So good we stayed 2 nights instead of moving on to Eureka. The lovely park caretaker lives on property and ensures everything goes smoothly and late arrivals no problem. It lays alongside the South Fork Eel River and amongst giant redwoods. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Setting is fabulous. Just look.

This is my first negative review ever. These people are…read moreterrible. I made an appointment to have my car approved after being totaled and repaired. The state insists that you take it to an approved repair shop and have it pass brake and lights , etc. They told me it would be $350. My windshield needed repair and they failed my car because of it. (FYI, that could have informed immediately it couldn't pass unless the windshield was replaced) After returning to pick up my car. And getting the failed paperwork . They said that they could have my windshield repaired so it would pass. ( They charged me $400 plus tax) I made the appointment to have them fix the windshield. Again I brought my car in and waited. Once the windshield repair guy arrived he immediately declined to fix my windshield because it was too complicated. They then told me they would find another windshield repairman to my car. I waited two days no call. I then went to pacific in Arcata. Had my windshield repaired. Returned to Johnson's and they said it would be another $400. Because they would have to recheck everything. Of course I wasn't going to pay them another $400. I drove a block to Broadway and stopped at Broadway Automotive. They would only charge $250. I just believe in good customer service. I would never suggest anyone ever going to Johnson's auto for anything.

Nobody answered then shortly after a lady called was very rude and said the park was closed on Sundays while we were trying to ask the question she hung up I would not recommend this park not sure what the problem is, but they obviously have the wrong people working for them. I would think that they're in the business of making money and a half empty park is not making money we did, however, travel on to another park that readily accepted our reservations at the last minute, even though it was their last day for the season.

The spaces all have full hookups with fire pits and views in every direction. They also have onsite restrooms and laundry facilities. You must have a satellite dish if you plan to watch TV, although they do offer free WI-FI. The gift shop is also one of the best around and offers a wide array of gifts and custom creations as well as cold refreshments. The Immortal Tree is also on site for viewing, and there is an abundant amount of trails and activities nearby. Highly recommended.

Full hook ups, a huge redwood, and a great shower/bathroom facility. Everything was clean and the hosts were amazing. Read on here that Burt was a local fishing guide and he took my son and I out for a full day of fun on very short notice. Burt is a legend in fishing circles and really knows his stuff. He also helped us to coordinate a kayak trip on the Klamath for the whole family. And he really went out of his way to pick me up in Orick when our vehicle was hit by another driver and return me safely back to the RV. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay with Burt and his wife.

We went on a Jet Boat ride, went to Trees of Mystery & just relaxed!!! I can't wait to go back next year & do some fishing next time!

There is a little country type store with the best soft serve ever. There is commercial rafting available. Wild blackberries grow there and there were many berries when I was just there. I thought the owner was friendly and accommodating. My only negative would be the limited spaces are dusty, unlevel and close together. Not all spaces have a sewer tap, but they do have a dump station that usable when leaving.
