He quickly put me at ease and let me know he had availability--and not just any spot, but one that was facing the beach. Within two minutes, our reservation was set, and less than 15 minutes later when we arrived, he welcomed us with a big smile. Johnny truly went above and beyond. He shared a bit of the property's history during check-in and even met us at our site to help guide our RV into place. The next morning, we enjoyed a peaceful walk along the beach with our dogs--such a beautiful and relaxing experience. If you're passing through, definitely make this a stop--you won't regret it!

This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!!

As for events, You name the event, I've probably been to it. Auto racing, the circus, I saw the lippizaner stallions here the Sunday flea market. The annual Redwood Acres Fair, (it's a small fair that runs for about a week, but it's always fun.). And one of the funniest shows I ever saw here, was called "extreme midget wrestling." I recently attended one of their summertime monthly events, called "acres of eats." a good sized selection of food trucks/trailers, entertainment, activities for the kids, etc. It was a wide selection of food. I had. A stew and an empanada from a Colombian food trailer. It was absolutely delicious, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a chance to go to this event, or anything else else at Redwood acres, it's worth it. I hope Redwood acres lasts for a long time coming. It's a wonderful asset to Eureka.

Redwood Acres has a series of buildings which accommodates to various needs…read more I have been able to attend the Humboldt Roller Derby, Healthy Humboldt aka Festejando Nuestra Salud (both as a participant and a volunteer, assisting a Doctor give shots to low income families), volunteered with Elders Inner Tribal Dinner (where yummy Wiyot Tacos are sold) & have came here on a field trip with a school to look at heavy machinery (bulldozers etc.) laid out inside where cars usually park while people are having wood cutting competitions and animal demonstrations are being held next door to the brewery. Additionally, the event (forgot the name) allowed the students to go on a hay ride and sit inside of a parked helicopter where race cars /monster trucks arena is usually held. Overall, it is a nice place to experience large events to small events like the county covid testing area.

So good we stayed 2 nights instead of moving on to Eureka. The lovely park caretaker lives on property and ensures everything goes smoothly and late arrivals no problem. It lays alongside the South Fork Eel River and amongst giant redwoods. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Setting is fabulous. Just look.

They have a cute little u shaped area for pop-up campers. Not all sites are super level. Some are pull thru and some back in. Some spots back up to 101 but we became used to the sparse traffic quite quickly. The tent sites are mostly very private. They are nice. Perhaps the neatest places to stay are the cabins. They look so inviting. Some have full kitchens which works out nicely since this very well stocked grocer, Murphys, is just down the street. It was a surprising find in a town of a little over 300 souls. They have a hot bar too! Nice people abound in this area. The little store onsite is also well stocked. There are toasty bathrooms available and the showers, if needed, are coin operated. Fair warning: if you use starlink, there are a ton of trees! There is a "bark park". We visited all the cities/towns in the area including the absolutely adorable Ferndale! We highly recommend the beach in Trinidad. Just stunning with tons of soft sand. We recommend Emerald Forest Cabins & RV.

The Immortal Tree is also on site for viewing, and there is an abundant amount of trails and activities nearby. Highly recommended.

Very nice park, safe and easy to get to right off the 101 highway. Full hooks ups, pull thru level pads, grass all around the site. They have a pool and hot tub, Good laundry room, along with a good Mexican Restaurant in walking distance to the park. We will stay here again when we are in the area. Eureka and Arcata are nice, but they both have some bad elements, be aware of the areas you are in. This RV park is safe and in a good safe area. While there we visited the Redwood Nation Park, Trees of Mystery, Avenue of the Giants, town of Ferndale and lots of Ocean hikes.

In fact we decided to stay another night, although we moved to the site next to us because the first one was a bit uneven. We were in the back row higher up, which we preferred because we had less neighbors, although was a bit of a walk to the bathrooms/showers. With a military discount we paid around $75 per night. We were a little surprised they labeled these back sites as "ocean view" since you really can't see any of it through the trees, though you can hear the ocean in the distance which is nice. We were ok with that but in my opinion is false advertizing. The grounds are very clean, pretty well maintained, and very quiet at night. The sites in our area all had fire pits, and small decks with a picnic table. The showers do not require coins and the water is hot. There is also a hot tub near the office although we didn't have time to use it. We would stay here again and I recommend it to others.
