Called Sheffield because another Soldier had work done by them and had great things to say. Talked to Terry and he was honest that it would be a few days before he could look at it and that he mainly focuses on foreign cars ( I Have a Ford Truck) but would still give it a look and if he could fix it he would work with me. They weren't able to work on my truck but recommended me to someone else who were a live saver. They didn't charge me for the diagnostic as they did take the time to look and do their part which was generous of them and are honest workers. I took my Honda Odyssey in for a timing belt replacement last week. Sheffield quoted me a price of $850 which was almost $500 lower than Autonation and the customer service Sheffield extended was top notch. We told them about some other noises we were hearing in the car and they check and found that some parts needed to be tightened. They didnt charge me for anything extra. I highly recommend having these guys provide maintenance for your vehicle. They are honest and do great work. I was relying on the BMW dealership for an issue I had been having with my car for about 4 and 1/2 months. I had taken my car to the BMW dealership three separate times over the 4+ months in an attempt to get the car repaired (it shook when starting the car and when idling +/- an occasional large puff of white smoke when starting the car). Each time I picked up my vehicle from BMW, the car still shook when idling and still had a puff of occasional white smoke. I also left each time with a bill of near $1000. At one time the BMW dealership told me they didn't know what was wrong with my car. Yet they continued to charge me each time the same diagnostic fee ($100) and the fee for what they had decided to replace in an attempt to repair the car. Due to recommendation from a colleague, I called Sheffields Automotive. Tim (co-owner) told me to come by right then so he could take a look at the car. He ran the diagnostics on the vehicle for free ($100 at BMW) and told me what was wrong with my car immediately. Got me in the next business day for repair. They even dropped me at work before 8 am and picked me up at 1700 to take me back to Sheffields to pick up my car. I would never have known about this place had it not been recommended to me. I just had the most outstanding service from this company and I will never go to the BMW dealership again for anything. Sheffield's was professional, honest and demonstrated a high level of expertise in their field. They never treated me like a dumb female and made me feel like a valued customer although it was my first visit. I had previously (and foolishly) went to the dealership for the same problem. The dealership took 4 hours to just clear sensors that were a design flaw built in to make you take it to them for repair AND the dealership charged me $900! Sheffield's cleared the sensors in less than 30 minutes, gave me advice on future maintenance and the bill was exceptionally reasonable!!! It is nice to know there are automotive repair companies in this town that know the meaning of great customer service. While my car was on this property for minor repairs it was broken into. Being be my third car there was nothing it it to steal. The owner was rude. On Friday August 14, my stepfather took vehicle to Sheffield automotive for repairs. Wednesday, August 19 I was advised the tech that works on my model vehicle was ill. I arranged to pick up the car the following day. Thursday August 20 I received a call someone broke into my vehicle while on their property. When arriving at the location, a man claiming to be there owner named Tim advised they would not be responsible and they'd already filled a police report. He showed no empathy or compassion and was very rude in delivering the message he would not be paying for any repairs not did he offer and referral to whom could repair my vehicle. I was given a business card and my keys to leave. I in turn attempted to file another police report with my version of events and file a formal complaint. When my mother called the company the 'owner' was beyond rude and not only disconnected the line twice, he offered NO assistance and he did not take the complaint. I would like a formal apology and reimbursement for the repairs my vehicle incurred while at your establishment. This business owner 'Tim' is beyond difficult to deal with, offers no resolution and is borderline racially and sexually bias. read more

The guys at Sheffield are the old school kind of guys that say if I do a good job for a fair price, people will keep coming back. I have found them to be extremely honest and always get what I need done as quickly as possible. The shop is nothing to look at, but it's the work that counts. I found them on Yelp when my grandmother needed someone to look at her breaks, I am 2,000 miles away and not being there to take care of things like this kills me. They treated her like she was their mother. She is a nervous woman and there was a man there who held her hand while she cried over her car. I am so thankful that the people there took care of my Granny for me and assured her that she would be safe and taken care of. If you are going to a dealership in Columbus to get service you are likely paying too much and getting bare minimum work since there is no competition for dealers (if there is only one :insert brand here: dealer in town, why would they need to compete?). This place is a refreshing change. Great work, honest, and very reasonable prices. I have been taking my BMWs, Hondas, and Acuras here for almost ten years and have had nothing but great experiences. I am also a very knowledgeable gearhead and know how to replace brakes, clutches, transmissions, etc. myself, so I have a pretty high standard for mechanics. My husband and I had some issues with our BMW. After getting a new tire for the car, I took it to the dealership for an alignment. After the initial servicing, I was told that my tire rods were going to have to be replaced soon. The cost for that is close to 800 dollars. Shortly after, I noticed oil leakage. My father-in-law suggested Sheffield automotive. They worked on it, we thought the problem was fixed. I also sought out a second opinion on the tire rods. The owner Tim said my tire rods were fine. Unfortunately, the problem with our oil leakage still remained. But instead of trying to put me through a charade of repairs and charging me every time, Tim suggested a BMW master tech in AL. My master tech fixed my oil leak and told me that my tire rods were fine. What I really appreciate about Tim is he told me straight up about whether or not he can fix the issues with my car, service is great and I recommend them to any and everyone! read more

I pushed off getting my car maintenance light checked for over 2 months, including a road trip from Texas to Columbus because I had previously been screwed over financially by a mechanic (in a Texas). I finally took my car to Sheffield and was exceptionally pleased with their service, how quick my car was ready, and the price. I arrived 30 minutes late to my appointment and they were so nice to me and still took me in right away. Maybe about an hour later they let me know to come pick it up. They checked my light, changed my oil, checked my tire pressure and pumped them up along with numerous other things I never would have thought of. I just moved here, so my cash supply wasn't prepared for a hearty car bill. When they told me the bill I was shocked at how affordable it was.
