I have been getting my haircut at Top Hair Design since January 2020. But I've known about this salon 30+ years ago when I was younger. I just went to other salons prior to 2020. Anyhoo, Bob is very professional and does an excellent job in cutting my hair. I haven't tried any of the other two female hair stylists who work there... but from what I've seen, they seem to be good, too. Yeah, I don't have much volume of hair so it doesn't take very long to cut. It's probably harder to cut for thin hair than thick hair... gotta be careful one doesn't cut too much off... my head may start looking bald... it's a good thing I have a stash of beanies LOL. I trust Bob and his haircutting techniques in sending me out the door looking like a million dollars. Due to COVID-19, haircut prices have gone up a bit and that's okay. All of us have been cooped up in the house for a while and that saved us some haircut money, right? So it's long overdue... go get a haircut! =) Thank you Bob for doing what you do best! THEY CANT CUT! DONT RISK YOUR HAIR! There were two male barbers and one female barber. One of the male barber took me in and I gave him a photo of a haircut that I used to have. He said okay, it's like your hair but a little shorter. He proceeded to give me a haircut that resembles a balding 50 year old. PLEASE, I'm saying this to save you, do not come here! Came in today around 3:45 - 3:55 I asked for just a hair style of curling my hair, I did not ask for no trim, no layers, no cut. They charged me 62$ for just curling my hair when I knew I should have just did it myself, not only was the price so expensive but she did not finish until almost 5:30. I sat in that chair for almost 2 hours and seen so many people get their hair cut so poorly. I'm such at lost of words, I should have went to the indoor swap meet. read more

I want to say I was a bit hesitant going to this place & honestly I should have avoided it. Went to cut my hair in layers & the lady was brushing /pulling my hair so hard. I went with my hair completely untangled & brushed, so I have no idea why it kept getting tangled & why she pulled so hard. My scalp hurt so bad afterwards . The haircut came out good but the pain to get it was horrible. I literally just sat there with tears in my eyes because of how rough she was being. Great cuts for for $9. They always cut with confidence and quickness. I always get SO nervous when going to Supercuts or any other franchise. The barbers in those mainstream places move so slowly and seem so unsure of themselves! Does not inspire confidence. You have non of that nonsense here. Hair will be cut with alacrity and finesse. And they will automatically style your hair afterwards unless you tell them not to. A+ in my book. read more

Many years of experience between the stylists so don't be fooled by the price. Get more than u pay for, so always tip well in appreciation. Great if you're looking for a quick fade, or traditional cut, but if you got something unique in mind u should explain it thoroughly. Call in to make a reservation if possible, though walk-in is possible most of the time. Parking is plentiful as it is in a grocery plaza. Cash is preferred, don't think I've seen anyone pay with card. read more

Okay, my boyfriend and his brothers really like this place and it's probably good for men's haircut since it's cheap and they always come out decent looking. They've been coming here to Christine for years and she's always welcoming and friendly. I just don't recommend this place for girls that actually needs a style and proper haircut. I came here for an emergency haircut once because my bangs and length of hair (as well as thickness) was getting out of control, but I was on a very tight budget and couldn't really afford where I usually went and after some convincing from the boyfriend, I gave this place a try since it was cheap for a woman's haircut. I almost cried with the finished result. While Christine was friendly I felt like she didn't quite know what she was doing with my mass quantity of hair. It wasn't properly thinned out, but mostly the bangs were a direct straight cut in a horizontal line almost when it's supposed to be a side swept style. It was atrocious and felt really badly done, I know it's just hair... But it looked THAT terrible, even the boyfriend could tell that it wasn't great. The front waiting/door area is also kind of dirty, I saw a huge cockroach once dying on its back flittering its legs into the air while I sat (waiting for the boyfriend) and watched horrified. I personally would never go there again for my own haircut. read more

My hair is usually difficult to work with and always have a stressful time with other barber shops who just miss the mark for what I ask for. Here they always seem to get it right. You can't beat cheap haircuts! I'm one of those guys who do not need expensive styling, mostly trimming because my hair's too long, etc. The barber I had, sadly I did not get to know her name, did my hair great. Yes all I wanted was to cut my hair short, but she made it look nice instead of giving me buzzcuts or, egad, bowl cuts. They have a good command of English, so you can easily tell them how you want your hair to be done. Wait time isn't that long either, at least, from my experience. read more

All of the stylists I've ever had here have always been pleasant and friendly. Men's haircuts are an extremely inexpensive $9. My visits are always satisfying considering how easy it is to cut my hair and how no-thrills I am. I've never made an appointment and the wait is minimal at its worst. I imagine women's haircuts are just as good as anywhere. I accidentally got them to shave my head once. You read that right. I go here when I don't feel like driving to Hair Habit in Diamond Bar which would normally set me back a nice $17 before tip. Don't forget to tip. read more

Been going to this place for 15+ years. Regular men's haircut is $9 and women's runs around $15 i think. The stylist are quick and efficient and speak english fairly well. Well enough to understand how you want your hair cut. You can call and make a reservation but I usually just walk-in as the service is pretty quick. You usually don't have to wait, but if there's a lot of customers, it should be less than 15 mins. There's 2 TVs you can watch. One usually plays a vietnamese show and the other a Western one. Wow just wow. I found my go to barber. The guys' reviews are on point. $9 and I got a dope haircut/fade. My wife said it probably the best haircut she has ever seen on me. My visit was no wait and parking is a lil sketchy because it is Pomona. A lot of transients/bums around the area. After my haircut I went to the asian market in the same plaza which was also sketchy. I normally go to Christine. This would be my 3rd time going to her. I've also gone to the other barbers but I feel like she does a better job at cutting men's hair. She is worth the wait if you're not in a busy schedule. Haircut for men is $9. I always tip her cause I feel like she provides a better service and when she cuts your hair she know what style to recommend for you. They do take debit cards, not sure about credit. read more

I'm one of those men who likes the same person to cut his hair every time without having to make an appointment or paying $25 for someone to spend 15 minutes cutting my hair. I have been coming here for a couple years and it's been great. Their clientele is mostly Asian so it took a couple trips to learn to cut my wavier hair.
