The Pink Lady or "The Pinc" is located on Humboldt Bay near the historic Carson House. It is also a Victorian Queen Anne architectural style home. Carson House owner William Carson gifted this home to his son and wife on their wedding day in the late 1800's. Unlike Carson Mansion, you can actually go inside the Pinc. You can book an overnight stay, a tour, or an event here. This place can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 large bedrooms. Coming soon will be a lounge room for dining, a gift shop, and a museum. If you don't get a chance to go inside, take a minute to admire the gorgeous architecture of this place from outside. The restoration process of the Pink Lady was featured on Discovery+. Because this place is a historical landmark, there are strict policies that all guests must adhere to.

The Pink Lady Mansion belonged to William Carson's son. This mansion is right across the street from the Carson Mansion. Unlike that mansion The Pink Lady you can go in as it is a guest house at this point of time but casual passersby should not get the impression that you can do a tour on demand. You will probably need to make arrangements to see the inside with who owns the building. The mansion fell into disrepair at one point but then got restored. Not sure if it was always pink but it was pink since the restoration. While not quite as noticeable from a distance and not quite as opulent as the Carson Mansion it is still a very unique looking building in the neighborhood and is well worth some pictures and as for seeing the inside best make arrangements for that to happen.

When do you get a chance to sleep in a beautifully restored 1880s mansion? Gracious host, warm ambience, comfortable beds, spacious. We had a lovely time. Bathrooms are down the hall, but there are three of them and only 5 guest rooms.

I just went to a Valentine's tea party event at the Pinc Lady Mansion and I must have exclaimed, "How lovely!" x20 times because it was just that - as charming as could be! From the gorgeous decor & stunning architecture to the warm & welcoming people helping us, everything was perfect. The food and drinks were delicious and so thoughtfuly presented I could hardly believe my eyes. There were even darling party favors - so festive! I can't wait to return here for more events, and I am excited to get my mother-in-law a stay in the Pinc Lady for the ultimate Mother's Day treat. Bring your favorite ladies here; they will love it, guaranteed!

This is a beautiful Victorian across the street from the Carson Mansion. When you are visiting the Northern Coast of California in Eureka, Ca be sure to make time to see these beautiful buildings, Built in 1889 it is another fine example of Queen Anne architecture . It was a wedding present from William Carson, owner of the Carson mansion , to his son John Milton. It is pink and white, called the Pink Lady. We have not been inside of this mansion but it is stunning from the outside, it has plummy of stain glass and awesome views of Humboldt Bay, rumor has it that it's haunted! When in the Eureka area it's a must see, highly recommended

Chandelier didn't work nor did many of the outlets for light.

I'm deeply saddened by the need to recount our devastating experience at the Pinc Lady, where my husband and I celebrated our wedding on October 13th. What should have been a joyous occasion turned into a nightmare, marred by the unprofessionalism and troubling actions of the new owners, Mario and Jacquelyn. I would have liked to have left a more detailed review with more evidence, however Google only allows so much. Background: Coming from lower Southern California, we discovered the Pinc Lady through a postcard featuring the Carson Mansion. Living 10 hours away, the Carson Mansion's strict "club-only" policies led us to choose the Pinc Lady for its charm and history, though unaware of the drastic changes under new ownership. Despite viewing appealing online photos from the previous owners, the reality revealed itself on their Airbnb page and in-person. Booking and Communication: Booking the venue in early summer for Thursday to Saturday, we paid around $2,000 for two nights. Initial communication with Jacquelyn, Mario, and Gabby seemed promising, with clear expectations for our wedding ceremony and reception. Thursday 10/12: Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Mario, as Jacquelyn was absent. Despite his initial helpfulness, the disappointment began with the cluttered entryway and tacky house slippers setup. The interior tour revealed a lack of cohesion, cheap decorations, and an overall disregard for the historical mansion's integrity. Issues escalated as Mario failed to mention the backyard's demolished state due to renovations, affecting our planned outdoor ceremony. Nonchalantly, he requested a $500 security deposit, catching us off guard, and Jacquelyn's handling of the payment was unprofessional. Darkened rooms with malfunctioning chandeliers and outlets added to our dismay, forcing us to cancel our catered dinner due to insufficient lighting. Jacquelyn promised a 20% discount due to the lack of lighting and usage of two main rooms during our-stay. Friday 10/13: On our wedding day, morning hiccups included missing light bulbs and lamps. Attempts to create light for the ceremony exposed a deteriorated blind due to sun damage. Tensions peaked when Mario and my mother engaged in a verbal altercation over opening blinds for light, resulting in unprofessional threats regarding the security deposit. Later that evening, police presence revealed a woman's abduction in front the mansion, emphasizing the compromised security camera situation. Police expressed disappointment in the Pinc Lady, underscoring safety concerns in the area. Saturday 10/14: We left the Pinc Lady in its original condition, meticulously restoring the setup. Communication issues persisted post-wedding, with no resolution on the damaged blind, the unreceived security deposit, or the promised reimbursement. One-Month Update: Efforts to work with Jacquelyn on the blind issue proved futile, prompting the decision to file a civil case for the promised money. Our wedding day, tainted by regret, serves as a cautionary tale against recommending the Pinc Lady for any event, especially a wedding. The overall experience, marked by a series of disappointments and safety concerns, leaves an enduring sense of dissatisfaction and disappointment. 0/5 stars, do not do business here.

The Pink Lady is a smaller mansion right across the street from the Carson Mansion. Apparently the owner of the Carson mansion built the Pink Lady to give as a gift to one of his children for their wedding (there is a plaque mentioning this in front of the home). Although it's not as large, the Pink Lady is still a beautiful home! When I visited it, they unfortunately not giving any indoor tours (due to COVID). This is still a must-see stop if you're visiting Eureka and appreciate history.

Before we bought our house the previous owners had, at one point, painted it Pepto Bismol pink. Before they put it on the market they repainted it a neutral beige so I never saw it in it's garish pink glory. Now, our house isn't a Victorian mansion but when I saw The Pink Lady I imagined that, just perhaps, our house wasn't quite so bad that shade. It's actually pretty adorable on the Pink Lady, with its white accents and lead, stained glass windows, it's a stunning home. We didn't go inside but, since we stopped by to check out the Carson Mansion across the street, we encountered the Pink Lady. And, to be quite honest, I preferred the Pink Lady to Carson. It's just cute and far more photogenic than its more masculine partner across the street. It's definitely worth a peek if you're in the area!

the Pink Lady... aka the Carson house
    Ray F.

The Pink Lady, aka the Carson house, is one of a handful of the grand Victorian era homes to survive in old town. Restored and maintained over the years and now back to its former beauty. This grand lady is not open to the public and a multi artist showing afforded us a brief opportunity to explore inside. Every inch of this house has been painstakingly brought back to near original condition. The attention to detail in the woodwork alone is beyond comparison, and a lost craftsmanship you rarely see in today's homes. The high ceilings and windows allow natural light into all of its rooms and makes the space feel warm and bright even on my cool afternoons visit. Stained glass adornments around the parlor glass and stairwell are beautiful details. The door hinges also throughout the entire household are works of art, again a craftsmanship that's unheard of in today architecture. This grand building is available for private venues and as well it can be yours as a vacation rental if you're so inclined. 4 Stars - a unique building with old world craftsmanship throughout, to an era gone by. 00601

Mario and host were extremely friendly, prompt on responses, and professional. We were looking for a unique place to stay and Pinc Lady Mansion exceeded our expectations!

    Beautiful tree

I am originally from the Bay Area and every so often my boyfriend and I come up to visit family in Eureka. Every time we are there we always try to stay at the Pinc lady. The Pinc lady is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. It has the most welcoming host and warmest energy. The hospitality there is incredible and will definitely be coming back for future stays.

The beds were comfy (we were given two Queen beds) and included basic amenities that we mostly use when staying out of town: free WiFi, a flat screen TV, small fridge, and a mini microwave. This is a non-smoking hotel. Property amenities was supposed to include free breakfast but they discontinued it due to Covid. Instead they gave us 20% vouchers to Denny's for each of the 3 days we were staying. We were able to use one. We arrived after 10:00p and the owner who checked us in was nice and super friendly. She apologized for inconvenience of remodeling work being done on the 4th floor (we stayed on the 3rd floor). The side door which was stairs was not the best in appearance but it was convenient because it took us directly to our room upstairs. Free parking. The hotel is proximity to many restaurants and some attractions including a couple of museums. We went to Costco for gas and it was 1.2 mi from here, 0.9 mi to check out the members only Carson Mansion, and for some delicious food at Brick & Fire Bistro it was only 0.9 mi. aaaannnd Highway 101 cuts through Eureka... we were practically on the Redwood Highway.
