They make the best chocolates but because they don't add parafin, can't ship them during the warm months. Fortunately Valentine's Day is in February! This year I also ordered some of the beer brittle with jalapenos. Excellent! The heat sneaks up on you but is just the right amount. We live near San Antonio and jalapenos are part of our local food pyramid Shipping Priority Mail isn't cheap but it was great to get the order in 4 days. I went there a handful of months ago, when mask rules were still in effect for California, and unfortunately, none of them were wearing masks. Some of them pretended to, like lindergaterd trying to not get into trouble, but had their noses exposed. It's clear the quality of people who run this place. I've been going to Joy Lyns since is was a kid. I was up visiting family and heard they had reopened and was excited to support the business again and buy lots of product to take back home. Immediately when I walked in I knew I was in trouble!! Every single employee quickly pulled up their mask just to appease the mask rules in place. I was in awe. Not one person said "welcome" or "how can we help". I knew I was secretly being side-eyed by the larger middle aged women in the back...made for a really awkward silent viewing. Choices were slim, to be expected with the smaller space they are in. Left with under $20 of chocolate/candy (and I planned on spending much more there). Overall disappointing. Not sure if the owners changed? Chocolate wasn't the same either. But, based strictly on their lack of health and safety measures for their community, I will never come back. It's sad.... read more

Unfriendly. Went in today to get gifts, and was prepared to spend a lot to support a local business - have lived here 40 yrs and was so happy when I heard they were back. However, when we went in, the lady who helped us was very curt, unfriendly. I asked a few questions, they were answered short. No smiles, no welcome, no can we help you find something - it was surprising and off-putting to say the least. Pre-fire we were regulars around the holidays, and they were always super friendly. Sad. Won't be going back, and will be getting our chocolates from See's from now on. Truly sad that a local business is putting off such negative vibes especially around the holidays. read more

Me and my family took a drive to Paradise and saw this candy store along the way so stopped by. The chocolates taste so fresh and delicious. I bought a pecan roll, rocky road, fudge with walnuts and peach gummy rings. What I liked most is the chocolate isn't overly sweet. The staff was warm and friendly. Wow I just ate some of the most amazing honeycomb from Joy Lyn's. Nice rich dark chocolate with super fresh, light and airy honeycomb. Nice golden amber color it was just divine. Got a few other single dark chocolate that were quite good. What a little gem in Paradise I was shocked with the variety they make. They had quite a few seasonal gift items as well. What a great hidden gem. On one of the side streets of the main drag, this little quaint house has the best chocolates around...whenever I visit my Aunt, I always drop in for beer brittle (and if you want spicy they have habanero brittle and truffles) and turtles. Their nuts and chews put Sees to shame, truly. The workers are super nice and the selection is perfect for a small little house/showroom. It's worth seeking out. read more

Joy Lynn's creates small batch masterpieces. Because they are small scale you can taste unique candies, as well as traditional favorites. My current personal favorite is the Habenero Truffle. You can watch them making the candy through a workshop window. Excellent quality and pretty too. read more
