My research helped me to decide to go with a tankless solution, also called an "instant" or "on-demand" water heater. I was leaning toward a brand called Navien, which uses a stainless steel(instead of copper) heat exchanger. The manufacturer's website listed a few plumbers in Houston. Mike Giaconna is the owner of MAK, and he is extremely knowledgeable about all the considerations that are relevant to my situation. He patiently answered all my questions and helped me to confirm the choice of Navien versus other brands. Importantly, he was able to schedule an installation within a couple of days. His plumber Colten arrived on time with an apprentice. They spent the better part of the day on removal of the old tank and installation of the new unit. Voila, I had hot water again! Colten came back a day later to install a recirculation valve, which will make the hot water almost instant at every faucet without wasting water. We are very happy with the entire experience and will surely use this team for other projects in the future. Thank you.

On top of that, they are responsive and they care about doing things the right way. Just last week, Michael helped me with fixing my water softener installation and drain line work.
