A man in line behind us said something to my husband about why aren't you moving (in the line) and my husband turned around and said I'm taking a a picture and calm down we'll move in a second. The gentleman said oh sorry I didn't know. Well little did we know that a sales associate behind the counter that saw the interaction from a different perspective, thought that we were being rude to the gentleman behind us. So lo and behold we get up to her counter and she cops an attitude from the get go. My husband, who is the nicest person in the world, tries to make conversation with her at which point she turns to us and says I thought you were rude to the gentleman behind you. Mind you the whole time, she is giving us attitude and throwing our garments on the counter. That is when I stepped in and said oh no Liz, you don't get to say that. So here's the reason for my review. As a sales person I get it. You get good and bad customers. By all means Liz, talk to your coworkers after we leave if you think we were that rude to the gentleman behind us. The gentleman and myself and my husband had moved on from the incident, but you decided to make a bigger issue out of it. That is not customer service! That is rude on your end. Your job is to help the customer. Whatever you think of the customer in that setting, you keep it to yourself. Share with your coworkers after we leave. Share with your family when you get home from a long day. But do not tell the customer that they were rude when you did not read the situation correctly! At this point, it will be a very long time before I step back into a Nordstrom rack.

They were out of stock in my size, but the manufacturer is in Lake Oswego and they were making their order the next day. They just added me to the order. Less than a week later and my boots are in! When I picked them up, he told me Chinook didn't want the old pair back, so he patched the hole and gave them back to me! Super friendly service that goes the extra mile because he can. Since I had just gone to the Ross in Eastport Plaza, I decided to take SE 82nd to get home so I could stop in this Ross too. They all have different inventory so it's always worth a quick drop in and walk through the store. Today I found a gorgeous jumpsuit by Calvin Klein for $49 and I've seen it at Macy's for $129. Same exact one. Also bought an on trend pair of leopard print pants. I know, sounds like a street hooker. But they really are somewhat tame, no pun intended! I plan on wearing them around the house as loungeware because the material is so soft, they have pockets, and they are a loose, wide leg style. For $11.99, I couldn't leave them behind. It was Friday around dinner hour so the store was not crowded and checkout was fast. If you go during lunch hours when it's busy, the lines are often long because for some reason, they have less cashiers working during the busiest time. Like all Ross they have the annoying "greater" as you walk in, not adding to the experience at all. I smile and keep walking. At this particular store on this day, I did see a very active security guard really walking around watching to prevent theft, not just standing around which is usually the case. I, for one, appreciate this. Too much theft in Portland and it affects all of us. I like that they have security guards; I'm there to shop not steal so their presence doesn't bother me. Another stop at Ross, another bargain found!
