The room we stayed in was comfortable and the decor appropriate, not overdone. It was clean as were the bathrooms. Note: Be sure to bring your own house shoes. The Pinc Lady Mansion has a no-outside shoes allowed inside policy and the loaner slippers are all in women's sizes. Unless you are a woman or child, they will not fit.

In the mornings the breakfasts were excellent. One morning was two quiches and the next blackberry bread pudding. Both served with fresh fruit and excellent coffee. The fruit and eggs are from the chef's farm and we even came home with a dozen of her eggs. She and the food were a delight. Finally the hosts were welcoming and warm. They are trying hard to restore the place to it's former glory. I can't imagine it is easy especially when a storm last year took out their huge redwood tree. But it doesn't take away from the glory of the stay.

The breakfast was yummy - an apple Dutch baby (YUM), ham, yogurt, berries, and jam. She also provides cream, coffee and a French press. We rented the Rhododendron flat so we could have two rooms. It comes with a kitchenette with the coffee, tea, mini fridge, etc. The sitting parlor was lovely and the bathroom is pretty. The beds were comfortable and the establishment was pleasant and quiet.

Elly always makes renting the place so easy and I'm delighted to be able to stay there instead of renting a nondescript hotel room. So happy that this lovely cottage exists!

There was even a free bottle of wine! The fridge and cupboards are stocked with goodies and the kitchen is clean, functional, and adorable. The bed is super-duper comfortable, with 100% cotton sheets and a heated bed pad. I also really appreciated the fact that the comforter had a duvet cover that gets washed in between every guest. Honestly, you can NOT do better for the price. Very reasonable rates for such a clean quiet place to stay and all the extras. Small dogs are welcome, too! Which was a big deal for me.

There's a private patio overlooking lovely woods and the beautiful town of Ferndale. Getting into town is easy, too - just a few minutes walk.

The architecture of the inn reflects the charm of the city. The rooms are very quaint and quiet. They may be small but they are very comfortable and well adorned. The only issue is that the inn is not ADA compliant and the stairs are a little steep when carrying luggage. All the rooms are upstairs Jason the owner was accommodating and very friendly Our deep respects and admiration for Lowell at the desk who made our stay so special and was beyond friendly and caring We are both nights in the village pub where both Lili and Andrea outdid the service. Not only was their hospitality and friendliness superior but the food was very good. The fish and chips cooked to perfection, the fries crispy and delicious and the smashed burger perfectly made. Lily was friendly and sure to greet us on her day off ! We can't say enough wonderful words about our experience We just wish that the breakfast service was available before 8am and had a few more substantial choices.
