I was in long branch temporarily for 6 weeks and I swear I got this grilled chicken caesar wrap maybe 4 times. It is INCREDIBLE I don't know what's in there to make it so good. The chicken is perfectly cooked, the croutons are so crispy and not at all soggy and it's perfectly seasoned. The only reason I did not give this a 5 stars was because the first time I went, they gave me the incorrect order and I had to drive back to pick up the correct order and I found that to be a little annoying. I've only ever had their chicken caesar salad, but its the BEST CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD. I'm a CCS connoisseur so I know what I'm talking about. Of course it starts with the dressing as all good CCS does. Its not overly seasoned but has the perfect consistency too hold nicely on the always fresh and crispy romaine. And for the chicken its simplicity makes it the perfect pairing. Simply grilled with salt and Peppa, but thinly sliced which allows you to get the perfect bite that highlights both the chicken and dressing. And to "top if off" they have a fresh mixture of different types of bread crumbs to add variety of tastes. There are plenty of places in the area that will hit you over the head with a $25 CCS and they won't be half as good. And here you thought there was no legit CCS connoisseurs out there, welp go there and try to prove me wrong. read more

I specifically ordered a Jr's blackened chicken sandwich with no cheese. They sent the sandwich with cheese anyway I called the correct order. They deny my request and told me I have to buy another sandwich after I told him I was lactose and Ty and someone made a mistake on the order. He tried to read back to me and tell me I made a mistake which I knew I didn't. I will never go there again and waste my money with people to who don't respectmy time or my service. I'm a local business owner and I would never treat my customers in such a way. Incompetent employees will cost this business in the long run. I've been here multiple times and have had delivery on more than one occasion. The timing of the delivery and the politeness of the staff was quite welcomed. And while it was an oversight on my part to double check how much I had paid, the price of the order and tip should be listed separately. That being said, I tipped twice accidentally because while the original online tip was added to the order (included in the price), it had also been listed again, separately. And when it was time to sign, added the tip in again. And while I'm sure the staff could use the extra cash, the receipt should be made a bit more clear to the customer. Thank you! read more

Please do not be fooled: mighty things can come in small packages. Jr's was spot on for fulfilling those late night food cravings that literally brought me back to my senses. However, after the fun times subsided, the food was still solid, tasty and filling. I didn't check out any reviews and just went off of a recommendation, prior to ordering. I have to admit I went against everything that reviewers recommended. I ordered delivery on a Saturday night, yet the food was timely in arriving at a hot temperature. (Shout out to the hot, tall, dark and handsome delivery Man-- someone get him a yelp account please) I ordered the starter package deal which is probably best for two or three people and explains why I could not finish anything in one sitting. After calculating the cost, tax and tip I ended up paying wayyyyy less than what I was expecting (City living has me in this mode). Be aware that although servings do not look large, they are very filling. The quantity and quality of the food was staggering. The crispy chicken jr (1 order comes with two sándwiches) put a lot of places to shame (insert any chicken sándwich making fast food chain here). The salad was beyond fresh with thin cuts of grilled chicken, fresh croutons, parmesan cheese, romaine lettuce and a caesar dressing that tasted freshly made. I have been going to Jr.'s since I was a student at Monmouth university, and it has always been a staple for topping off a night out in the West End! The staff is friendly, the food never disappoints, and the restaurant is clean and has a fun atmosphere. That being said, I took my very skeptical fiancé (who did not go to Monmouth and likes to joke that I overhype any restaurant in that area because it's mostly the nostalgia for me), and I am happy to say that he was extremely impressed! Here is what to order: -always go for the fire sauce! You can order extra on the side for .75 extra and it's completely worth it! Get twice what you think you will need! They have many other sauces too, so I highly recommend trying any of them as well. -Pretzel buns are the way to go--they never disappoint and hold the burgers together very well. -Do not overlook the nachos! The nachos at Jr.'s have always been my favorite menu item (one order alone could be a one-person meal in itself) and they are truly the best nachos I have had from any takeout place EVER. -Curly fries are the best side on the menu--enough said! How can you screw up a salad? JR's can. Ordered a simple salad, no onions, no croutons. With salmon, medium rare please, on top. I did a seltzer water with lime. Not hard, right? 1. The salad had croutons 2. The salad had onions 3. The salad came with a piece of salmon that was harder than a rock it was so well done. 4. They couldn't even put the piece of lime in the seltzer water that I ordered. Not a good place. I would skip it. By the way, it appears like most people already know to skip it. I work nights and after 10pm this is one of two or three places still open in my area. I didn't want to cook at 10pm, and I don't like the other two places open, so we decided to try Jr's for the first time. It was an hour delivery which is fine because the food is made fresh. We hated the place sooooooo damn much. First of all, their menu is false advertising. They should say that their mediocre food is sliders and not real burgers. Second of all, the cheese fries were so damn salty that we ended up throwing them away. The only half decent food was the zucchini sticks which tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for 12 hours. The best part of the ordeal? The horrendous price we paid. With delivery charges and tip, we ended up paying $56.91 for two burgers (two sliders each box), bacon burger cheese fries and half zuchini sticks order. That's it, nothing else was ordered. I ended up making us some hotdogs because we were still hungry. Needless to say, I will never eat a Jr's ever again. I tried it, didn't like it. I move on. read more

Def holds down one of the best burger joints in the area! It's pretty perfect in its own delicious way that the burgers come as a set of two sliders but packed with flavor. Also helps that the place is open late so you can actually get some pretty decent food after hours. But mainly I gotta say I do love any place that sells tater tots, maybe it's a little childish but tater tots are the best, especially if done right. Visited JR'S for a second time on Feb. 15th, 2009 Good charbroiled burgers ! Good extra fresh brioche style rolls! I had the "Original JR" which is two 1/4 pound burgers. (see my burger PICS) It's normally $6.00, but I got the lunch special for $9.00 which is the Original JR, plus fries, and a fountain soda. They are open from 11:30 am till 4:30 am, as they try and appeal to Monmouth College students (the college is a few miles or so away) You can go to www.campusfood.com to see JR'S menu. JR'S is located in the West End section of Long Branch. (exit 105 off the Garden State Parkway) And as a bonus, they are only about 1/3 mile to the BEACH! Thank you for saving me from staycation munchies! In my inebriated state, I had almost given up hope of finding something reasonably tasty after midnight...in New Jersey. I assumed this was a) not possible; and b) if possible, not likely to be worth eating. It didn't matter because I needed something to soak up the day's alcohol. I figured it was worth asking the front desk staff at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa for food options. The young man at the desk offered me a menu from nearby Jr.'s and said this was the way to go. (They'll deliver right to your hotel room door--drunken score!) I ordered the crispy, spicy chicken sliders and fries. PROS: -These small sliders can be served on a white, whole wheat, or PRETZEL bun. I'd recommend the pretzel. - Definitely a good bang for your buck. Don't be fooled by the size of these sandwiches- it was nearly impossible to finish. $20 for the snack pack which gets you two sliders and a side or a drink -They gave me the extra ketchup I demanded -The fries were crinkle-cut and pretty good. -They'll bring the food to the hotel room! -Delivery was pretty timely. - Open until 4 a.m. for all your late night munchies (this place is smart) - Spicy sauce was slammin' If there is a next time, hopefully I'll eat more of my meal before I put myself to bed. read more

Not your average burger place! This is one of my favorite places to go to after a day at the beach, especially when I'm really hungry. I will say though, this isn't the place to go if you want something light and refreshing. The sliders are pretty filling and if you add on a side or two, you'll be stuffed. Jr's is awesome because theres such a wide range of sliders to choose from. They come in (what seems like) small sliders but trust me they will fill you up. I love going with friends because you can trade around burgers and try a little bit of everything. There's a lot to choose from for the sides as well. From onion petals to curly fries to fried mushrooms, no matter what you choose they'll taste even better with their sauces! My personal faves are the classic fire sauce and ranch. Their southwestern sauce is good as well, but I'm not in the mood for it all the time-- its kind of like a spicy tartar sauce (?) This time I went, weI got the maui burger with grilled chicken instead of their beef patty, the chicken avocado BLT with crispy chicken, and two half orders of their classic crinkle fries and fried mushrooms. We got our sliders with the pretzel bun which I think is pretty unique and not a lot of places have that. I really can't complain or say much about their sliders because they taste like what the menu says. It's really delicious and each one is stacked--it's amazing. I usually get curly fries or sweet potato fries (which are great) but I wanted to try the fried mushrooms today. Overall, a great burger joint and very unique. Someone recommended this spot for food at 2 am and considering everything in NJ closes early we came here without hesitation. I quickly read the menu and decided on Southwest Jr burger which consists on 2 burgers with onion blooms, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo on a bun. Now as far as the bun goes you can order a regular white bread bun, whole wheat bun, or a pretzel bun. I went with whole wheat and my burgers cooked med well. Now when you look at the menu for sides there a few choices. Most notably the curly fries, cheese fries, tater tots and the bacon burger fries. The bacon burger fries looks amazing but considering I got burgers already I just got the curly fries. So one order of burgers, curly fries and a soda is $16 so be warned its not McDonald's prices lol. I would say the food took over 10 mins to be ready but it was worth it. My burger was cooked perfectly and the curly fries was just the right level of crispiness. The only thing I regret is not getting the brownie bites, which I discovered after I had left. read more

My love for Jr's is directly related to my love of drinking. If I don't drink then I really don't eat Jr's. It's not that the food is bad, but it just tastes better when it's soaking up alcohol in your stomach. My go to order is: Spicy Crispy on whole wheat with pepperjack and an order of buffalo chicken fingers and a cherry coke. Over the years I also have tried the regular burger (it's good) and the claw jr (crab cake, it's not so good). They also have krazer fries which are cheese fries with bacon and burger. Jr's used to be my favorite burger joint in all of Monmouth county, but I think they've slipped a little. Their burgers just aren't as tasty as they used to be, and are priced at a premium over other burger joints. For my money Jack's serves up an equally good, if not better burger right down the street, and for less $. Only been here once, so my review is based off of only one order. A friend and I stopped in for lunch one quiet Saturday afternoon. We each ordered wraps. We got our food rather quickly. We decided to sit out doors, the weather was still nice. The place is rather small, being a small west end place, but because it was early and there weren't too many people it was rather comfortable. I ordered a chicken and swiss wrap which was really good. The chicken was tender, and the cheese added the perfect amount of flavor. The wrap was plentiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only disappointment was the prices of the menu items. My wrap was near $10, no sides, no fries. And the water was in a bottle. I'm not so hung up on the prices, but i prefer my beverages in a cup, than a bottle. Especially when I'm sitting in the establishment. What was nice, my guest and I stayed quite a long time, we weren't bothered. I'm not too sure how willing I'd be to go back. I have been supporting this restaurant since they first opened back in 2006. Since then they have doubled their prices and upcharge everything from sodas to sides of sauce for .75 each! And for that they barely fill the little cups. And if you ask to buy a large bottle they say we are not selling the large bottles but you can buy as many .75 cups as you want. This use to be a great spot to come grab food but for a few burgers and wraps your at $80 and with spending that much youd think they would throw in some extra sauces for spending so much but no. Not to mention I dont even live in NJ anymore so anytime I fly up here I make a point to visit Juniors and grab a couple bottles of their fire sauce. Needless to say this is my last time stopping by any of their establishments. Food is good but to double their prices over the last 15 years and be charging so much for petty items like sides of sauce is unreasonable.
