Haven't worn Levi's in 50 years, literally, but after spending the last few years working in my health, I found a pair of Levi's that not only fit, were the most flattering jeans I have ever owned! While I can buy inline, since there are so many styles these days beyond just skinny jeans, thankfully, I wanted to try on various styles to see what looked best. While the sign outside advertises a Baggy Jean Season, I'll let the young ins wear those. They have straight, loose, wide, flare and barrel styles. and opted for a pair of high waist, slightly wide leg jeans that fit perfectly. Love that they offer petite, regular and tall inseams. Hate having to spend $30 to hem jeans and this saves the cost and trouble. Of course the have more than jeans. The store was stocked with sweaters, tops, jackets, and more. For parking, I drive down Westover and parked in the free garage right before Petco Unleashed. Levys is right next store so it's super convenient. read more

I made a visit to this Levi's store as I was interested in trying on a larger size of a Jean jacket I recently received as a gift. I found parking around the corner which was a bit of a surprise. Parking off of 23rd can often be challenging. As I entered, I was created by the security guard with a hello and welcome to the store. This location always has security which I'm not surprised with the on-going homeless problems that Portland has been facing. The store was clean, well organized and not to busy, which was nice. They were also having a 60% off sale on a good amount of items. I resisted and stayed focused on my original goal - confirming if the trucker Jean jacket was the right size or if I wanted to go up a size. The woman who assisted me looked both on line and throughout the store for a size up, but unfortunately Levi's was sold out of the jacket. She took the time however to offer alternative styles and discussed that she would ensure I new any cost adjustments should I decide on a different style. After trying on several other Jean jacket styles in a medium, it was clear a size medium was way too big. I tried my original jacket back on and both the woman who had been helping me so kindly as well as the other woman working did a fit on my jacket (perfect on the shoulders, etc). I decided to keep the one I had gotten. I want to say thank you to the two woman working here today. They were both very kind, helpful and just genuinely nice and pleasant. Out standing customer service. After an online order was messed up. I went into this location for assistance and during a busy Christmas/holiday weekend. They took the time to call customer service and straighten everything out for me. BTW I had called customer service twice myself and received confusing instructions. The employees from this location took the time to correct a complex situation. I was so impressed with the quality of service. read more

This is one of the biggest Levi's store that I can think of in this side of town and hence our go-to. The staff is friendly and gives great recommendations and are patient with your questions . The store is spacious and they also have a tailor onsite for alterations . I would say that the items could be better arranged as it is a pain to find things in certain sizes and styles without having to ask for help .They can also be a little better stocked as a lot of stuff is missing in sizes etc. The fitting rooms are clean and have good lighting which adds to the good experience .Parking can be found in the parking lot behind the store or around the block for street parking . read more

The place for ALL Levi's! Big selection of jeans and clothes and accessories to go with! Lookin to fit this senior booty into some straight leg jeans, I schlep on inside. A clerk nonchalantly asks "need any help?" "Yup! Point me to the normal size straight leg Levi's for old codgers. And by the way, can I still fit my stuff into slims?" So many styles --- 502 in normal straight leg and 511, 512 and 513 slim tight! With a stack of jeans picked by the Levi's sales expert for me, I trot into the fitting room. A groovy style-conscious Levi's attendant on hand pleasantly helped me, evaluating the fit, sizes and styles. I zipped up and down, stepped into and out of, leg by leg, back in and out, walked around, stooped, sat, stretched --- a few jumping jacks to make sure the fit --- fit me! Bitchin fit denim feels right and looks right on in Levis stye! Surprisingly, even slim fits ... fit me "ti-tight-tight" with denim hugging and hanging snug-to-fit from my creaky ankles to wobbly knees over bulging quads up on a firm booty booty! However, I walked out with the 502 normal straight legs --- slim enough plus room to strut my stuff around. I'm thinkin gotta go back and buy the super slim 512's or was it 511's? The Levi's sales assistants made the deal for me! So helpful! So available! So right on! So many Levis jeans jeans jeans on NW 23rd! So much fun for me trying on Levi's! Thanks! Although I didn't buy anything at this store, I found the service mostly great. One sales person was slightly condescending as she corrected my husband in the jeans he was looking at. Seriously, he doesn't know since he doesn't work here, but keep your attitude in check, honey. Otherwise, the two other sales people at this store were amazing. They were friendly and extremely helpful. One of them, I believe her name was Bree helped measure me since I had no idea what size and cut of jeans I should buy. I am life long Levi's customer who will NEVER buy Levi's again after my experience at this store! I had a pair of 501 Jeans altered to change the hem from a frayed hem to a traditional hem and it was a complete mess. Generally, the advantage of altering at the store you purchased an item is in the rare case there is an issue, you can resolve it. NOT AT LEVI'S! If they mess up your pants- like they did mine, its YOUR PROBLEM. And, the sales associates and store manager will be SURE you feel like a problem. I am 5'4 so I am no stranger to denim alterations. I have to get them every time I buy new jeans because of my height. In the last 15 years I have probably had 35 pairs of jeans hemmed (else wear) and I have never had an issue. The alternation that the Levi's bar did caused the hem to flair out and made my traditional, straight-leg 501 look like a mini bell bottom. When I discussed and paid for the alternation, the staff never mentioned this would be a potential outcome. And, they didn't mention that if the alternation wasn't successful that there was no recourse. Because I didn't want a bell bottom, I went back to have it remedied. The alternations staff told me it was "quality work" and I was wrong. As a customer, I have NEVER been told I am wrong by a retail employee. She proceeded to argue with me. Except, I was a design major, and I understand alterations. I also understand retail and even more over, I know that I've had 35 pairs of pants professionally hemmed and never had my straight leg jeans bow out. After much push back they agreed to taper them, which I really did not want either, because that's not what a 501 looks like. But, I gave in because I had no other choice. I went back to pick up my "corrected" pants today. They were EXACTLY the same. The alternations associate, who was different than one last week, agreed they looked like a bell bottom and was sweet and offered to get her manager. I told her I would be happy with a refund or a store credit, but I couldn't wear the pants in their current state. They left me waiting for 15 minutes while the manager called HER manager. The manager, Taylor, had the worst attitude of anyone I've ever met in a retail environment. She came out angry. She looked at my pants, and wanted to know what was wrong with them. I asked if she had eyes, because anyone looking at these pants could see they did not look good. The botched hem looked homemade. Taylor, told me she's heard, "I am unpleasent to work with." in front of a huge line of customers. She proceeded to tell me how rude I was, and glare at me and my husband. I have NEVER had a store associate call me a name. I'm still shocked. All I wanted was for her to look at the pants and acknowledge what her staff already had- they were uneven and they no longer looked like a 501. That's not a huge ask. Taylor acted with less maturity and grace than my ten-year old. She never apologized for the fact my new pants were ruined, acknowledged they were ruined, or offered us the slightest courtesy. Ultimately, after 30 minutes, I got a store credit that I will spend online for a gift because while I have been a Levi's loyalist for more than decade, I have zero desire to ever wear another pair of Levi's again. So, if you want Levi's buy them online. If you are in store- don't waste your money altering them there, take your business to a professional. Better yet, take it to Nordstrom or another retailer who not only understands alternations, but also understands customer service. read more

Before you go to Urban Outfitters across the street and find out how lame and square you are, go across the street to the Levis store. They sell the same Levis as UO for less and better selection. I went in on Black Friday and he was extremely kind, helpful & patient despite it being probably the most stressful day of the year for retail professionals. I count this as one of the best denim shopping experiences for me to date thanks to him. I hate trying on pants but Caleb made the experience--wait for it--fun. I tried on over a dozens pairs (see above re: patience) and ended up with the 2 most perfect pairs of jeans The store had a wide array of sizes, nice dressing rooms and a really pleasing layout. 10/10, would recommend Caleb is 11/10 and is a definite asset to this location. read more

I walked in from the !free parking! garage in the building and communicated my jean desires to the first shop person who made eye contact. They brought a few options and sent me to the dressing room with them. While in the dressing room they checked on fitting, and brought more options I requested. From this I got a few pairs of well fitted jeans I needed. Email receipt is standard today and they do it. You can buy jeans anywhere. This store is all about fitting, size and fabric selection, in stock. Don't go naked (in public), here, the staff can help you get your fit! read more

Went in for a simple size exchange. Without explaining their return policy they flat out returned my item and then ran my card for a whole new purchase. I was concerned about the multiple transactions flagging my card as fraud, which they assured me it wouldn't. 4 attempts later it did. I was very upset and wanted to just take my original purchase and leave, they told me no and that they couldn't void it. My only option was to leave with nothing and trust that I got the credit THEN come back and purchase the new size. REALLY? A very "sorry not sorry" attitude from the sales associate helping me. They created a huge hassle for me that day and offered no real apologies for it...was my problem not theirs. I've worked retail, it's easy to void a transaction, it's easy to not cause fraud alert on debit cards, it's easy to show sincere remorse about putting people through unnecessary hassles- they did none of that. Their products speak for themselves, they get 5 stars. Experience w staff was closer to 2. The problem was with communication. I called three times. (Online says they make appointments for sales, their voicemail says so, too.). Each time I was given slightly different information; I need an appointment; I don't need an appointment, but I need to call an hour ahead of time to be sure the tailoring room has been cleaned; I don't need to call ahead of time--they can just use another room; no mention of needing to coordinate w a specific tailor; I need to call ahead to verify the tailor's schedule for the day. Whew. And as I tried to clarify which info was reliable before actually heading down there the employee was so rude, she talked to me like I'm a little slow and she's doing her best to be patient with me. She'd say something that conflicted with something her coworker had said, as I tried to clarify she'd say as passive aggressively as possible, "As I already told you..." Such a disappointing face for an iconic brand. Levi's can do so much better. read more

Just wanted to give the folks at this Levi's store credit for being really amazing and making the experience easy. I came in on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and young daughter and the employees were so kind and helpful. My daughter is 2 yrs old and was acting up a bit but the employees were really understanding. Enzo was very helpful and explained all the details of the products I was interested in. It's just nice to go into a clothing store in Portland and have all friendly employees that seem glad that you came in. If you crave for classic jeans then this is your place. This is nothing out of the ordinary that companies produce for the mass. If you're looking for something nice and special, then you might want to look elsewhere but I would suggest calling the store before starting your engine and finding out they don't have the model/size/color you're looking for. They are more than welcoming to assist you. They often give good discounts. It's just most if not all are not my thing. I was looking for that awesome white jeans that is relaxed fit. They don't have it. Well, they had the skinny/ slim fit ones for most of their models. I went here for the classic finding out I am beyond classic. It is not expensive here. Well, it is in Portland hipster standards. It's almost shopping at Nordstrom Rack but you'll drown in denim. ;) Again, it wasn't my flavor but it may as well be for some. read more

I had a great experience at this store yesterday! I went to return some jeans I ordered online. They didn't carry that style. So Iooked for something comperable. Nothing fit, nothing fit, nothing fit. I decided since this was pretty much the best selection of Levi's around to look for an old-school heavier denim. I was about to give up on fitting my pre-Gen-x/Post-Boomer physiqe but I was encouraged by Lydia to try the men's selection, and go up 2 sizes. SCORE!! I realize she was making a sale, but between juggling 3 other folks in the fitting rooms (including a mom with a teen girl, a girl trying to get her BF to buy some decent jeans, and another dude) , and coaching all of us on decent fit, she wouldn't give up on me. I was resolved to go back to mega-spandex denim when she suggested a style she reccomended to lots of women and after several tries I found a pair I can live with. I love my new Levi's!! Also, when they rang up my return, the price was a higher than what was on the invoice, and they said it wasn't a problem. Although the new jeans were more expensive, I saved even more! read more

This store is great. I had one of the best experiences shopping there just the other day. I'm typically one who likes to be left alone to browse and shop around but one of the employees there named Walker who greeted me very enthusiastically took me on a short but guided tour of the wild Levi's Store of Portland. I told him I wanted to check out the clearance section and he painstakingly looked through all of them to find me multiple off color 36x30s. He even grabbed a pair of blue jeans for me to try on for the hell of it and I now wear them every day. I absolutely love them and wouldn't of had them unless he suggested I try them. I ended up dressed head to toe with a long sleeve shirt, and two pairs of pants for under 65 bucks. He even took of his vest and gave it to me to try on and it was cool but a little too fancy for me. My first job ever was at the Levi store in SF (yes the big one). Customer service was top-notch in SF, we were always required to help everyone as much as we could with their fits. Not so much the case here, there's usually not enough sales associates to help out and you kind of feel left in the dust. Luckily for me, I can gauge Levi's sizing pretty well after working there and learning the in's & out's. Unfortunately, after purchasing a pair of high-waist skinnys...it's extremely obvious that Levi's will never be the same. I figured after a couple days of wearing them they might start to feel better on my body. Not so much. I tried, but I'll have to stick with AA high-waist pants, those seem to be the only pants that mold to your body over time and provide comfort. Two-horse pull is long gone. read more

I use to hate this store. I hated because while normally I wore a size 32, at Levi's I was appearently a size 1000, because I couldn't fit into any jeans! I always left sweaty and disappointed. Fast forward to Saturday. I have lost some much needed weight, and my now size 30 fits into a size 32 at Levis. How is that for success! They had a great deal, 50% off a lot of items. I found a great pair of gray jeans that were already marked down to around $50 bucks, so it was a steal at $25 for jeans. My favorite thing about this store is the organization. Everything is folded nicely and easy to find. Usually there are for my short size in jeans and I love the faded or washed styles very much. I shop here twice and the sales associates treat me very well. They always make sure to take time to make sure my fit is correct and to satisfaction. Sometimes I want different themes of Tshirt so I get Under Armor too or Nike but Levis always for jeans. read more

I was just at the flagship store on Market St in SF looking for a very specific pair of jeans - they did not have my size, or anything anywhere near it. Since I will be in the great North West next week I decided to call this location to see if they had it in stock. I was assisted by Walker, who obviously knew the product well enough to soften the impact of them not having it in stock. I was directed to the website which had my exact specifications, and he even offered to sign me up for the email which would give me 20% off and free shipping. Super friendly and helpful even over the phone for an online order. If the service in person is half as awesome as Walker was over the phone I will be content. The slowest service I have ever seen! 5 people working yet 1 at the register when there are 7 people in line waiting to check out! Also purchased some items and did not receive an emailed receipt! Called the store and was told to wait a few minutes or a few hours.. which one is it??! Still haven't received a receipt 2 days later! Definitely frustrated!!! read more

Had a good experience here in my attempt to find khaki-colored corduroys. In the end I couldn't find what I wanted, but the store did have lots of options with very (overly?) helpful staff. I will definitely come back here in the future to peruse new styles. read more

Well have fun doing this at this establishment, the workers their couldn't be anymore annoyed with a return. Constantly feeling like they are so fucking annoyed with having to do part of their duties. First they start of with a brigade of questions of why and then they try their hardest to Jedi persuade you to keep it or exchange it. Listen if I wanted to deal with the teenage angst/attitude I would go hang out at the local hot topic because at least there they are nicer. read more

I went in to find some 501s recently - I wasn't greeted by anyone and I wasn't asked if I needed any help. While looking around the shop I overheard exchanges between what I assume was the manager (dark curly hair) and an employee. The manager was verbally harassing the employee. They were raising their voice from the across the store and constantly talking over them. The young employee appeared anxious and very uncomfortable. I will not support a company that allows management to treat their employees like this. I'm very disappointed in this location and my hope is that the employee seeks work elsewhere. read more

She didn't hover, sensed when I needed help, gave candid feedback, quickly directed me towards what I was looking for, and found the sizes I needed so I didn't have to. I thought I knew all about Levi's until I came to this store on the west end of Burnside in downtown Portland, and found out my favorite 511 brand is even higher quality, better fabric (and different varieties "not sold in Macy's" are available) -- but that goes with a higher price too. Shopping at this store was soul sucking experience! The moment I entered the store I was instantly accosted by the sales people, I just wanted to look around the store on my own and they constantly asked questions wouldn't leave me alone. Eventually I asked if they had a size larger then 32 and she seemed like it was the most embarrassing question a person could possibly ask. After much effort she found a 33 "I know we have them somewhere we normally don't keep these on the floor" apparently no one ever has needed a 33... Although this was a horrible experience I ended up paying 80$ jeans which look great on me. Although I will never visit this store again! read more
