The first time was done in Houston 4-years ago at a cost of 30% more. VIP ability to remove blemishes and wear from the Houston intense heat greatly exceeded my expectations. More importantly their knowledge of what can be perfected and what cannot really impressed me. I am so satisfied I will be taking a 2018 Mustang to him in Sept. THANK YOU VIP. Matt is an absolute angel!!…read more The steep pitch of the Ichiban exit (yes I was driving at a normal speed and yes others have had the same trouble! - but no, the restaurant hasn't fixed it ) caused my car to bottom out and knocked my bumper RIGHT OFF!! We heard a bang and a scrape so immediately pulled over in to the first parking lot, which happened to be Vaughn's Automotive. We called the 24 hour emergency number and Matt came right over to help us! He patched us back together so we could safely drive until we can get a more full repair. He was competent, he was kind, he was helpful, and he was funny ... he took a bad situation and made it as good as we could've hoped for. This is a great and honest and kind man! You can feel confident about placing your trust in him! I drove from Rockford to visit my daughter and thanks to Matt, we still made it to line dancing!!

I was stranded at home with my 2004 BMW parked on the street across town since it stopped running…read moresmoothly. I thought I may have needed to have the engine replaced for thousands of dollars. Matt, the owner, picked me up at home, took me to the car, ran the codes, and figured out the issue was a loose air intake duct. He tightened that and my car was good to go! If I had gone to anyone else, like a BMW dealership, I'm sure they would have taken advantage and overcharged me for a simple fix. I'll be having all my cars worked on at Vaughn's. He's earned a lifetime customer. Best experience I've ever had with a mechanic... Honest and dependable! That's what you want in a mechanic shop and that's exactly what Matt and Vaughn's delivers!

I picked up there are 3 or 4 people, again they take my payment no explanation, In this situation, I would hope a Service Manager would explain the repairs and the options. I recently called to get my Tiguan appraised to see if the value justified the repairs or need investigate buying a new car. The Service Manager said I could make an appointment online or he would make the appointment. I ended the call. Do I want to work with a dealership that is clueless as McGrath? As a Sales Person, I would approach this entire Customer Experience differently. I am deciding if it is easier to go to another Volkswagen Dealer that respects me as a customer.

I had the opportunity to work with Ryan and George when unexpectedly having to purchase a new car…read more They both made this an easy process. There was a little hiccup although Ryan quickly resolved and even had a driver send a car from Marion to Dubuque for me! Ryan provided information and stayed true to his word - which is refreshing! The only real problem I had was Clay (finance) really pushed an extended warranty. My father and I had said no multiple times. He even brought in another person to try and sell the warranty. I understand trying to sell you something, although this was a little too pushy!! Even with that, I would definitely recommend anyone buying a car to see Ryan and George at McGrath! Overall, great experience!

Brought my truck in yesterday, oil change was fast, I mentioned did u take a look at the tail light? the man at desk said, you didn't say that. Are you telling me I that I am lying? The BIG problem is when scheduling you don't ask my name, number, or what I drive. Do you write ANYTHING down? maybe if you did, you would remeber specific requests. Very disgusted with service, Is it because I am a female? I ask a question, I get a blank stare, or a one word answer. Thanks a lot guys.. going somewhere else next time...

They left metal shavings every where that caused rust on the door hinges and caused issues with the windows rolling up and down, they didn't install the front windshield correctly and now there is a whistle, sliced the weather stripping on rear quarter glass and didn't admit to it, the roof molding pieces weren't installed in the right spot, there is a vibration from the sun roof cover, after repair there is a rattle in the rear end (same thing happened after taking my previous car there). After taking my husbands truck for repair after hail damage, they didn't realign the hood correctly. All three parties dealt with this. All are trustworthy and told me it needed a minor repair like a muffler. Big A Auto told me the entire under area of car had been messed up from someone who didn't know what they were doing. He said it'd be $2,000 to fix it. At the time I thought maybe the college driver had let someone work on it so I paid it. My mistake as I didn't take time to think it thru. I know the folks I bought it from were honest and long time friends. Big A lied. They showed me of a fuzzy gray video t was supposed to be the problem area but of course it meant nothing to me and was just part of the deception. I will never go back to Big A again. Since I am an older woman needing the service I think they felt they could lie to me about the car.
