I already had a quote and asked if it could be taken care of on the spot or would there be a wait to order parts. He informed me they could get it done right away. There was a turn because almost 2 hours later I had to go to the register and ask what the problem was. The manager James was just as hospitable as Chris and this put me at ease. I explained my issue and he did everything to remedy the situation. I am HUGE on customer service, so even though I had to wait, I didn't mind because I saw how each of their employees interacted with the customers. I myself interacted with 3 people that day and each of them were respectable. The only thing that prevented this from being a 5 star review is the failure to communicate the issue with finding the correct part, otherwise great job!

They determined the issues centered around several issues related to the compressor and adjacent parts (receiver dryer and expansion valve). To fix it, they wanted to charge over 1300$ for parts and labor -- on an A/C compressor kit, labor, refrigerant, and recover/recharge. For parts, they wanted to charge $776 for the compressor kit. The exact same part (by item #) costs anywhere between 407$ and 573$ locally. For labor, the estimate was $348. For comparison, AAA estimates $191 (average) for labor in this area for the same fix. That rate equates to $125 - $160 per labor hour, depending on the estimated hours. I'm suspect that for normal oil changes and routine maintenance, they are probably good. But, I am glad I declined the major repairs.

I remember when cars was damage there was no hesitation in taking care of the customer's issue. 6 years later, I do not know what happened to that standard. I have never heard of a company providing bad oil for vehicles and then not having any accoutnability for it. My mechanic advised that the oil was extremely bad. Both my vehicles engines have gone bad behind the oil provided by Take 5 and the manager talked to my wife soooo disrespectful about this situation, i will never take my car to Goo-Goo car wash, Take 5 or any other company associated with Driven Brands. I usually wouldn't put this type of review but when your manager dodges any accountability, talks to my wife crazy and then accuse me of sabotaging my own cars, there is nothing else to talk about. These folks care more about their bottom line than doing the right thing. There is no excuse. If I could give a 0 star I would. I will be filing a BBB report and I will not be letting this go. Your managers need to be fired and your quality of oil has caused issues to more than just my cars and the reviews from FL and the other area stores have similar stories to mine. Your quality of oil is crap from top to bottom and the level of care for your faithful customers is crap. If you want to make sure your car gets good service and good oil, do not come to Take 5. Here's just a few things relayed to me over the phone: 1) said "...the washer fluid was full of "gunk""- Two nights earlier I put Rain-X washer fluid in the reservoir myself. Probably was not used to see quality stuff before. 2) said "...the fuel system needed to be flushed out". How the heck do they know at a quick-lube place? 3) said "...the rear differential oil smelled "burnt"". Thank you, but I doubt it (see numbers 1 and 2). Simply stated, if you know nothing about cars, stay away from this place. Go to somewhere like Wal Mart where they are not paid on commission...which is where I told my son to go in the first place. Unfortunatly this place got me pretty good. Long story short, I agreed to pay them $130 to see if…read moremy exhaust manifold were bad or leaking (diagnostic). Afterwards I agreed to pay them $2100 to have my entire exhaust pipe replaced, including both exhaust manifolds. I arrive to pickup my truck about 4 days later, I pay them and go home to check over their work. It looks like they replaced the manifolds, but they used the old hardware for the manifolds. Then you can clearly see the manifolds attaching to my old red, brown and rusty exhaust pipe. Then at the very end of my exhaust pipe (That was supposed to be replaced) they asked a 2 year old to weld this skinny exhaust tube to my old exhaust pipe. Im an honest and nice guy. Common, I seriously cant trust anyone now days. Very sad. Now watch them type some silly response to this. "Oh my goodness sir, were so sorry this miscommunication happened, please call our office at 706-327-2114" I am such an idiot. Please read over reviews before you go with a company. Look over the work before you pay.
