here, because of the presence of rust. That's what rain and snow does to any car in the Midwest. I received a referral to try JT Auto from an employee at Auto Zone. I gave it a try and I think I just found my guys! I can't say anything more than "satisfied" in regard to the repairs and service I received. I need two front axles, all the belts, air filter and two tires. JT Auto - I drove out to Tucson from San Diego before the 4th of July week and my AC died 2 hours out from Tucson (yes in 108 degree weather). When I got in to Tucson I immediately began calling repair shops and received quotes from $1,500 to $2,000 as it sounded like I would need a whole new AC compressor system. My sister recommended JT Auto. The owner, Wyndell was my nephew's Freshman basketball coach. We contacted him Saturday late in the evening and he worked all weekend trying to ensure he would be able to get appropriate parts for my car without even seeing it, since multiple shops gave the same diagnosis. I brought my car to JT Auto on a Tuesday morning. As we expected, I needed a new AC compressor system. My car was ready Wednesday morning and I was happy be to driving with cool AC temperature. Wyndell communicated throughout the whole process and explained to me in detail what was going on with my car (the clutch had melted.) JT Autos prices definitely beat all the other quotes I received as was the friendliest person that I worked with. I am very pleased with the repairs made to my car! I had priced the brake repairs I needed previously, in my old neighborhood, but put it off since I was barely using my car during Covid. But when I went in for an oil change, I was offered a good package price for tires I also needed, and the brakes, so I took the chance with a new (to me) company and I couldn't be happier. Recently purchased an older model car that I needed to smog in order to register. The car failed the test so I started researching and reaching out to mechanics for an estimate. Sent a message to JT Auto around 930pm within 10-15 min got a response and an appointment to bring it in first thing in the morning. Took the car in and waited while they checked it, they were able to diagnose it and show me what needed to be replaced in minutes, the best part was they were able to order the part and finish the repair in less than an hour and charged me much less then what other shops had quoted me. My car was having rotational tire squeaks ever since I changed my break pads a year ago. My mechanic back in California was not able to fix this issue and told me it was normal. Everytime I drove my car around for the past year, I was in constant anxiety as I felt like my car would break down any minute. Since moving to Tucson, Arizona, I began my search for a mechanic to see if I would have any luck here. Upon searching on Yelp and reading such great reviews about JT auto, I thought I would bring it in to see if my car issue could be fixed. I called at 2pm and was able to be seen at 2:30 pm. Once I arrived and informed them about my issues, they promptly took my keys and went to work. Within an hour, they came back and told me the issue was fixed! They also informed me that the issue was because previous mechanic that changed my brake pads did not reset my e-brake which was causing the sound that I was hearing! A sway bar link on my car needed a replacement. I had bought the part thinking my boyfriend could fix it, no problem, but we don't have an impact gun and he was having difficulty getting the bolts off. I reached out to JT Auto on Yelp to get a quote, and the owner responded within 5 minutes, on a Sunday when they're closed! I had explained the issue and asked for an estimate to which he responded they wouldn't charge. I had a hard time believing it and thought it was too good to be true.
