We also appreciated the many trees, the picnic table at each site, and a little patch of grass along with the full hookups. Also within walking distance is Eel River Brewery, Bella Italia Italian Restaurant, and the Eel River Walk Trail. The only drawback for us was the traffic noise. Highway 101 runs directly behind the park, and the road out front gets more than its share of trucks and the occasional wannabe dragster. It didn't ruin our stay, but it did impact our sleep. I don't think I would stay here again simply because of the traffic noise. Not the RV park's fault, just simply a matter of location.

The one big negative for me was the traffic noise. The park is right next to a Highway 101 off ramp and there is another road going by the front of the park that is fairly busy and noisy with lots of big rigs. If you do decide to stay here, I suggest you have a noise canceling device or ear plugs. It was hard to get a sound night's sleep.

When I entered the steamy bathhouse I discovered a man partially clothed laying on the floor in the shower-hot water running. I immediately asked if he was okay. He said nothing but closed the shower curtain. I suddenly felt creeped to take my shower. But I did so watching my back. I told the gals in the office what I saw. They did not act surprised as though it was a common occurrence. What the hell is that?? Another thing I noticed about this park; there appeared to be some rather permanent campers lurking throughout the park. Perhaps years. Potted plants, junk piled around their campers, and dog fencing is not an overnight thing. The overall vibe of this place saddened me.

We were long-time…read moreresidents at the RV park-almost -8 years from 2019...loved the previous managers; the park was always clean...the laundry room and showers were cleaned and sanitized daily...the poop stations were dumped every week, and everyone who resided there had to have their dogs on a leash and pick up their poop..... There was DAILY security, noone unless they were PAID residents, could come into the park without checking in with the office. The office and the manager's home were always clean and visually appealing when entering the park. Now, it looks like a dump!! I always felt safe and that my concerns were addressed.... Unfortunately, due to issues with the owner, the managers decided to leave.....the park has been taken over by new management ( which it is rumored DO NOT HAVE A LICENSE to manage an RV park!!). As well as the rumor of a new owner who is also related to the managers. Huge red flag!!! Shortly afterwards, more family of the managers moved in along with homeless people. In the past 6 months, the park has gone downhill FAST!!! Park maintenance is nonexistent- the bathrooms and laundry room are never cleaned-GROSS is the perfect term!!! The dog poop stations are overflowing, and the poop bags are not replaced. People are allowed to let their dogs roam free without a leash, and most don't pick up their dog poop. The new management allows family and friends and homeless people to handle the office, which is only open 90 minutes per day. My lock was cut from my storage shed, which I had been paying for for 7 years. Management stated they didn't have any records of my renting the storage unit despite the fact that I had paperwork to prove it, so they cut the lock and left it open without informing me...My belongings were exposed for several days before I discovered it myself. Nothing is in writing..everything is word of mouth, which changes daily. It is hard to know what to believe. Management will permit others to run the office and daily events, but it changes from person to person. Rent is handled only through e-mail, and none of the invoices are accurate. Cats roam free and poop everywhere. The entire front section of the park smells of pot all day-every day, so getting stoned is more important than doing your job!! A lot of the electrical hookups don't work, and there have been numerous water leaks. The electrical hookup didn't work on our space, so a cord was run under another tenant's trailer and plugged into an alternate space. No one gets notification that they have packages or mail. The tenants have to tell the management that they have mail or packages waiting. No security- anyone is allowed to drive in or out of the park anytime, day or night. Our personal security camera has footage of someone wandering through our space at 1:30 am. We were forced to move from the existing space that we had occupied for over 6 years down to the bottom half of the park due to 'supposed' tree removal, but were promised we could move back in 2 days. We paid for someone to tow us, as well as a flat bed was rented to haul additional outside items, only to find out that only 1 tree was removed, which took over a week. The management told us that we couldn't move back because they don't make any money on long-timers, that overnighters are how they make their money. So an additional expense for us due to misinformation. Seriously, long-timers are what has kept the park going in the wintertime for years!!. Once that river rises this winter...let's see who stays in the park or who leaves. The management is in for a huge awakening!! Shouldn't push out the people that are making you a profit!! The new management is not only uneducated, , they are also clueless, potheads, and just plain ignorant.....Good luck on keeping your tenants! Please AVOID THIS PARK at all costs.....

There is new management as of 1-2 years ago and they are really trying to clean the place up and are going about it in the entirely wrong way, in my humble opinion. Good things about this place- 1. They are outside of Eureka a little bit so there aren't as many homeless people wandering through. This can also be a downside if you don't have a vehicle or are having car trouble 2. There are showers, restrooms, and a laundry room. Laundry is much cheaper than at the local laundromats Not so good things about this place- 1. The managers are trying to get better tenants while removing amenities, not fixing things that desperately need fixing, and constantly changing the rules requiring tenants to spend money on things that are not their responsibility, and then changing the requirements as soon as they have complied. They are also raising the rent while doing this, even for people who have contracts that stipulate otherwise or who they haven't notified. 2. When there are problems that a tenant needs to have solved (like a homeless person causing trouble, other tenants allowing pets to potty without cleaning up, someone doing drugs, etc), the landlords put the responsibility back on the tenants requiring them to tell them exactly who is causing the trouble or calling them when it happens and then not responding for days or longer when they do 3. They are cutting the maintenance man's hours while requiring him to do more than they are paying him for. Because of this, major things requiring repair aren't getting repaired and lawns aren't being mowed and the clippings are left all over the tenants space 4. There are major electrical problems at this location- outlets catching on fire and having major issues like reverse polarity. This has caused damaged to multi trailers and RVs. When it does cause damage or a tenant has to spend a lot of money on an expensive surge protector, they refuse to pay for the damage they have caused and blame the tenant 5. There are many problems with the sewer system as well- drain flies, improper and leaking hookups they will not fix, even if they were messed up before you moved in, etc. I had to spend my own time and money to be able to hook up my RV and it still leaked and smelled. You also cannot leave your black or gray tanks open. This was rather inconvenient as my gray tank filled up daily. All in all, they are one of a very few trailer parks in Eureka that have openings and a less unreasonable rent amount. It's that way for a reason.

The hot tub was quite frighteningly colored, buttttt i got in anyway and havent died or broken out yet. So i guess the human soup is safe ish The washing machine situation was nice though, if you download the app you get a free wash or dry, and if you download it on a different phone you get another free one... just saying. The pillows are so small that at one point i thought i had lost the pillow off the bed but then i looked and it was there. It was basically a sheet of paper with a pillowcase. Pictures were inaccurate on airbnb, which wasnt my fave but oh well. Good for camping but not accurately listed sooo do with that what you will. It was fun but go into it as YOU ARE CAMPING.
