I typically don't write reviews but, I recently need a special mounting project - to mount an open case 105lbs PC with VESA mount to my wall to give my office space more room and open up desk space. To that end I called George to request the soonest available appointment. Lucky for me I called on Friday and he had an opening for Monday. In preparation I prepped the office space and mounted the VESA bars onto my pc (same ones that go onto a TV) and I was set to go. Monday arrived but due to a conflict we had to rescheduled for Tuesday. On Tuesday while there was a couple hours of delay for George to come out he kept in constant communication via text messages throughout the day informing me of his impending arrival. Once George arrived he came prepared to work, had his mask and tools. I explained to him where I wanted the mount to be and where I wanted the PC to lay in respect to the wall. George did some initial measurements and we discussed my wall mount off-set capabilities in comparison to the studs and where the PC would end up. With agreement George worked around me while I still worked in some emails and messages for work. Once George completed the wall mount, George tested it out by showing me that it could hold his weight without issue. George then assisted me in lifting this beast of a PC onto the mount which in retrospect was just at the limit of our height. Nonetheless since I wanted to get everything just right, I assisted George with holding the PC into place as he locked everything in, continuously checking with a spirit level to ensure the PC was level. We did these small adjustments to my satisfaction. We then also tested movement left / right along with back and forth with no issue (while my mount can tilt didn't need that so we left it locked and level). In the end it was great installation and I wanted to write this review that if you need a PC or TV mounted George and JR Mounting are great. It's even worth it if you have to help and put in a little elbow grease to make sure its correct. In the end I think the pictures say it all. Thanks George! He initially responded right away and we scheduled an appointment, but then he went radio silent until the day of the service and said he didn't realize how far it was and that he couldn't make it out. The zip code was included in the quote request and he was given the address when we first set up the appointment. Arrangements were made to be home at the time and we were forced to find a backup on short notice. Not a good way to conduct business. read more

I have never mounted a television or even looked for someone to mount one for me. Upon purchasing a new TV, I looked to see what options were out there instead of using Best Buy's Geek Squad. As per usual, I turned to Yelp. JR Mounting had a decent number of reviews and I quickly received a quote for my project. I like to ask too many questions and Jorge answered all of them efficiently and patiently. He also was able to schedule my appointment the exact day my TV was delivered (honestly a huge plus when you get a new gadget that you are excited to use ASAP!). Jorge was professional, friendly, and certainly knows what he is doing (he's an experienced electrician). He assembled a tv mount that I had purchased on Amazon and did not make a mess with all the packaging for the TV or mount (put all packaging back into the boxes). And his prices were very competitive. He was in and out in about an hour for a project that would easily have taken a day or more and would not look nearly as good if I had done it myself (plus I don't have a stud finder so I would probably have a TV fall off my wall). To begin, I enjoy supporting small businesses as often as I can because that may be one's main source of income. With that being said, I threw the dice and selected JR Mounting because (a) the price for mounting was inexpensive compared to others and (b) Jorge (aka George) works 7-days a week which made this convenient for me. Here are the FIVE areas that were a disappointment for me in the overall service he provided: (1) George did text me to tell me that he was running behind. My appointment was scheduled for a window between 1 and 3 but due to what he said (via text) there was an issue with the previous appointment and he could not "guarantee" his arrival until approximately 4PM. Realizing things happen that are sometimes not in our control. . .I gave him a pass on arriving late. Yet, first impressions are paramount for me. (2) George used his stud finder to locate the studs before he drilled a set of holes in my bedroom wall. However, he had to drill a second set of holes as he said to me five minutes before completion "I had to move it over a little". I thought. . . Hmm? (3) When I looked behind the TV (after he left) not only was I bothered by the fact that there are screw holes left in my wall but also pencil marks which he did not take the time to erase. George could have easily used any product (e.g. WD40, Mr. Clean) to remove these marks. George NEVER told me about the holes or the pencil marks that he left behind. Hence, I have to now do the repair work myself. I texted George and told him that I did not appreciate this lack of professionalism and care. His response, "The TV will hide the holes and you can patch the holes and remove the pencil marks if you move". Would George's answer be the same if someone ran into his car and damaged one side? Would he have said, "Well, I can't see the damage when I am driving straight ahead or when I don't look at it." I know that the holes and the pencil marks there and I want my wall back to the way he was before he made the errors. (4) In hindsight George's recommendation for placement of the mount on the wall was not a good choice. I shared with George that movies, shows, etc. will probably be watched while laying down; hence, the placement mattered. I should have listened to my first mind and had him mount the TV a little lower where I originally suggested it be mounted. (5) Upon adjusting the TV to the correct tilt and swivel, my boyfriend found that a screw was loose. All of the screws for this mount should have been tight and secure to prevent any accidents. What if the mount and TV would have fallen onto furniture, a foot, or a person who bent down? When George was leaving he said, I also do electrical work and I can also hide the cords in the wall and I can fix any electrical work in your home. Unfortunately, based on the service that George performed for a TV mount, I will NOT hire him again. George seems to be a nice guy but his area of weakness is in doing a professional job from beginning to end. When you work in someone's home, you have to give 100x more care with the job than you would in your own. I paid George for the cost of the job and I provided him with a tip. George did send a text to apologize but I am the one who now has to do the clean-up work for a job that was not done well. To George: I am not going to leave holes in my wall and pencil marks "even though the TV hides it". An apology and a return of $50 for the labor that I have to do would have been the right thing to do. read more

After a reschedule, stuff happens..give grace, George hung my tv and sound bar just in time for my Christmas party tomorrow night! He even went to the store to get some anchors to ensure our sound bar didn't fall! Very nice and did a wonderful job. May be calling George for Christmas lights next year! Pros: Was able to get TV mounted the same week, service was done well Cons: None that I can think of Needed to get my 55" TV wall mounted and I reached out to several TV mounting companies on Yelp. JR Mounting came back with a reasonable quote and availability within the same week. In addition to doing the mounting, he also provided a TV mount (at an additional cost). He only needed about a little less than an hour to find the right height to mount the TV, cut some holes for wires, and mount the actual TV. He was very helpful with suggestions about where to mount the tv on the wall in the living room(how it'd look best with the tv stand we had there. Again was helpful with the best placement for the tv in the game room even with the wall being shorter than the rest of the room and not really being directly across from the couch(our fault we have the couch centered under the window. His pricing is perfect and he has all the cables and hardware if needed. He works super clean and does a quick job w/o cutting corners(checks to make sure everything is secure and level..)
