I've been coming here since 2018, she gives me the best haircuts I've ever had and I'll never trust anyone else with my hair!! As long as you explain what you want or have reference photos she will do you right every time!! read more

Great place to get your haircut. I have really straight hair so it's not easy to find a barber that can cut and fade it well. She also shampoos and styles your hair. She is a very nice lady and has great prices, especially compared to the places I've been to in ktown or sgv. If it's your first time it might be hard to spot the building. She has parking through her small driveway in the back but you can also park on the street. The interior and her setup is very nice and clean. read more

I got lucky to get a same day appointment on a Sunday. I'm not really sure what haircut I want as long as it will suit my face, and I'm so happy with the result. I asked if they provide hair treatment.. once again, I got lucky that his son Andy is also available to provide the service. Even got a consultation on hair color, which will definitely be back for it. The salon from outside looks unappealing, but when you get inside, it's clean, simple, and nice. It is an impulse decision for me to get a haircut and try this place, and I'm glad I did. I am so thankful and happy for the experience. Left the place with gorgeous, soft hair. Will post pictures when I get the color done. read more

For many reasons I would not recommend this place! Not only was I charged $50 for a haircut- )no hair wash). She cut my hair in Every way I told her Not to! I told her no blunt cut or V in the back - I got not only a V but uneven and choppy! I asked for my layers to go up to my chin the go to my shoulders! I asked her to just make sure my bangs were EVEN... she cut them SHORTER! I not look like a CHINA DOLL!! And then she says Cash only! Thankfully I had my friend with me . Believe me this is the short version!! DO NOT GO HERE! Plus park in her backyard that looks like a junkyard. read more

Selina puts great and careful effort into her haircuts. I got a men's haircut from her, and I wasn't sure what to get exactly, so I just showed her a picture from the internet. She could tell that I wasn't sure about the length, so she asked me questions that helped both of us figure out exactly what I was looking for. I would definitely come back! read more

This place is great the service is wonderful. She did a wonderful job cutting my hair I love it.

Good services and flexible booking time. Always come here as choices. Nice style as requested.

Truly a hidden gem. I drive by this shop all the time but have never noticed it due to the inconspicios appearance of the outside. I probably would've continued to do so if it weren't for yelp. Pretty much since I've moved to Pomona, I have been in search of a barber who's skilled in the usage of both clippers and scissors. My mind was blown upon entering by the stunning beauty and vibe that radiated from the interior of the shop that was masked by the inconspicious appearance of the building from the outside. Prior to discovering Kang's beauty salon, I always left with uneven layering of the longer parts of my hair with a clean fade or a good scissor job along with a bad fade job. With this shop, you get the best of both worlds. As if that in itself is not already rare enough, to my utter surprise she even gave me symmetrical sideburns. Customer service is excellent. The lady not only takes her time to get the nitty gritty details, she offers a complimentary wash and rinse at the end. For the price range, I have yet to find any shops that come close to matching the quality of service that this place has provided. I will most definitely be returning here for all my future cuts. With that said, I highly recommend this shop to males and females of all ages. read more

Just went there today after made an appointment on the phone. The overall experience was great and Mrs. Kang was super friendly and professional. Don't let the exterior fool you. The interior was super clean and spacious. I will definitely go there again. Men's cut was $20 if you want to know before you make an appointment. It was well worth it since I am the only customer inside. You will not be disappointed! read more

First off this lady is super super super sweet. Honestly cannot like think of anything bad to say about the experience and the cut she gave me was amazing. Like, you know how sometimes you'll get a haircut and you really gotta give it a couple of days to appreciate and grow to be okay with? Well this has to be the first haircut where that didn't happen. I love the cut she gave me and she really listened to everything I wanted done. Definitely coming back here when I need another cut! read more

This place was so easy to find and she was so nice! There was no wait time as I called to make an appointment before hand that same day. I was pretty scared to get my hair cut very short but I'm extremely happy with the results! I'd definitely recommend her, super accommodating too. Worth the $30 for a haircut! read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to getting my hair cut. I actually do not tolerate poor haircuts. My hair stylists are Koreans, usually because of their knowledge of hair style trends. Coming to Pomona, I used to return to San Diego to get my haircuts. After my regular hair stylist moved away from San Diego, I could not find a good a hair stylist in San Diego. Thus, I resorted to finding one in Pomona. After thorough searches, I found Selina in Kang's Beauty Salon. Selina does everything catered to your haircut. She is very kind and caters to your hair styling desire. Feel free to interrupt her and provide your own sense of adjustments to your hair. Your hair will be washed/massaged. She is Korean and can understand English. Men's haircuts are $15. She provides a card for every 9 haircuts, you get one free. You can park in the back lot. The salon is extremely clean. Be sure to call ahead of time to make sure she's free. She is not open on Mondays, but every other single day she is usually open. I have recommended her to my friends and will continue do so. She has exceeded my expectations on every haircut. I am grateful I have found someone who can cut my hair to my own preferences and style. Thank you Selina!!! ----------------------------------------------------- For men, if you want to keep your style of hair looking proper and classy, cut your hair every 4-6 weeks. (Don't do the same mistake I did and get a haircut every 2-3 months/8-12 weeks. You'll look back into your pictures and regret why your hair didn't look good!) They most important key to styling men's hair is the DIRECTION you blowdry your hair. I repeat, to properly style your hair, you need to blowdry the right DIRECTION. That means if you want your sides to go down, blowdry downwards. If you want the top of your hair to be stuck up, then properly blowdry the top area of your hair upwards. For hairpsrays, use Tigi Bed Head Hair Spray over Tresemme Two Extra Hold. For hair wax, I have used green/black/purple Gatsby, American Crew, Gel, Tigi Bed Head Wax, and will say KMS California HairPlay Molding Paste ranks supreme and the best. read more

I used to go to Ktown for hair cut but now I moved to Montclair and don't want to drive a hour to get a cut. Used Yelp search and found this place just down the street, only 2 miles away from me. Called and she was very nice and told me to stop by. A nice little shop (street parking) easy to find. I want to trim my hair and she gave me some suggestions on the style. I love it! She knows how to cut hair to fit my face shape. I look slimmer :) I will def. come back! read more

I've never been so happy with my haircut. At first I was skeptical due to the location but wow dont judge a book by its cover. She did amazing and she was so kind and patient. I did bangs for the first time and I did not regret it. She did it exactly how I wanted. Definitely coming back. read more

Mrs. Kang closes up shop @ 7pm. I was in the area looking for any open barber for my son and I found her on yelp around 655pm; immediately called her and she still picked up very politely and didn't mind at all to cut my son's and/or mines as well. Came through and first and overall impressions are: 1. Clean looking shop from the inside. 2. A+ customer service/very polite. 3. A little pricey for my son's fro-hawk, but her style was 5/5 and well worth the $15 + tip Overall 5 stars because she was very courteous yet very professional with my son and I. I would definitely return if I'm ever in this area again. read more

She ruined my hair! I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she said yes she can do it. Turns out She didn't know how to make a balayage... She bleached the bottom half of my hair and left a harsh line across my head. She should stick to hair cuts only. read more

Got a men's haircut today & she was amazing! Was very receptive to the style that I wanted and even made sure to check my photo example multiple times. When I asked the small changes, she did it without hesitation & even offered her professional advice. You also get a nice shampoo after and the price is extremely affordable so of course I had to leave a tip. Loved it and will definitely be back! The parking is in the back so you might miss it at first read more

Found this place on yelp and tried because of reviews. I agree 5 stars; she knows how to cut and style to modern asian trends. I got male cut for $15 (included hair wash w/shampoo and wax style). Gave $5 tip. *Bring picture(s) of what you'll like and explain and she can pretty much cut it like that (depends on if your hair length is long enough for that style) *she doesnt speak too much english and is reticent, so be understanding as she is trying. If you speak korean, then its easy communication. Very very wonderful lady *clean atmosphere and professional work. Open: Tuesday to Sunday 930-7pm Closed: Monday Color cost is $50. Women long hair cut is $25. Women short hair cut is $20. read more

I have been to Kang's Beauty for haircut for the past 2 years and I definitely love it. The owner always does a really diligent job on the haircut and really cares about how her customers look. Male haircut is $15, which is a pretty decent price compared to other places. The owner is Korean and really nice and friendly. Make sure to call first or make an appointment before you go there because it gets crowded sometimes. read more

I love Mrs. Kang. I have been going to her for about three years now. I was looking for someone who could do Asian hair. My hair is difficult because it is coarse and has loads of cow licks. She spends a lot of time on your hair and she wants you to look great. I've always left loving my haircut. It also grows out very well. She is very reasonable, so give her a good tip. I haven't been able to go for months because of Covid, but once things settle down, I will definitely be back. read more

This place is such a hidden gem! The exterior and surroundings may give you pause, but don't be fooled. Selina is a total pro and may just give you the best haircut of your life. I've been to so many barbers in Pomona/Claremont/Glendora and always came away less than pleased. Selina took her time, checked in regularly to make sure I was happy with her progress, and washed my hair afterward so I wouldn't be shedding all day--all for $15! I've found my forever stylist and just might convert my wife as well. read more

This place smelled disgusting. Never again will you see me there. I made an appt at 11:30 for a cut I get there and the only worker was working on what looked like color. Two men waiting. She asked me to sit, very friendly. I tried and waited and the smell was unbearable so I walked out. read more

I'm mixed but my hair is still asian enough that I really need someone who is good at cutting asian hair. Selina did a GREAT job. exactly what I wanted!!! She was sooo nice too! She really took her time to make sure that the cut was completely even. Tips/disclaimers: -she primarily speaks korean and is a little shy about her english skills, so don't expect a roaring conversation while you're in the chair (unless you speak korean of course =) ) -CASH ONLY. I was lucky enough that my haircut (about 1 hr from start to finish) was only $30 (even though i had reallly long hair), and happened to have the cash on me for the tip too -Parking: the location is pretty sketch. there's a little tiny driveway on the side of the building so you can park in the back. otherwise, you can be like me and park on the street. read more

Came to this place based on Yelp review since I was trying to find a stylist closer to home.
