The aesthetician Leah working here destroyed my face. Fibroblast gone wrong... I got Fibroblast done here and unfortunately, the results were horrible. I now have more damage to my skin than when I started. Leah sprayed over wrinkles and it ended up making them deeper and more visible, the burn marks were to deep and left holes in my face with black spot scares deep in my skin, not to mention it caused lots of hyper pigmentation all over my face and around my eyes I now look like I have freckles everywhere, which I did not have before. I posted the photos on a FB group of how the treatment was done the day after and I had over 150 comments saying this treatment was done VERY WRONG. I showed this to Leah and she assured me that she did it correctly and was properly trained, but I'm having a hard time believing the girl that trained her had any clue what she was doing because my skin is now permanently damaged. Leah offered to try and help correct it with a jet plasma pen but many people said I need to wait eight weeks before I do that treatment or it's going to cause more damage which Leah did not know either. I asked to wait the 8 weeks and now she doesn't want to give me the treatment she offered me. Leah gave some a professional grade chemical peel to do at home but I found out the chemicals in this product could also cause more damage so I never was use to use that. I'm now going to have to get thousands of dollars of treatment and waste more of my time trying to correct my skin. I explained this to Leah and asked for a refund or if she had any insurance that could help with the next treatments I'm going to need to get and she refused. Lizzo said she would charge me around 320$ , she charged me 400$. I didn't realize I was overcharged because I only slept for 3 hours. Once I did I figured oh no big deal I'm sure she'll refund me the difference Nope. She said my wife's hair took too long and took too much bleach , I mean she's the stylist shouldn't she know? I called in yesterday and made a last minute appointment with Lizo. I'm so grateful she was able to take me in and was so kinda about me booking towards the end of the day. My hair hasn't been professionally cut in about 3 years so it needed a lot of work. Lizo and I discussed what I wanted and how I typically style my hair to make sure that I got a cut that worked for me. She did an amazing job! My hair hasn't felt this soft in years. I finally found a place and a stylist I want to keep going back to. This place is great. They have a barber shop side and a salon side. They do both women and men's hair amazing. My boyfriend went there on my recommendation and only gets scissor cut looks and the stylist ( don't know who it was) did amazing. I have gone a few times and the the Joey has done everything I have asked and its always comes out perfect. He is not done till you are totally happy. She literally had no idea how to do my hair, had to ask a co-worker what product to use, and had to borrow a diffuser! How can you claim you do curly hair if you don't even have the right hairdryer!?! 2. My co-workers proceeded to remind me that I had dye on my face (thinking they were helping, but it was too late) I walked out, halfway dry and completely frizzy, about 3 inches too short with side wings (curly hair, I don't think she realized how much it changes when dry), and with dye on my face and the wrong color to boot. I had orange hair due to my last stylist bleaching everything when I asked for a balyage. Yah, I don't know what she was thinking either. Anyway, long story short - I hated it, and I was a little jaded so I took my time finding someone else (translation: it took me 6 months to finally let someone else touch my hair). So glad I found Katie. She listened to me, talked me through everything, and in the end it came out gorgeous. I cannot explain how much I love my hair. Also, the price was right! First off, Katie did an amazing job! I've been struggling with finding a good hair stylist who can cut short hair in SoCal for the past 3 years. I've tried 4 different stylists and one was better than the other but I still wasn't getting the cut that my previously stylist had been doing. As many women, I'm very particular when it comes to my hair and had been going to the same stylist for nearly 18 years, until she moved (sigh) so I knew finding someone that is able to cut my hair to my liking wasn't going to be easy. I've had short hair for the past 8 years now so I'm not willing to compromise on a "just ok" haircut because my hair grows fast. I had recommendation from others for previous stylists but this time, i decided to trust YELP. @hairbyKatieNicole came up twice in my searches so I went for it and sent her a direct message via Instragram. She replied right away and was able to fit me in the following week. I chatted with her a little and she suggested we go over my preferences and offered a discounted rate since I was a first time client. Had nothing to lose and her IG pictures looked great so I went with my gut. From the get go, I was impressed with Katie. She asked me several questions and I explained what I wanted, didn't want and we went from there. She was very friendly, professional and attentive. Not to mention super careful with my hair and made sure I was ok with every section she cut before she moved on to the next. I was definitely excited to see the end product and for the first time in a long time, I walked out of the salon feeling great about my cut and style. I'm loving my hair again and highly recommend Katie for short styles. An A-line bob is my go to cut and she definitely impressed me with her styling skills. The prices are a little higher than what I'm used to but you definitely get what you pay for.
