I only needed one palm tree trimmed, and I wanted it done right before the open house for my home that was listed for sale. I contacted several tree trimming companies, but I couldn't get a prompt response. JP was the one who responded quickly. They did an excellent and very professional job trimming my palm tree, and the price was very reasonable. I was extremely satisfied with both the quality of their work and their customer service. I highly recommend JP Palms to anyone looking for reliable, professional, and reasonably priced tree trimming services! read more

When your husband says "he can cut the palm trees himself"... STOP! Call JP and his team and let the professionals handle it. I'm beyond impressed with their skills and courtesy. I got other cheaper quotes but the work here speaks for itself. If you're looking for the resort aesthetic, I highly recommend you go with these guys. Everyone was kind, efficient and super cool to deal with. I had been hesitant to have my palms pruned after a mediocre crew worked on my yard a few years ago but I'm glad I found reliable people now. They cleaned up after their work and even cleaned my pool. My canary palm needed the love. Thank you all so much! Before and after pix posted! read more

JP and his team did an amazing job with our palm trees. He made time for us before 4th of July for a party we were having. I'd give his 6 stars if I could! I recommend you all use him for your palms. He's awesome!!! read more

We would like to say a huge thank-you to JP Palms Treeing and their wonderful crew, Ozzi and Edwin, for pruning our palm trees today. They look absolutely beautiful, and the team did an outstanding job! We truly feel honored to have such a diligent, meticulous, and responsible crew working on our property. Their professionalism throughout the entire process was excellent. What impressed us most was their care and attention to detail during cleanup. They thoughtfully made sure both our front and back yards were clean, and even after they left, they returned to double-check the front yard and driveway--picking up small bits of debris by hand along the road in front of our home. It's rare to see such passion and pride in one's work. They genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their service. We feel very lucky to have them taking care of our palm trees and give them our highest recommendation. Excellent job! read more

We recently purchased a new home with a swimming pool and 8 Princess Palms behind it. We are new to both the pool and the palm trees. I called JP palms due to their many positive reviews. I wasn't disappointed. They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and charged us a fair price for the job. JP worked us into his very busy schedule as we suddenly had several huge pods open up. We were unaware that was even a thing. Soon the flowers from the palms were reeking havoc on our pool filtration system and 4 more pods were threatening to open up very soon as well. It was a nightmare! JP and his assistant did a fabulous job cleaning them up. Watching him climb those trees was really quite impressive. They finished the job fairly quickly even though they were battling yellow jacket attacks the whole time! Those wasps were showing no mercy, but both men kept working. JP suggested that in the future we hose the trees down to discourage wasps from building nests. He also taught us how to best care for our beautiful palms. I must say, now that we have Palms we are constantly noticing them when out and about. Ours look super healthy compared to most of the ones we see! JP now takes care of our palms twice a year, both to keep the palms healthy and to protect our pool filtration system. Thank you JP for not only doing such a beautiful job trimming the gals but also for educating us on how to properly take care of them You will be happy with this company. We highly recommend JP Palms. Kimberly read more

JP was quick to respond to my text message and set up an appointment right away to have my palms trimmed up. Ozzy and Edwin were very polite, professional, safe and contentious about cleaning up. They communicated with me very well and asked for permission before they did anything. Overall very happy with the service and results of how my palms were trimed. I would highly reccomend JPS palms! read more

If you suffer from a type A personality like I do, and have to do extensive research before having anyone work on your home, then look no further. These folks are extremely responsive, do top quality work and leave you nothing less than satisfied with their quality of work. I've attached the before and after pictures of our trees. The after pics don't do justice on how well they came out. The before pics don't show how badly they needed to be trimmed either! read more

Ozzy was incredible. I neglected my queen palm for years and it looked a mess. Ozzy got to work right on time and had my palm looking like a postcard picture in no time. Highly recommend for professional service. read more

I've used this service a total of 4 times. In the past I had good experiences. I got a quote for 6 trees. This was my home and is currently a rental property and I couldn't remember how many were still there. Apparently quote was from Google maps. I drove by and noticed there was only 4. I called to ask about the quote and JP was belligerent and rude. Saying he works hard and has never been to our property. The trees were overgrown etc... tress they had trimmed. A lot of Bs. Anyway use this guy at your own risk. Yeah and since you asked for a review before the call, here it is. read more

I've never had a tree get serviced from this particular company, but I wanted to share a story about JP and how he saved my wedding. In my cultural wedding, we use seeds from the queen palm to shower the bride and groom after they get married. The seeds are a symbolic part of the wedding. It must be a fresh pod from the tree with fresh seeds. If it were more than a couple weeks old it will be dried and withered, meaning you must get it a couple days before the ceremony. It was very difficult to find a pod, I've searched for months to find a good sized pod that would be the right age and size during the wedding. Most have withered or too small or too high. I called JP on a whim and told him my situation. He said that this is an odd request but he told me he can try his best to help me out because my story touched him. He said it won't be easy but he will call if he finds a Queen palm. Days had passed and my wedding is coming up, still no reply. He called me 2 days before the wedding and told me that there's a possibility that that he could get me a large pod from the palm tree. They had just trimmed the queen palm! He text me and said that it was available! JP's business was closed for the weekend because he was going out of town, he put his trip on hold so I would be able to drive to Tracy and pick up the pod after work, he waited and gently loaded it in my car. If it wasn't for JP, I would not have the cultural wedding with this very important ceremony. I really appreciate it and he is a very genuine person. It's been two years now and I've always wanted to say THANK YOU JP!! read more

All I can say is Wow!! We've lived in our home for 12 years. I've had different gardeners trim the palm fronds and have also done it myself. I had no idea of how to really trim a palm tree. I asked JP to trim a queen palm and 2 canaries. The crew showed up and were pretty quick and did a pretty good job. The issue is that they cut too deep on one canary, cutting into the core and creating an eyesore in the base of the trunk. They left and said nothing. I texted him a few days later, showing him the issue. He eventually apologized and promised to maintain that tree for free. Given the premium that he charges, I thought that was a good resolution. I have texted him 3 times recently, asking for a trim and he said he can't do it because he's short handed. He has since ghosted me and will not answer my texts. Do yourself a favor, find someone else that is willing to stand by his work and his word. JP isn't. read more

Just had JP's Palm services out for a couple of palms that needed a good trimming, and I can truly say I'm extremely happy with their services! They were very polite, professional, prompt, and really took their time and care with the trees. Ozzy was the one who did the work, and JP came out to check on him, and with me throughout process, always making sure everything was to our liking. They were not very kind and knew what they were doing. We will definitely be giving them a call again in about 6 months for the maintenance. Highly recommend JP's Palms to anyone considering their services! read more

When we bought our house a couple years back, we loved the neighbors behind us had some tall palms trees along the fence. We weren't big fans of the giant, ugly palm in the front yard of our house. JP took quick care of that problem. He came out and took the tree down, got the stump out, and did an amazing job. He was easy to get in touch with and was very easy to do business with. Couldn't be happier! read more

Unbelievable service! They were available when I needed them, and actually showed up! We have had several different companies cut our trees in the past, but clearly they were done improperly. Today with knowledge & expertise, they were the prettiest I have seen them since we moved here 16 years ago- seriously! They actually climb, fertilize, care and share their smarts on trees for their best life. Will never go anywhere else and have shared on Facebook with pictures and confidence to not lead my friends wrong. Try them!!!! read more

JP's overall rating is representative of the work he and his team did to my queen palms. I have 6 palms that needed trimming & maintenance and I am very pleased with the results of his work... Definitely looks better now than it ever did. JP was also very helpful and answered all my questions. He even gave me advice on how to properly water my palms to ensure they grow greener. They were professional, respectful, efficient and cleaned up after their work. We will be enjoying our outdoor space this summer looking at well trimmed Palm Trees, thanks to JP & Team! read more

These guys manicured (skin & trim) a 30' Canary Island Date palm for me as well as two Mexican Fan palms last weekend. They arrived on time with a great crew who were professional and demonstrated that they have exceptional skill when it comes to shaping trunks smooth and getting the pineapple at the top perfect. Pricing was extremely reasonable and the outcome could not have been better. I could not be happier with the outcome. Fantastic work fella's, thank you so much! read more

Cannot say enough about them! Very clean and very knowledgeable. We have tons of palm trees in our yard and now they look amazing . They trimmed and cleaned up and worked quickly. Will be calling them back to cut down 2 palms bc their pricing is amazing! read more

Horrible experience and the worst communication. First off he gave me a bogus quote, then wanted to charge way more than I've paid in the past after the job was done. However- the BIGGEST issue was they broke my electric gate and didn't let me know! They tried to even hide the fact that they broke it. This is a very dishonest business! They basically were cutting my palm branches over my electric gate fence, which they could have asked me to shut or they could have took precautions so branches weren't falling on my gate. They did neither and broke my gate! I caught them on my cameras trying to put a piece back on the gate that they clearly broke at the welding from a fallen palm branch. I guess they figured we wouldn't notice how it got broke. Luckily I have camera on the property and when I confronted JP about it; his response was, "so you aren't going to pay me?" Seriously! This is how this business owner handles property damage? He never apologized or even admitted to breaking the gate, or trying to hide it, even after I sent him video proof of the damage. He didn't even respond. Then a week later asks me to get paid again. I said I'd have to get my gate fixed first, so I had to spend time finding someone to repair my gate. I paid him less the cost to fix my gate as it should be. I should'nt have paid him at all because of his lack of good communication on the quote, basically charging me way more than my budget. He should have given me a quote in writing explaining options, etc before starting on the project. So be sure you get everything in writing because you could end up paying 2 to 3 times more when you are done. Be sure you are also there to supervise them or have camera because they have no respect for any property damage they cause. I would steer clear, they are way over priced anyway and unprofessional. There are cheaper and better quality options out there in the area!! Ask me and I'm happy to point you in a better direction. read more

Where do I start with this company. JP Palms service may have the worst customer service ive dealt with. He has no showed 3 times in three weeks. And when I mean no show, I mean he schedules me for Wednesday at 7am. Didn't show up, and failed to respond to my messaged until later that night. And repeated this not twice, but three times. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he did a decent job last year. Icing on the cake. During the first quote, he asked that I buy his team lunch when they came to do the job. I ordered pizzas and he no showed, so I was stuck with that also ‍ Fast forward to today (He no showed with his crew again yesterday, said the climber didn't show up). He messaged me letting me know he could no longer do the job because he quoted me too little and made even more excuses. Please save yourself the headache with this company. read more
