Raymond and crew came out July 10 and overcharged for reinstalling a toilet. It's over 2 weeks later, and still no invoice or warranty. What they did right: 1. Raymond responded on the phone right away. Came out a few hours later on a Saturday. His crew came by an hour and wrapped up in less than an hour. 2. Raymond was fairly patient on answering questions, easy to understand, and had a part 1 & part 2 plan if the leak was not resolved. 3. The toilet leak fixed. Why I'm giving them a low review (with screenshots to supplement) 1. Raymond charged $250 to reseat a toilet with two wax rings. In total, those two wax rings and caulking definitely cost less than $10. It took ~30 minutes of labor so I suppose the hourly rate was $200+? I would understand a weekend surcharge, but that is still overpriced. 2. Raymond was fine with me paying with credit card, and said to give him a call to pay after the service if his crew didn't have a processor on them. The crew didn't, so I texted him to arrange payment. Suddenly he wanted Zelle or Cashapp. I said I didn't have those. He promised to call in a few...and ended up calling the next day instead (at an inconvenient time). I sat around with my credit card ready for several hours before I put it away. 3. He promised to send me the invoice & warranty documents the next day. I sent him a reminder Sunday, Tues, Wed. He replied to each of those, but on Thursday & Friday & Sat - he stopped responding. I'm assuming he never will. I recognize he thinks his service is done, but it's not done until you provide all the promised deliverables. On a separate note, he offered to connect me with his drywall guy, but never offered any names/contact which makes me suspicious that he would inflate the drywall guy's project price and take a cut. This has happened to me before, and I ended up paying thousands more for the work than if I had hired directly. Perhaps this is common in the construction industry, but I do not condone this practice. If you don't care about getting a reasonable price and getting the receipt & warranty for tax purposes and keeping documentation on your house, Raymond's fine and gets the job done. But for the premium price, I was expecting better customer service. Namely, promptness in the invoicing & no resistance on paying with the already agreed upon method of credit card. I was not going to write this review just for the price - I had agreed upon it beforehand...but the overall experience I think warrants warning others. read more

My commodes would not flush on Saturday.We called locally but couldn't get help so we called JR Plumbing and they sent out plumber to Wharton to unstop and check with a camera to see if there were other problems.The plumber couldn't find the clean out and we just moved in so we had no clue.He ended up pulling the commode and unstopping the line. We were quoted an estimate on the phone but he charged us the maximum of the quote and we had to furnish a wax ring (he didn't have one) and he charged 50.00 more for pulling the commode.No camera no answers.Came back on Monday for camera check.Found the clean out but had to break it and didn't replace it and said I could go to Home Depot to get the replacement myself! He charged us 650.00 and I still have to replace the clean out plug myself! I am not a plumber but I thought this was not right.Being over 70 years old I think I won't use their service again. I was looking for someone to replace my water heater tanks located in my attic with a tankless water heater. Raymond responded right away and answered all of my questions (I had many). Raymond was patient and always responsive although he knew that I was in the beginning stages of my research. I decided to go with Raymond for the job. His crew arrived promptly at the time they said, wore masks and shoe covers, protected my carpet with tarp and vacuumed afterwards. They were courteous, informative and professional. They explained what I needed to do for maintenance and showed us the emergency shut off device and the added descaler filter. Raymond with JR Plumbing did a fairly large job for me. He went in through my brick to get to a clogged pipe. He replaced the pipe in a quick and fair priced manner. He even found a brick guy for me and negotiated the price. I highly recommend them and won't call another plumber in the future. read more

Jr Plumbing I used this plumbing company on Friday afternoon (1/28/2022). The guys stated that my main meter pipe broke. They dug up the area saying it was the roots. And when they got to the actual line, they said the original Plumber who built our house didn't seal pipe. They charged me to "fix" the pipe. I've been trying to get in touch with the owner because I had questions and needed my receipt. They cashed my check and yet the owner has yet to send my receipt or answer my questions. Every time I call, get a generic text message and vm. Who does business like this? I attached the picture the day after they "fixed" my leak, but I am the only house that has water retention. And it did not rain this weekend. It is now A week later and no receipt and now phone calls returned to answer my questions!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WHO DO NOT REPOND BACK TO CLIENTS. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. It's sad cus I looked here to find a reputable plumber and seems like I have gotten the run around. People and companies should have better morals and services. read more

I hired them to dig a main line trench and when I contacted them that it wasn't dug to the right slope and that it wasn't a clean dig they wouldn't do anything to fix the problem. I then told them that it was going to cost me another $1000 on top of the $2100 I paid them no response. then I requested that they refund me at least the $1000 I had to spend to fix the trench once again NO RESPONSE! BEWARE I will never refer them to anyone or use them. read more

Had a leak in both bathrooms, they fixed one, had to replace a valve. The shower needed a new cartridge. He said he replaced even told me the dripping was from water remaining in the pipe. The dripping only got worse. When I took the hardware off I saw that it was still the original cartridge. I had to call a new plumber and now it's fixed like it should have been the first time. I wouldn't use J R Plumbing to put a washer in my garden hose. They owe me my money back. read more
