The owner is a wonderful man. I have been into cigar stores with wider selections before, sure, but J's by far takes the cake for the best tobacconist around. J is helpful to beginners who don't know what they're looking for, he has an incredibly warm and funny demeanor. He and I started talking when I went in for the first time and we talked for quite some time after realizing we both grew up in the same small Alabama town. He also gave me coffee free of charge - and it was good, strong Nicaraguan coffee. If you're near his shop, check it out. I can't think of one single complaint. read more

So I like good customer service and this place has it. Wanted to get some cigars for a party and stopped by here because it was close to where I was. The owner walked me around the humidor and offered me suggestions as I said what I was looking for. He guided to my favorite cigars so I knew this was a grand spot. I recently began occasionally smoking cigars. Obviously being new to this, I needed some insight. I recently moved over near where J's cigar shop is, and was very impressed when I stopped in with a group of friends about 6 months ago. Earlier today, I decided to pick up a box of cigars and was greeted equally warmly. J is one of the friendliest, nicest small business owners you'll ever run into. Literally walked me through the entire process, gave me a free cigar cutter and box of matches. He even threw in a small humidifier what you're supposed to keep in the Box to keep moisture levels on point. We actually sat at his bar and talked about Cuba, small business taxes and all the other stuff guys apparently do in cigars stores. I visited couple of cigar shops in GA but when I looked at the reviews of JS then I though of visiting this place. Man this place took me in 1980's; old counyry shop; marble table to play chess and the owner; he is remarkable and even the people in the shop.I felt as this place is regular for them. Was in the area over the weekend with my son, while his girl friend and my wife did a bit of girl stuff, we decided to grab a cigar. Found this place on line and checked it out. Nice! Wish I had a place like this on the south side of Atlanta. We didn't stick around to smoke, but browsed the humidor and picked up a few. Good selection to choose from. I'm 18 years old and don't know much about cigars so me and 5 other friends came into J's on a Tuesday morning. We walked in and was immediately greeted by J himself. We then walked into the humidor and were amazed at the selection they have there. Seeing how we don't know much about cigars we asked J for help we (were just expecting suggestions on what to get) but he gave us the most in depth analysis on cigars and cigar smoking.
