Don't let the negative reviews here fool you! I've used JSP for both a rental property and my personal home, and they are hands-down the most reliable team in the area. Last July, the AC unit died at a rental house. I called every company I could find, and JSP was the only one that was responsive and they showed up the next day to install a new system when no one else would even return a call. And they came through for me again this winter when I needed an emergency furnace installation at my personal house. On August 4, 2025 I received phone call From JSP Home Services saying I had been nominated and selected to receive a free heating and cooling system from the "Lennox Feel The Love" program. They explained The Feel The Love program aims to help people who deserve a "thank you" for their commitment and service within their community, and that I had been selected as an award recipient and would be receiving a new heating system at no cost. I was told they would be calling me again to set up an appointment to survey my home to install a system at no charge to me. August 7, 2025 JSP called me to make appointment to do the survey for the heating system installation. The appointment was scheduled for August 19, 2025. August 14, 2025 JSP called me to confirm my appointment to do survey for heating installation. August 19, 2025 Chuck Lancaster from JSP arrived at my house and completed survey. He said the installations for this award were usually done the first two weeks of October, and that someone would get in touch with me to schedule the installation. September 18, 2025 Robin from JSP sent me a text message saying JSP enjoyed working with me and are curious if there are any other projects I have coming up. I messaged back asking about my "Feel The Love" installation. Robin replied they would get back to me with information. I did not hear back. September 22, 2025 I text messaged Robin from JSP asking for a follow up; no reply. September 25, 2025 I left a voice message for Robin from JSP. September 29, 2025 Robin from JSP messaged me saying I was a valuable customer and asked me for referrals for work. I messaged back asking about my Feel The Love installation. Robin replied and asked how they could help me. I asked again about the Feel The Love installation. I received no reply text. I then called and spoke with Robin, who said they would check into this and get back to me. I never heard back. October 3, 2025 I called and spoke with Lennox Customer Care, I asked if the calls I had gotten from JSP were legitimate, and for any update about the installation that had been promised by JSP on their behalf. They stated they had no information at that time, but would open a case and get back to me. October 9, 2025 I called JSP. The person who answered the phone took my info and said someone would call me back before the end of the day. No call received. October 10, 2025 I spoke with Lennox Customer Care again. They stated my case had been sent to a manager, and the manager sent it to marketing for a follow up as they were the department who handled the Feel The Love program. October 10, 2025 I called JSP and spoke with Ashley. She said she had no information and that I needed to speak with the office manager, Lisa, who was out of the office until Monday October 13. Ashley said she could not give me Lisa's phone number but would forward a request for her to call me. Ashley also stated she would email me a copy of the estimate that Chuck had visited my house to do the survey for. I never received the email. I never received any call back from Lisa. October 22, 2025 I called 845-303-2518, spoke with (Karen or Taryn) and asked to speak with Lisa. I was told she was not available at that time and that a message would be given to Lisa to return my call. October 23, 2025 I sent an email to Lennox marketing department outlining all of the above and asking for any update. October 24, 2025 I received the following email message from Lennox: Thank you so much for reaching out. I understand one of our dealers had initial contact with you, and I can imagine it's confusing not to have clarity on next steps. Our dealer chose to move forward with another nomination. While that decision is never easy, please know it's not a reflection of your worth or the impact of your story. Every year, we receive an overwhelming number of heartfelt submissions and narrowing them down is one of the most difficult parts of the process. While this year's program has wrapped, we're incredibly grateful that you took the time to share your experience. Feedback like yours helps us reflect and continue improving our program. My issue with JSP is that during our initial phone conversation and again in person, they clearly stated that I had been awarded this heating system. However, after that, there was no further communication to let me know they had changed their decision. I never received any explanation, which would have been acceptable if they had at least reached out to inform me or responded to my calls and messages. Our central air conditioning went down a couple days before we had a family reunion in the dead of summer. You may not know all my relatives, but air conditioning is very important to them, and there was going to be some old ladies complaining for decades to come if we didn't get it fixed. JSP was the only company we could get to come out the same day. It helps that they're a larger outfit, with plenty of trucks and guys on staff. RJ & Jason were outstanding. Knowledgable, honest, great guys. They replaced a part and got our ancient HVAC system up and running again. It was pretty expensive (even though they don't charge for a service call) to replace a small part, but well worth it. Speaking of our ancient HVAC system, they recommended we replace it sooner rather than later (A/C coils, heat pump, furnace, the works). As I said, I appreciated Jason's knowledge and honesty, but the quote they gave us was quite high (solid 50% increase over the next one we got). We simply can't afford to pay that premium, but I do appreciate their service and professionalism. Overall, JSP is a larger home services business in the area that has a lot of upside. They handle everything (plumbing, electric, HVAC, etc.), and they can come out whenever you call, as opposed to a lot of the one or two man shows up here that are all backed up and couldn't come until next week. read more

Sink blocked up from too much Christmas. We could not clear it. JSP came immediately on Jan 5, morning. Called before to say time of arrival. Expert skilled knowledgeable technician. His hands knew where the blockage was. He snaked the sink in under an hour. Cleaned up. Friendly. We had a pleasant talk. The price was high and I hope he shares in the price. Technicians came to service my boiler and turned it off because it was leaking gasses. Responsible thing to do. But, they said my credit didn't qualify me to fix the problem. So they apologized and left me with no heat, the day before a snowstorm, and no way to get my heat fixed. This company will help you if you can pay up front in full. God help you if something breaks that's too expensive. They don't help poor people at all. I guess we don't deserve heat. read more

We had them originally about 4 years ago but after the cancelations an putting us off for perhaps higher paying customers we were extremely frustrated and had to find someone else. read more

Love these guys! Polite, reliable, on time and professional. Installed an entire new boiler and HW heater on a couple days' notice, and it looks like a German factory in my basement -- grids of perfectly aligned copper pipes. Works beautifully. Gave me excellent advice about brands, capacity needed and so on. When a pipe to my kitchen sink froze, one of their techs walked me via FaceTime through how to trace the line, where it had probably frozen, and how to thaw it. This after hours, mind you. And they charged me nothing! They feel more like expert friends than a business and I couldn't recommend them more highly. They're based in Kingston but do lots of work in this area. I live in Albany 1.5 hours from this property. I made an appointment a week in advance for an estimate to get a new meter service install. The appointment was for 10 am since I had to drive. Had 2 confirmation calls. Had a confirmation text the night before. I drove down. No tech. Called them up. Yes confirmed on schedule some one will be dispatched shortly as they finish another job. Then Get a text from dispatcher someone will be there some time today... Then I get a call from dispatcher oops sorry we over booked an all day job on top of you. Can't make it till tomorrow... For a 10 minute stop to get an estimate... Stay away from these guys. They don't keep their commitments. They don't respect you or your time. read more

BEWARE dishonest company ------------------------------------------ My mother called JSP Home Services to install her kitchen faucet a few days ago the tech ( Sam Williams ) gave her a price of $ 1150.00 just to install her new faucet, just to install no parts supplied from JSP.( my mom is 89 years old ) My brother installed the faucet in 1 1/2 hours after hearing about the price JSP gave her. I called JSP on June 25 to ask if the quoted price was correct I spoke to Rob he said the price is correct. $ 1150.00 to install the faucet. DO NOT USE! THESE PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY EVIL! I went to JSP to get an electric heat solution to fully utilize my solar panels. They advised me it would be too much power draw but told me I had a natural gas line in my property I could tap into and convinced me to buy. I asked for a day to think it over and the salesman told me he wouldn't be able to honor the price if I waited so I signed naively. They installed propane tanks temporarily and told me that I'd be hooked up to natural gas within a month. Central Hudson came out and told me the natural gas line is not for residential as it's too pressurized and I couldn't use it. So now I'm stuck with propane. They also did the messiest job I have ever seen with both the plumbing and the electrical with unnecessary connections running back and forth throughout the basement. After months of arguing with them (and them actually ignoring me for weeks at a time) trying to get them to come out and fix it, I finally asked them to walk away and they agreed to for half the cost. I shouldn't have taken this offer but I was so defeated I did. Then a couple of months later, the entire brand new boiler FELL OFF THE WALL!! I called their emergency number and they told me no one could come out until the next day. This was winter, and my house was freezing! I took off work the next day and no one came. I called and called. Rolf (sales manager) told me he was out of the office but the receptionist told me he was in so he lied to me. I eventually got someone to come out that night and the tech that came out said I was "lucky" I had a flexible propane line or "it would've snapped and filled the whole house with propane"!!! They didn't fix it, but they propped it up and shut off all of the lines. I finally got them to come out the next day and they finally fixed the piping and electrical issues and replaced the boiler. 6 months after the original install. Then they forgot the carbon monoxide detector and they left one of my propane tanks off so I thought I had propane but the heat shut off and my pipes froze in my kitchen over night!!!! I just love sharing my experience. They have their sales team operating on a script and they primarily want you to pull the trigger on the spot if you're gonna use them or not. I'm sure they know that once customers get second and third quote that their number is the highest number in all of the marketplace. they should be sued and reported. They gave me a quote for plumbing and electrical at my house and it was beyond $50,000. like it wasn't even in that ballpark that's how high it was. I asked for them to email me the quote and they wouldn't because they didn't want me to have a physical hardcopy. They gave me a range between 50 and 80,000 which of course scared me. I had a local plumber and a local electrician do all the work I needed for around $20,000. Ever since I never accept the first and second quotes. I learned from this company that there are too many bad actors in the marketplace and they've been really comfortable doing business as usual. Sorry, not today. Not ever. Not at my house or anyone I know will use this company. read more

After spending $30k for a whole system last year, JSP seemed to stop caring once the payment cleared. It's to the point they fabricated a story to cancel our cleaning contract, likely as they weren't making enough from it. Pros: quick consult and install, likely so they can get paid fast Cons: 1. Overpriced - other companies quoted us 10 to 15% less but couldn't install as fast 2. Within the first year, we've encountered leaks and multiple issues with remotes. Products are off brand names that don't seem to be high quality 3. One-size-fits-all cleaning contact, until they realize you cost too much and lie to cancel it 4. Informed us today techs record everything when on a service call. Audio? Video? Where is it stored? No idea. Really, find another company. JSP installed 9 ductless HVACs with 4 outdoor ???condensers last year. $30,000. You'd expect to be told how to clean the units, but no. Nothing was told to us, and we only found out a year later they offer cleaning contracts. When a tech came to fix an issue with the remotes JSP gave us (which wasn't fixed), he was aghast we hadn't cleaned it yet and told us of the cleaning contract. For $25/month, you got one cleaning a year for units that did only cooling or heating, and two cleanings if they did both. That would cover every unit and compressor, no matter how many. If you have a lot? Win for you. Just one? Win for JSP. We signed up, but were told we couldn't get a copy of our contract. For such a cheap price we let that go. We also let go not being shown any information about the contract or the price, because again, it was cheap enough. So we scheduled the cleaning for earlier this week and were told he'd be here at 9am. He arrived at 1:30pm and immediately said WE had to call to reschedule as this was a "morning job." Apparently it takes an hour per unit to clean, so the scheduler seems to be unable to remember how to check the job size. The tech did say it was the scheduler's fault multiple times but kept trying to refund our contract, until his manager said to clean as many as possible which should take an hour a piece. He did 4 units within 15 minutes and told us it'd be $500 per unit to "deep clean," even though this is what the manager told us the contract covered. It was clear the tech didn't want to do it, and did a horrible job just to leave on time. Then this morning we get a call. According to JSP, they just listened to the recording of the tech in our home earlier this week and said we threatened to smash his face in when he was cleaning the first unit. We immediately pointed out A, we didn't agree to be recorded in our home. (This isn't a public location after all.) And B, that we have indoor Ring cameras that can show the truth: one of us was frustrated by the home phone ringing constantly and said "if that rings again, I'm going to smash it so no one else can call." The tech was not in the same room, and he didn't seem concerned. Upon hearing we have indoor cameras, JSP's representative snapped we were blacklisted and hung up. To me, it seems strange that a tech would feel so threatened but remained in the home and had the company reschedule us. Then it took 3 days to "review" the footage. That really just sounds like a lie to me to prevent a loss of money, or a company that doesn't give a damn about their employees' safety. To sum it up, we can find another cleaning company easily. But we are still under warranty, and like hell that will be voided without proving to a judge beyond a reasonable doubt we said that. So if you want to toss thousands at them, go ahead, but I highly recommend you record everything. After all, you recording in your home or in public is perfectly legal in NY, without even informing the other party: we only require consent (and knowledge) from one person. In the fall of 2024 I inquired about a replacement for my heating and cooling systems in my house. I interviewed several plumbing companies, and one of them was JSP Hone Services, operating out of Kingston ,NY . Although many of my friends pointed out to me , that JSP has an atrocious reputation, I made a terrible mistake by allowing their sales representatives to convince me that JSP would complete the job of installing a heating and air conditioning system. I purchased a new heating and cooling system, in addition to an extended warranty and maintenance contract. During the winter the heating system worked in my home. However in the summer, the AC stopped working. It took JSP several days to try to get the air conditioner to work, with no relief to me as I endured my home with no air conditioning in the middle of a heat wave. After failing to fix the air conditioner JSP's personnel seemed to abandon the job by not following up with a solution in a timely manner, in a situation that needed urgent relief. After weeks of no communication nor clear solutions, I was notified that the manufacture sent JSP a unit, which only performs heating OPPS, which was knowingly and willingly installed in my home. Since then JSP has refused to fix the problem nor offer relief. Dealing with JSP has been an absolute nightmare , not only did I spend an uncomfortable summer without air conditioning, lost $17,700, hire a lawyer with ongoing costs, I felt cheated. Not only did JSP refuse to refund me the money for an air conditioning that was never installed ,they refused to pose any fair and effective solution way to fix this problem, which has forced me into an uncomfortable position of taking legal action which will not only be costly but emotionally draining. I am flabbergasted as to the way JSP Home Services has cheated me, and I warn anyone who is considering the companies services to be wary of the companies integrity and transparency. read more

Quoted me 920.00 to change two cartridges in my bathroom sink faucets. The parts are 17.00 a piece and it takes no time to do it. DO NOT JOIN THE JSP Home Care Club! In 2024 they began billing me twice every month for my membership in the Home Care Club; this continued into 2025. When I realized this a few months later, I contacted them and spoke to Robin who promised to refund the money--they owed me over $300--he did not refund all of it. Through several back and forths (this has been going on since August 2025) I have gotten a little more back but not the entire amount. Had to get the NYS Division of Consumer Affairs involved. My advocate managed to get a few more bucks out of them. I disputed the charges with my bank; JSP forked over a bit more, but still not all of it.They owe me $135. They do not respond in a timely fashion, if at all. They have a bot taking calls, so speaking with an actual human being is virtually impossible. I did receive one unsigned email from someone telling me to "check my records". I have informed them that I will be taking them to court and have posted reviews on several sites. read more

Had an a/c cooling problem and had another tech come and check and charged some gas, checked, etc..... next day, no good ...so called JSP who promised a " free quote"... JSP man came, and even after i gave him all the update of what was done ( 2 hrs work, charging etc), he wanted $ 140 for his " diagnosis and quote......we now had a good idea that it had to be the expansion valve ( TXV)- obstructed......but i was not going to get ripped off again.....suffering ? yes.. but we have to put an end to this type of practice, and they hv to give us an estimate to solve the problem.. JSP replaced my outdoor water spigot on July 29, 2024. $297.00. To winterize it I shut off water inside and left spigot open as I did with all my other 3 non-JSP installed spigots which have been fine for 12 years. Today I turned on JSP spigot and water is leaking all over my basement. Two JSP people came out. A worker and a manager. They refuse to stand by their work and replace it. They said the Winterizing is a 2 person job! I should have been shutting water off slowly in basement while another person was outside opening the spigot slowly. Yeah right. Dana did not mention that part and why are all my other spigots fine? Master plumber says total BS. I did everything correctly. JSP did not pitch plumbing correctly therefore there was water trapped near inside wall and it froze then burst pipes. Idiots. read more

New This company used to be reliable and provided quality service! So much that I signed up for their service contract and lined them up for all my needs, hvac, generator and plumbing. Then I started having problems with them over the winter and again last week when I called to have some plumbing problems fixed. The person they sent out said he couldn't do anything to temporarily get the kitchen faucet working until the new one I ordered came in, so okay. Then he was to replace the outside faucet that had burst from freezing. I was recovering from illness so I let him go to it thinking he would do a good job, it didn't seem like a major project even though he was charging me $800 to replace a $40 part. I just wanted it done! I checked part way through and realized he was using a part that was sub standard as it was the wrong color and the grip wasn't going to be good with my older hands and especially since it was all beat up from riding around in his van and looked used! I complained and he didn't want to do anything until I told it was just not acceptable, then he call the office and went to get another part. Things did not go better when he got back as the fixture doesn't match up to the previous one and there is a screw hole along side of it to nothing and a gap on the to and the other screw is crooked and not tighten. All in all it is not the professional job that I paid for and thought I was going to receive! I signed just to get him out of here and called the office the next day to discuss the matter with a manager but was told he would have to call me back. I have called again after the holiday weekend and was told the same, but I have yet to get a call back. Needless to say I cancelled my Service Agreement. Also, I had to ask for a copy of the bill and all I got was a small paragraph of replacing the faucet but not anything about the part, labor, tax or discounts, they supposedly give you! August 15, 2024, Ryan B came to my home to do a heating inspection. He was professional, informative and exceptionally helpful. The heating equipment was fine. However, the signs of hard water was evident. He not only explained how serious this was for maintaining the life of both the heating system and the AC unit but he did a test to show me. The test rated the hard water level as severe. He installed a Flow-Tech Anti-Scale System right then and there, no waiting. Ryan provides exceptional customer service and should be acknowledged for his extraordinary efforts. Putting this here in case this saves someone else the trouble we just went through- long story short, do not hire this company. Here's our story- on a Sat. before Christmas, our boiler gave out. We woke up and the house was cold, we needed help with the boiler fast, so we called JSP. They came over quickly, I'll give them that. The technician who arrived, Gary, seemed to know what he was talking about, I'll also give them that. He said we needed a new heat exchanger, but immediately began trying to upsell us on a new 16K boiler. We said no, we just want to replace the part. He said ok, I'll make some calls, hopefully we'll have it in by Monday evening. We said ok, we borrowed some space heaters. On Monday I called around 11am since we hadn't heard anything, the woman answering the phone had no idea what I was talking about and said we needed to pay 1500 deposit just to get the case moving (the technician never told us that). We did. They said they would call back with an update. They did not. Long story short, over the next 3 days, I called 4 times per day, and the only time anyone from JSP called back was when I finally said we were going with another plumber who we had called and could actually complete this job and get our heat back on. Each time I called I asked to be put in touch with the technician who came to our house, since it was clear that the people answering phones had no idea what was going on, and I figured talking to him directly would be better. Each time I was told "we'll forward that note to dispatch and someone will call you soon", and no one ever did. Each time, I explained that we had no heat and this was critical, and they said "oh yes, you're high priority, someone will call you very soon with an update", and no one ever did. On tuesday they told me they hadn't been able to get in touch with the company that has the parts, because "the person who deals with that is on vacation." I Googled that company and called, had a long conversation with the lady "who deals with that" about the part we needed and about our warrantee, and who said they hadn't heard from JSP. We ended up calling the plumber who installed our boiler several years ago, who is down in Newburgh (Nate Parker plumbing, look him up, he's great); he came to look at it on Thursday, by Friday we had a new boiler (for 3K, not the 16 that JSP quoted us) and heat. When I called JSP to get our deposit refunded, they said someone will call you back, and- surprise!- no one ever did. I called again and thankfully finally got someone on the phone who understood and credited us the deposit immediately. I do not know what is wrong with this company. It's not the technicians who come to your house. As I said, the guy who came seemed to know his business. And the upselling we got is, I'm sure, demanded of them by the company. But whether it's management or culture or whatever, something is very wrong with this company. Save yourself the trouble and call someone else. read more

We have had the most horrible experience. Last year when we first encountered JSP for a routine cleaning, they were prompt and there were no issues. We decided to start their monthly payment membership club. It's been a year since starting the membership. We have not needed them since starting the membership except for this summer for routine check of plumbing, electric, and hvac. Our initial appointment for all three services was over a month ago. Plumbing and electric came on the day scheduled. Our light was flickering in one of our bathrooms, so the electrician fixed it in 2 mins. A 2 min job cost $233.83. Having a membership did not give us any discounts. And we also never received a receipt so I'm not entirely sure what was done. HVAC has been canceled three times. One of those times being a no-call no-show. Today is our 4th scheduled HVAC servicing. We received a text saying that we are still on the schedule and will be seen "bearing emergency calls". The range of time given us was basically the whole shift of the technician, so all day. How after three canceled appointments are we not priority and first on the list for the day? How after over a month are we not a priority and the first on the list? There are no current emergency calls so how are we not first on the list. And how do you expect people to stay home all day to wait for a possibility of being seen. We were told that we could step out and do what we need to do for the day but how can we step out and possibly miss the appointment and be penalized for that. After a supposed thorough analysis by way of several third party phone calls to figure out what could be wrong and offering me a solution that cost me 1000.00 +/- plus the service call fee of 120.00 +/- I still have a salt alarm going off. The solution per Mike at JSP is spend another 350.00 plus more dollars. Because we failed to know that we should have an annual cleaning and servicing. I have owned homes for 40 years never had such a problem as this. But it's "our fault" they couldn't fix it with 1200.00 total expenses so far. I really hate leaving a review like this because as a service company, they were quick to respond, friendly and did a good job. but... In 2019 I replaced my water heater using JSP for the purchase of the new water heater and the install. It came to around $2200 total. This Feb in 2023 the water heater blew out and flooded. The water heater was under warranty, so the manufacturer gave me a RMA and told me to contact JSP to get it replaced for free. I knew I would have to pay for installation, though and figured it would be an easy swap out maybe costing $1000 tops. They charged me $2000 to install a water heater which took them about 4 hours to install (one hour of which was waiting for the water heater to arrive). $500 an hour?!? This is predatory and really needs to be investigated. I usually get a steak dinner and drinks before getting screwed this hard. read more

Recently had them replace my old oil burning furnace and AC unit for what I considered top dollar. Great at estimates and service until the check clears. Left without a cleaning up and didn't even respond when I asked for pics of the job because a town inspector had an issue. Left the exhaust fan electrical box uncovered for mice to chew the wires potentially killing my entire family. read more

very poor customer service. Scheduler supposedly made a mistake when setting up my yearly heating system service when I called on November 9 and could offer me an appointment in January. Told her this was unacceptable since it was their error and asked to speak to a supervisor. A very rude person named Robin got on the line and identified himself as a service manager. He was indignant that they wouldn't offer me anything other than sometime in January despite the fact that it was THEIR error. I told him to remove my name from their records and that I would look for a more reputable company. I suggest others do the same. read more

The quote from JSP was to change my Navien igniter and flame rod was over $700. What I ended up paying another company (Lambert)was $202.50. They also quoted me $1300 for a neutralizing condensate pump- I managed to buy one at Home Depot for $150 and install it myself. read more
