However all good things come to an end and the tree was telling us so. It was a willow and time to go. We contacted these folks and arranged for a cutting down of the tree so it would not pose a danger to others or to us. The quote was quite reasonable and we decided to go forward. We were in no rush and it was suggested we do so after the Christmas holidays. Monday was the scheduled date. Sure enough they showed up on Monday morning and it took about an hour to cut down the tree. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. They were careful to remove a bench which was under the tree but not damaged and then replace it in the same area when they were done. We are very pleased with the work they did and they seemed quite knowledgeable. The work was top notch. They seem busy all the time so if you are flexible and can work with them I'm sure any job will be done with great success.

The tree removals were completed to our satisfaction on that day. I had considered having the stumps removed & when Mike inquired about whether or not we wanted to have them taken out, I told him to go ahead (for an additional charge of $200). A stump removal machine was brought in & the stumps were removed. We were advised that there might be some minor damage done because of the stump removals. We paid the invoice in full & Mike & his team quickly left. It wasn't until we later inspected the property more thoroughly that afternoon that we noticed massive damage had been done to our front & side yard, as well as having a water supply line to our landscaping cut. Long story short, there was approximately $2000+ worth of damage done to our property, requiring replacement of 14 landscape pathway lights & walk/flood lights (with necessary rewiring materials), repair to the water line, as well as labor to repair the damage to the lights & surrounding landscaping. We contacted Mike that same day to let him know what we had found. We have attempted to contact Mike on numerous occasions to try to rectify this situation, including sending a letter via registered mail with photos (19) documenting the previously described damage. Our last contact with him was by phone in late July, at which time he promised to remove some dead branches from the trees in our front yard at no charge in order to remedy the damage that was done to our property. The scheduled appointment day came & Mike was a no show. We have not heard from him since. Although we had used Vega's Tree Service in the past & were happy with their service, I can't recommend them based on their failure to make this situation right with the damage they caused. I would suggest delaying payment if you do decide to use them (no down payment before service is rendered) & don't pay until you have thoroughly inspected their work once the job is done!!!!!

The first time was to clean up a huge Maple tree stuck between a fence, deck, and shed. They were patient and took their time to ensure nothing surrounding the tree was damaged. The second visit was over five years later to take the same Maple tree down. Again, they brought down the tree safely without damaging the surrounding structures. They are competitively priced compared to what we have seen from other services used throughout our neighborhood. Royal tree is the best value for the money.
