I've always enjoyed ordering from you guys and have supported you consistently, which is why I wanted to share this experience honestly. I placed an order through Slice around 7:30 PM and was initially told the delivery time would be 80-85 minutes. Because I needed to get to bed early, I called shortly after to cancel. I was told the timing was inaccurate and that the food was "just about ready to leave," so I decided to keep the order. About 30 minutes later, I called again to check in and was reassured it was almost out the door. After that, I tried calling a third time and couldn't get through to anyone. The food ultimately arrived around 8:55 PM. On top of that, the delivery was dropped at the wrong door of the dwelling, and the driver repeatedly knocked there, which caused an unnecessary disturbance before calling me to explain where it was left. I completely understand being busy, and I'm glad your business is doing well, me and my family have always supported you. But clear communication and transparency would have made a big difference here. If I had been told the actual timing upfront or allowed to cancel when I first called, this situation could have been avoided. read more

This has been our go to pizza place since we moved to Fredericksburg in the spring this year. It's a little spot in a strip mall and easy to miss. I have a buy one get one free special so you can buy any pizza and then you get a free one topping same size. We haven't found better tasting or better deal. They also have ice cream which we haven't tried yet and they have housemade cakes which are all delicious! They're the Caesar salad is delicious. We all enjoy it usually we have to order two. It's not quite New York style pizza It's definitely not deep dish. It's just good pizza. If I could have given then negative stars I would have I have been ordering from J's for over 10 years, when I first had their pizza it was absolutely amazing, lots of toppings, the vegi's were so fresh it seemed like they just picked them. Unfortunately today was the last time that I will order from J's due to the following issues. DO NOT get it delivered, one time it took 2 hours for my order to be delivered to my house. Another time it took 1 1/2...and I only live 2.5 miles from J's Also the food has gone downhill in a big way... The pizza no longer has fresh vegi's and the amount of toppings have decreased substantial. The steak n cheese sub has no flavor at all and canned Ravioli is way better than the Toasty Ravioli that they make. I should have stuck with Chef Boyardee at least it has flavor... So, they changed hands several years ago and we've been eating here the past two years, under the new ownership and not only has the service been spot-on PERFECT (If not, call them and they'll make it right), but the food is consistently excellent! UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP! When you read the reviews, anything pre-COVID is from a previous owner, and that owner used frozen meatballs, frozen mozzarella sticks, frozen onion rings, frozen dough, etc. The new owner actually makes their own, but can't easily remove all the subpar comments from Yelp because she kept the name and signage. Give this "new" place a shot. The steak and cheese is solid, the pizzas look good, and there are a lot of under-advertised ice cream options and usual flavors. One of, if not the best cheesesteaks I have ever had! The owner recommend the garlic bread cheesesteak last time which was absolute dynamite. And please don't forget the onion rings. I am looking at the reviews and I am not even surprised that some are lower than a fourth star rating. I had my first slice of their pizza just yesterday, delivered at my friends house. They were highly recommended, and me being the hungry foodie that I am, have decided to try. I even sacrificing eating gluten , and bread just for the sake of tasting it. ( my body can't handle sugar from breads and starches ) You would think calling them was the easy part of the ordering process but man, it was not. The person who answered the phone call, sounded rude and not a happy camper. She sounded like somebody that was not listening intently for the new address. My friend had to spell it twice , gave his number 4X for her to understand . She didn't sound like she was from a foreign country at all. After the extra effort of just getting the information, we paid the bill, left a tip, and excitedly wait for our food. They have this special, that you get bogo free pizza , so that was a plus. We reminded ourselves about that, just so we can forget about that horrible phone call. By the way, we are only 2.9 miles away from the restaurant, and if you are reading this from the far future of no quarantine and staying in the house , well ya, we were stuck, so we chose to get delivery. Cause we would have picked it up if it was a different situation. Forever of waiting (which is understandable) , my friend got a phone call, because apparently , their driver got lost , and that my friends address was not available on google maps. Well folks, if you haven't guessed it yet, she misspelled the address street for the uhmp- time , that my friend has to spell it again, slower than last time. Moving forward, when we got our orders. The pizza had so much meaty flavor ( I ordered the "meaty lovers") , the thickness of the bread to topping ratio was on point. This place was delicious! The owner was so nice and came to check on how I was doing. The waitress was so upbeat and such a blast to talk too! And what's better than a great convo and great food? Nothing. I got the chicken kabobs, and they did not disappoint! The chicken was juiced with nice flavoring. The peppers, onions, and mushrooms that were sautéed with the chicken was also a great addition. This is one of my favorite places to eat and I went in there the other day and it has just gotten nicer. They have remodeled painted cleaned up move things around, decorated and everything looks great clean smells good and the food has not changed. The food is awesome and the service and management is great. This place is something that you need to put in to your regular schedule because it's that good. Save your money and go somewhere else. My first time here, I would have rated it a 4. It's become worse every time. We ordered from their BOGO pizza deal, 1 we asked for no mushrooms. After a bit of a wait, we received the pizzas, one was very greasy and soggy and the other had mushrooms when we asked for none. Called in and got patched through to the chef. The chef was very rude and defensive and zeroed in on the mushrooms. Indignantly stated he didn't put mushrooms on there and would make a new one, but wanted it back for proof. Never addressed the second pizza. New pizza comes and the delivery guy would not take the pizza the chef wanted, it was close to closing and I don't blame him. New pizza came without mushrooms, not worth the stress. We ended up just getting dominoes and it was made correctly and tasted better. Well I go to Js every now an again yo get a GYRO. Usually there are pretty good. But yesterday they sucked. I was charged $23.00 for a gyro that that was suppose to have extra meet and a Italian sausage sandwich. Theirs was a half a slice of tomato, no onions and no extra meat I be gotten them enough to know. The sausage sandwich was a twelve inch with a six in cut up piece of sausage. On a recent weekend when I had company visiting, we found ourselves on Warrenton Road and hungry! What are the choices... chain restaurants, fast food, and Js Pizza and Sub Cafe! Yeah for Js! This small cafe was a charming place to stop on a Saturday afternoon. Though all the tables were full or recently vacated when we arrived, we had prompt and friendly service. Our table of three had differing tastes on this day, but all with consistent (and good!) results from the kitchen. The salad with tuna was a full bowl of fresh and crisp vegetables with obviously homemade tuna salad. Though the tuna was made with light meat, it was not doused with mayo and had nice flavor according to my aunt. My fresh mozzarella and tomato on foccacia bread was very tasty. The basil pesto on the sandwich was just right. It came with a side of fries which were piping hot and fresh! Since I don't eat fries very often, they hit the spot for me! The only mediocre dish, in my humble opinion, was the pizza. There was nothing special about it. I think I would have found special with one of the Korean menu items, but since we were looking for a quick and light meal, we did not order from the dinner entree part of the menu. So if you find yourself hungry and on Warrenton Road (or even I95 near Warrenton Road), bypass the fast food and chain restaurants and go to Js Pizza. You will be glad you did! read more

Seriously the worst food. I gave it to the dogs as it wasn't worth the calories. We called to see how our buy one get one free could be $30 and they they said add $1.69 per topping. They use frozen rabbit pellet toppings. LIterally we opened the box and couldn't tell one pizza from the other and they were different toppings. We had paid for 4 toppings and it looked like a cheese pizza with some small rabbit poops on it. Domino's is like 5 star pizza compared to this place. Their frozen toppings were chopped in microscopic pieces and when we called the place to say this is god awful he said no one ever complained. I have been ordering from Js for over 6 years and I have always enjoyed the food. Here in the last few months, the food has gone way down. The last few times I have received over cooked fries, missing items, burnt food, and incorrect orders. This last order I received, I had burnt fries, a gyro that literally only had dry meat and bread with no sauce or cheese and no salad, the steak and cheese was mostly onions, and the bacon cheese fries were so burnt they were hard as a brick. I had enough and called to report the issues I had with my order. The employee who answered the phone was clueless and just said "oh I'm sorry" as if an apology fixes the issue... so I then asked to speak to the manager. The manager Erica got on the phone and was rude and does not know how to talk to people. She would cut me off to tell me I was wrong and wouldn't let me speak. Erica claims she had worked as a manager there for a long time and told me that an item I was reading off of a menu right in front of me was not something that they have ever served.. I have been ordering the same thing for over 6 years and I was staring at the menu that clearly had it written out. Even if the menu has been updated within the last year I received the one I have, a manager who claims to have worked there for so long would have knowledge of item changes. Ordered a Reuben, blah (had one piece of corned beef on it, little bit of sauerkraut, not even sure if it had swiss cheese now that I think about it and the rye bread was not toasted).
