Me and my friends went to joy cakes yesterday and had such a great experience with the workers and the pastries were so yummy!!!! we are gonna come back to get the cheesecakes but the berry cake and bunny bread were our favorite!!! The Photo Booth is also very entertaining thank you so much!!!

I had the opportunity to sample some items from the menu at her private tasting event. The Dubai Chocolate Mochi Cheesecake was the perfect amount of sweetness, chewyness, crunch, texture and flavor. The Matcha drink I ordered was equally as awesome and it came with some extra mochi treats to top it off. It was nice meeting the owner and seeing a case full of delicious desserts that I can't wait to try next time I stop by. Congratulations on your grand opening!

Pastries

Good selection of pastries and drinks. The plaza is very small so parking is limited. The inside is also small so it does get very crowded when the line is long.

Drinks menu

Tried JoyCakes for the first time today and everything was delicious ! I ordered two dubai mochi cakes, an iced double matcha and strawberry milk with added mochi sticks, their chocolate cupcake, and their chocolate chip cookie (not pictured because it didn't make it past the register ) The workers were all friendly and the environment was bubbly and the store was really fresh which was a nice break from this heat. I did wait around an hour and a half to get inside, which was expected due to their grand opening being yesterday, but everything was worth the wait. I would recommend this place if you're in the area and craving sweets and I would most definitely come back to try their other drinks !

Had the opportunity to try out some of Joycakes treats/beverages during their soft opening. Super welcoming with incredible staff, everyone was super friendly. I ordered a matcha joycake which was delicious!!!! loved the rich matcha flavor and I paired it alongside with a ggultteok honey matcha, which I substituted with oat milk. Super cute interior, great to enjoy with friends.

Berry Joy

I tried the misugaru latte, chocolate chip cookie, salt bread, and the joy cake. You definitely have to mix the misugaru latte or else it'll taste like medicine. The chocolate chip cookie had a little too much sea salt, but the texture was perfect. The salt bread wasn't my personal favorite, but I do prefer the garlic butter one over the hotteok one. The cakes definitely stole the show. I would come back a million times just to try every single one of them! Cute café with photo opportunities. The workers are nice but still in training - they forgot my mugwort mochi so make sure to double check your bag!

very yummy! staff is super sweet! drinks and food are not too sweet suggest to come earlier to get more sweets

I think compared to the traditional asian bakeries in 626 like Kee Wah, etc., the breads are much softer (a little on the overly soft side). One of my favorite asian breads, the bolo bao, is probably the worst here or at any 85C - the flakiness that's supposed to be the highlight of the bolo bao is not even close to where it needs to be at 85C. But I will say, the bun with the coffee filling inside is spectacular, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves coffee. At night, the selection of the breads is extremely limited, but the place is still popular due to the large variety of drink offerings. There is a lot of seating and the place is generally clean and well-lit. The parking lot is big but it's always busy and may be hard to find a spot unless you park further away sometimes.

She actually bought a few pastries this time around, but I opted not to grab anything as we came later in the evening a lil before closing so they were out of stock of a lot of breads/options. That being said I've come here pretty frequently over the years. I think the quality is just fine, if not a little decline over when they originally opened way back when but that's just the trend nowadays. I think they have a pretty wide selection and fair prices in general. Their cakes are a bit overly saccharine sweet for my liking, so I've since stopped ordering those and stick to their bread options. Lots of parking, but also a lottt of people come here so it can be hard to find a spot sometimes.

So this is more of a order a go spot, if they don't have enough chairs. It's clean and did smell like baked goods when you come in. The decoration is cute also. I didn't know what to order and so I ordered a Dacquiose with cream and strawberry jam since I've never had one before. The owner described it as a mix of a macaron and cream puff. It was an accurate description. Definitely great texture. Just a little too much cream for my taste due to the sweetness. It was like a butter like cream, and it was sweet. I also got their chocolate chip cookie which was thick. It tasted very similar to a scone and not really like a buttery, crunchy/chewy texture of chocolate chip cookie that I like. A bit bummed that neither dessert wasn't something I liked. Also they don't have any drinks, which is also a bummer because milk or coffee would have gone great with the desserts. I'll probably come back and try something different, but for now either of what I tried really hit. However it's still worthy checking it out, because it might not have been my kind of taste of baked good, but could be for someone else.

Immediately a young woman greeted me as I walked in and shared with me that this shop is not the same owners as the Bakers and Baristas down the way. In fact, this group are the original owners. This explains why the menu next door was vastly different from what it was when it first opened. The Superette had offerings of locally made pantry supplies and also Japanese tea items. A lot of great gift ideas. This day they were having a pizza popup. I was in a rush but waited till I got my turn at the register to ask how long a pizza would take to decide if I was going to order. They said it would take about 10 minutes, so I went ahead and ordered a Spicy Carbonara. The shop was busy with people ordering pizza or buying ice cream. They have limited flavour offerings on the scoops, but had pints available in the fridge. My pizza came, it's about the personal size, with 6 slices. While there were umbrella tables outside for seating, I took the pizza home. I was a little disappointed that my pizza was burnt so I took a star from that. It's a pity because it was flavourful. I saved a couple of slices to take to work and it was still good. The lady that spoke with me at the shop did explain all the ingredients are freshly sourced or in-house made and she mentioned the dough was made in-house. You can tell it was as it was delicious. Love the vibe of the place and looking forward to more offerings. I appreciate that they have a shop for gifts making it one-stop. Will be back for Christmas shopping! Parking is a bit tricky in the complex depending on the time of day as the ones up front fill up quick then when you look in the back, people park on the lines and most end up taking up two parking spots

It's obvious that Paris Baguette has a strong pulse on what's trendy in pastry and they're really smart about what they put out there. This month, they had a smores theme, so I got a smores liege waffle and a smores croissant. The croissant was "new york style", where it was filled with a marshmallow creme and dipped in chocolate. The liege waffle was pretty nicely crispy like a kouign amann and it also had that marshmallow creme that provided the perfect touch of sweetness. I love that you can get a curry croquette here and their version is not bad. What I love getting here is their version of a coffee croissant doughnut. Compared to Dominique Ansel's version, I believe their coffee doughnut compares pretty favorably. Unlike Ansel, who offers the coffee doughnut occasionally, Paris Baguette offers the coffee pastry pretty consistently and I'm appreciative of that.
