Unfortunately, the online images do not match the actual fabrics, and the quality is well below the prices they are asking. What I received does not at all look like what I ordered. A direct quote from Joybird customer service "it can be hard to get photos of all the fabrics we offer on all the items, especially if they are newer. In those instances, we use computer renderings of the fabric, which, unfortunately, aren't as accurate". After contacting customer service, I was lead to believe that if I submitted my details during the 14 day window, that there was an option to return the item. In the end, they denied a return/refund. An incredible waste of time, as well as misleading. Another note about the Lewis Loveseat: the main cushion for this item is canted, so it is higher & more filled in the back of the cushion, than in the front. The cushion causes you to slide forward, and the cushion itself does not stay in place...it also slides forward. Additionally, the cushion sinks where you sit, so anything you set beside you rolls to the low point. It also makes the loveseat very uncomfortable. I must mention the smell....this piece of furniture has the strongest off-gas of any piece of furniture I have ever purchased. 3 weeks, and it is still filling our house with a very toxic smell. Overall, a huge disappointment & not near the quality I was expecting. read more

I happened to be in NY this weekend on a trip from Boston and visiting the Joybird showroom in Brooklyn was a top priority. I had done my homework and had some key design questions. First person I met was Tyler, a prince of designers. He helped me make those decisions and showed me a new color swatch that works "way better" with my rug and chair than the one from I chose from the swatch book I had ordered. New, as in, came out last month. It was great to sit on the sofa model that I like. It is wider and more substantial than it looks which is a plus. Amazing to see 2D online in 3D reality and to have such great assistant from Tyler. Thank you. I look forward to the couch arriving. Such a smooth and pleasant transaction/interaction. The absolute BEST customer experience. We were greeted when we walked in Then allowed to browse for a few minutes before someone approached us. Cae came over and was so gentle and kind. She explained the showroom set up and told us to grab her with any questions. Then she let us shop in peace as a couple. Anytime we would approach her she knew exactly what we had been looking at and was able to just jump into what we were experiencing as if she had been in the conversation with us the whole time. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase, even encouraged us to 'shop' around when we told her it was our first stop. We then shopped around other showrooms and NONE of them treated us with such grace and courtesy. 7th Avenue has a similar feel, with velvet upholstery options. The sales there was so ontop of us and pushy we simply couldn't. We went back to joybird and immediately had a sigh of relief (and exhaustion from going showroom to showroom). It just felt like home. I wasn't available to inspect at time of delivery because I was on calls, but definitely should have. It's now over been a 6 month saga since our order date and after eventually returning the bed we still have not been refunded by Joybird. This place is a scam and should be shut down. read more

Wow we thought nice looking couch. And it is a nice looking couch . Except the smell of formaldehyde. I let them know heard nothing, until I called up about it.They told me they would replace the couch. Wow I thought great service. Except the ass didn't know what the elbow was doing . Turns out my delivery was from lazy boy and they didn't know anything about this transaction at all. 4 weeks later they bring another couch. Now here's my problem !!!! My first couch was stuffed correctly. The couch I have isn't . Max and a min amount. We have asked for a replacement seat but we are told to fluff it up. Word to the wise this is synthetic materials and stuffings there is no fluffing!!! They will not replace it because it's stuffed correctly to the minimum amount of batten . The seat looks like we have had it a year already. 3 months This couch was not cheap!!! The bottom rails keep falling off when we sit on the couch and we are not heavy by any standards.. Our advice get a company cheaper you can trust, they are not American made and if that's what your looking for find a better manufacturer , and better products . Here is the full, fair review of my experience with this company. Now that I have received my Lewis Sectional, I'm happy with it. The color is more gray than I expected, but it makes no difference to me. I do like the design, and it's a shame that their processes are so unreliable and terrible because I would love to order more things since I find their style very aesthetically pleasing. However, I will never ever purchase from this company again, and it's because of the ongoing delivery mistakes I experienced and frightening gaps in customer service, to the point where I believed I'd been defrauded for over 2 months. My order arrived on time in early September, but upon arrival, it was apparent they had delivered two different halves of two sectionals. They were oriented differently so they did not attach to each other. When I tried calling, no one answered, and I had to leave a callback number. Emails took days to respond. I managed to get someone on chat finally. When I did get an answer, they said they'd take a week to do an inventory search and ship a replacement part out if they couldn't find the other half of my couch. Two weeks later, there were no updates. I kept calling and emailing, and customer service became even less responsive. No one responded to my emails for over a week. They took away the callback function and required voicemails instead. The chat function never worked again after that one time--the only agent I could reach were sales agents (shocker). They helped as much as they could but obviously had limited info since this wasn't their purview. It became clear to me this is a company in chaos. For over a week, their phone lines were just...closed. No voicemail function, no callback function. An automated voice said they had company training and couldn't take calls. Which is absolutely unacceptable for a company dealing with multiple customers with multi-thousand-dollar mistakes on their hands. At this point, I was really panicking and believed I wouldn't be able to get my money back or have a real couch in my living room. After nearly two months of pestering these people through every channel imaginable, I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Lo and behold, I got a call that week with an estimated delivery date. I don't know if one caused the other, or if it was a coincidence. But that's the timing of what happened. A week or so after that, I got a shipping update. Shipping took longer than expected but now, 2 months and 2 days after I received the incorrect order, I finally have my full Lewis Sectional and am happy with it. They offered me a $140 discount, and I took it. I believe it should be more of a discount, but i was not interested in fighting further, especially because I have the item I wanted. I want to make it clear that every individual I did speak with was very nice to me. These are clearly larger management & delivery issues, and it's a shame that customer service reps and delivery people have to take the brunt of customer anger. The most frightening part of this experience is that you make a giant purchase and then find it impossible to speak to anyone in real time. You have to send emails or leave voicemails and wait to be reached out to. They did get better at reaching out to me quickly in late October. Wait times were shorter. But for purchases worth thousands of dollars, you really need to be providing live support. I like my couch. I hated the shopping experience. I will not be buying again from Joybird. I recommend looking elsewhere, but if you absolutely must have one of their items, be prepared for dodgy customer service and a myriad of problems. read more

Lillian was taking care of me when I was purchasing a couch and she was amazing! Super friendly and knowledgable. And I love the program that lets them render your living space to see how everything fits and what it will look like. As an added bonus too, I didn't realize y'all can also help design the rest of your interior as well which I will definitely work with Lillian on when I'm ready! We were willing to wait because we had done our research and this was one of the top rated couch companies to buy from. We spent over $3k on this couch and here we are less than a year from purchase and it's totally fallen apart. MAJOR PILLING, SINKING, WRINKLING - I'm extremely disappointed. I had a couch just like this one from Crate and Barrel that was less money and lasted 10+ years. Should have just purchased from them, and they always stand by their products/replace them if defective. SUPPORT IS ALSO HORRIBLE!!! Try getting in touch with someone and it literally takes weeks. I had been wanting a Joybird sofa since the company first started, before bought out by Lazy Boy. The reason I didn't get one early on is because there were no showrooms and the sofas were literally delivered in a box to your doorstep because they were online only. I walked into my first showroom about a month ago, got home and ordered one finally. Turns out it's one of the most cheaply made, uncomfortable sofas I have ever had and I've had many. I had to buy a support board to put under the bottom cushions because it's so . The cushions have the cheapest quality, I don't even know what you call it Inserts. If I were to keep it, I would have to take the cushions to an upholsterer and have them properly stuffed. I got a custom color so joy bird wont take it back. I'm debating right now whether I should sell it and buy another from another company. I'm so disappointed. Do not buy a Joybird sofa is my advice, look elsewhere! read more

My wife and I needed a sleeper sofa for guests and found one we liked on Joybird. The shipping estimate said we would receive our sofa in about six weeks, which sounded reasonable for a custom built sofa in a fun color. Before placing our order we checked out some reviews, which turned out to be one horror story after another about extremely delayed shipping and nonexistent customer service. We loved the color so we crossed our fingers and placed our order. I called a couple of times in advance of our delivery date to check on order status. I got right through and was given detailed shipping information. Our sofa was delivered within a couple days of the originally stated delivery date. It was delivered in excellent condition and the delivery service brought it into our house, set it up, and removed all the packaging. We love how the sofa looks. The color matches what was promised. Clearly, many other people had issues with Joybird. But we would recommend them! (There appears to be a white circular mark on the sofa in the bottom left corner of the attached photo. That's just lens flare. There is no mark on the sofa.) read more

The thousands you pay this company doesn't give you a good quality product or even good service. Go somewhere else! I purchased this product 12/3/20. I received this couch February 3, 2021 and it has been nightmare since. I purchased the Bryant L-Sectional (4 piece). It had a lot of loose threads upon arrival that I had to cut. I expected some because it was a new product, but not as much as it had. This wasn't a big deal but I provided the feedback when I had my first true issue of the couch seats. Joybird said quality control clips the loose threads... they did a terrible job. Perhaps they are blind? The cushions were not filled evenly and it is noticeable. I requested this be fixed. They tried really hard not to help with this issue and I had to persist with pictures of measuring tape showing the significant difference in size. They sent a technician after and it didn't resolve the issue. The tech basically tried to pull apart the filling and make it appear like it was full but really it doesn't help when you sit on the couch. You can feel the significant difference of sitting on one seat to the next. And here is the worst part of this product... the feet of the couch have permanently stained my brand new floor. The feet have left these round pink/red chemical stains. It left several of them. I am LIVID. My previous $400 couch lasted years and was a better quality product and it absolutely did not ruin my floors with the feet. Customer service had the audacity to send me an email blaming the delivery company for the damage to my floor. And when I called them out for blaming the delivery company and not taking responsibility for their product they said "oopsie, here is a link to our warranty request form." And now I am waiting to see how they plan to resolve this issue. Also, customer service is lazy. I use to work for an ecommerce company in customer service and I at least filled out the warranty pages for my customers once I received their complaint and reviewed it. I made sure their issues went to the correct place to help resolve the issue. Here they send me JB Hunt's email and try to blame their product issue on their delivery. And then when I call them out they send me a link to re-write and fill out what I already sent them. I already sent my woes and video/photo evidence. If your company already has the information then you can provide it to the correct person to review it at your company. And their representatives don't see the issue through. I get a new rep responding to the same email thread. Delegate one point of contact until the issue is resolved so you customer is properly advocated for the whole way through. Also, discovered today, Joybrid sent an email offering $25 for your review. I wrote a review and they disabled my review or my capabilities to view the reviews in my account. They also did not honor in providing the $25. Shady and unprofessional company. I really wanted to like this company with my investment and the excitement of purchasing a new "quality" product.. When I moved in with my wife, we were broke and thus bought the cheapest couch we could find that fit the space. Over the years pets, friends, and babies have taken their toll and we're in the market for a new one now that we're slightly less broke. Joybird has some very nice stuff in this showroom, including a couch I may actually pull the trigger on. I am definitely a little apprehensive about it, although my wife assures me that big nice sectional couches absolutely cost $2-3,000 these days. I'm afraid if I pay this much for a couch I will: 1. Not be able to afford to eat for a while. 2. Become one of those psychos that freaks out at their friends/kids when they spill things, whereas now I am a very relaxed man that will throw beer on our current destroyed couch to assure someone that it is fine that they spilled beer themselves. But I really do like the design of a lot of the stuff in here, not to mention the nice people staffing the store as well. There are a lot of perks about Joybird; you can customize what you buy with their different fabrics, and they offer a full year return policy...which sounds crazy, honestly. So full disclosure, I haven't bought anything yet...but the showroom is awesome, the people are helpful, the policies seem good...I'll let you know how it goes when I do. read more

I was told by customer service that they have changed the manufacturing of the daybed I ordered and it was not the same quality as before. Wish I had known that before spending $3000 on it! She was gracious and subdued which is the type of service my wife and I enjoy. She allowed us to survey the showroom, checking in on us occasionally. Terrible company, do not order. They don't answer the phones, don't return voicemails, and don't even email other than auto responses from bots. Plus their stuff is junk. Looks nice but it's cheap and poorly constructed. I spent a lot of money on a bunch of furniture and most of it was delivered messed up. This was the third time I've purchased from Joybird, and every experience has been excellent! My first purchase, a Preston sofa and ottoman, helped fill a large void in my living room; they look amazing, and they're exactly what I needed for my space. I made this purchase in person at the showroom on Capitol Hill, in Seattle, WA, and the salesperson was very knowledgable, helpful, and friendly (unfortunately, I don't remember their name). My second purchase was a Lenette swivel chair and an area rug, to complete my living room. I made this purchase online, and it was super easy. Finally, just yesterday I went back to the showroom and purchased an Eliza bedroom set (bed, dresser/chest, nightstand). Big thanks to Ernesto! I can't wait for it to arrive. I got great deals on all three purchases, saving tons with some of their flash sales (I saved over $1,800 on the bedroom set).
