I am glad someone put this "salon" on yelp.
This place does not deserve higher than three stars and do not trust the reviewers that only have 1 friend and it's their first review. They are being paid to write it.
Let me tell you that I have been coming here since I was five years old. My family and I came here because she was Korean and she lives so close in proximity.
Honestly, I don't know why I kept coming. I've seen all of her "moods" and the way she treats her customers. One time I arrived for a haircut and asked for a specific number and length for my hair. She said okay with annoyance and she did not listen. She almost made me bald and kept saying it looked great. I felt something wet near my ear, turns out it was blood. There is no way a scissor can pierce through skin that easily unless she was cutting my hair out of anger. I still can't believe I couldn't feel that deep a cut. That happened when I was a child and I couldn't yelp it at the time. She whispered in my ear and literally said "don't tell your mom". She made me pinky promise and gave me a candy to keep quiet.
On more than one occasion she would swipe my credit card and tip herself 5 dollars, all without my knowledge.
Another time, when I had really bad acne as a junior in college, she kept persuading my mom to get me "these products that are really good". I kept telling my mom to not listen to her and that the products contained ingredients that were too harsh for my sensitive skin. She said something in Korean to my mom that was too high in vocabulary for me to understand. She tricked my mom into spending over 100 dollars and the products only made my skin worse.
This salon produced so many bad memories for me as a child and even as an adult and I can finally write it all here on yelp.
She is not a genuine person and all she cares about is your money. Her smiles and laughs are all fake.
She will treat you nicely if it's your first haircut, but keep coming and see for yourself.
I might sound really harsh, but my experiences are the truth. Don't worry she is making enough money to stay afloat and under the radar for 10 years. Don't let the cheap prices fool you though. You might have better experience from an actual salon. read more
