Went in this place trying to get an idea of what I was looking for in a MOB gown. I had ordered a MacDuggal and she felt it was too heavy and overwhelming for my petite frame. The ladies were all helpful and asked me to let them know if I needed any assistance. They let me browse but offered to put a dress in the dressing room once I selected one. I noticed a few brides trying on dresses as well and the ladies were never pushy and actually one offered advice on what to expect with alterations. She mentioned a seamstress would be coming in shortly and could offer better advice. This alone seemed so helpful for the bride- what a wonderful service to be offered BEFORE you say yes to the dress. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous dress at a fraction of the price. read more

Honestly I wish I found my dress here because this was the best customer service I've ever had since shopping for wedding dresses! Elise and the volunteer worker (I forget her name) were absolutely so helpful and encouraging. They did not try to push me into buying anything as I was very indecisive about two of the dresses I tried. They also let me try on veils which were all gorgeous. I might check back here in a couple months to see if they have any other dresses I might like. Literally, the day before My flight to Maui for my wedding in 8 days, I stopped in to perhaps get a different belt. I ended up getting an entire new dress and a new belt. Originally I spent 39 on the pink and white dress that I ended up using as my dance on the beach dress. I saw this dress on the rack and just had to try it on. For the moment I put it on. I absolutely love the concept of this place. It's run by volunteers and the sale of the dresses go towards preventing human trafficking. However, when my friend and I went in for my appointment today, one of the volunteers kept glaring at us the entire time we were in the store. She even seemed to go out of her way to follow us around and just glare. It was quite uncomfortable to the point that we left in a hurry. Not once did she try and talk to us, just mean mugging the whole time. I really hope that she isn't a regular volunteer, as I could see that hurting the good deeds that are trying to be done. read more

We've been to a few name brand bridal shops and they have the "in fashion" gowns. But they are all the same gowns in different sizes and their service is pushy. Adorned in Grace was amazing!! Personal and not pushy! You pick your dresses that are one of a kind. Some are new and some are gently used but very clean- you would never know. The prices were amazing! Such a great experience! Absolutely amazing experience here! I went to two different dress store before and was feeling kinda hopeless- especially after going to David's Bridal. I called them and asked if they were taking walk-ins and they said come on in. I came in and had no idea they donated their funds to such a great cause! It was a wonderful surprise. The staff was absolutely wonderful and respected all boundaries. At one point they asked if I wanted a veil. I said no, and they didn't even push it. Most other stores would have pushed it and said "oh just do it for fun." But they are respectful towards everyone who walks in. Truly an amazing experience and so grateful I found my dress here. An absolutely amazing experience! We came here after other consignment stores didn't have quite the selection I was looking for. There were so many high-end gowns here to try on in a variety of sizes. Prices were phenomenal (from 99-500), they had veils ready to try on (and buy for cheap), and the staff (who volunteers without pay mind you) were so friendly and helpful! I knew exactly what kinds of dresses I was interested in and my size, but perhaps if you don't know, it might be overwhelming so bring family/friends or ask a staff member to help you comb the racks. I personally loved the laid-back atmosphere of combing the racks and changing into the dresses myself (no awkward dressing room small talk with a consultant like some higher end places). I LOVE this place. I love the volunteers working there and I love their mission. I did not end up getting a dress there but I wish I could've because what the money goes to is such an incredible thing to get to contribute to (the fight against sex trafficking). I will probably end up donating my dress here so some other girl can go in and get so excited to find the perfect dress at a cheap price for a good cause! Even though it is COVID, they were SO helpful. I had a private appointment that they made time for outside of what they had available that day because I was only in Portland for that morning. I had a full hour. I could bring 3 people with me and they gave me a bag of clips to go around and mark what dresses to try. I learned that even though I'm normally a 4, the size 6 wedding dresses are what fit better because they run so small. The lady there helped me get all jacked up to see different veils and she was so kind throughout the whole process. They had an area with a stand and mirrors to look at the dress. Their selection isn't huge (because it's all donation), especially they didn't have any veils I liked. And it is harder to find a dress because they have all been altered, but I still found one I liked a lot and put on hold for $25. Even though I didn't end up getting it because I found one at Brides for a Cause, I'm so glad I could contribute some money to their project! read more

I bought my dress here for my wedding and was blown away. There were many selections and styles avaiable, they also have designer selections. The staff are so helpful and so nice. I bought my dress as is and it fit like a glove, no alterations needed. But! If you need alterations they have someone here who is very helpful and available in clackamas as well. You really can't beat the price of the dresses. Everything we looked at was reasonably priced. I paid $200.00 for my dress and people's jaws literally dropped when they found out the price and how well it fit and the quality. My sister in law just got engaged and we were so blown away we came back! And she found her perfect dress here too! Again, helpful staff and the lady who does alterations was so helpful, as my sister in law needed a jeweled belt added to her dress and a few other alterations. Highly recommend coming here. Their mission and cause is so important, you don't leave feeling guilty that you just spent a bunch of money on a dress you will wear once. I could not be happier with my decision to purchase my wedding dress from Adorned in Grace. I initially bought a dress from the Brides for a Cause Dress Dash, but was having second thoughts especially since the dress needed a lot of repairs and just wasn't the dress that I could imagine myself getting married in. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money on a wedding dress (especially since i was only going to wear it for one day) and wanted my purchase to go to a good cause. So on a rainy Friday afternoon, my mom and I drove to Adorned in Grace, and with no expectations at all (and no appointment, which is not necessary), and I went in looking for my dream dress. Since I was from out-of-town, but wanted to buy my dress in Portland, I was under a bit of pressure to find a dress during my visits there. TIP: Come in the afternoon during a weekday if possible, as we were the only ones in the store! Adorned is so well organized, clean and inviting and it made my frantic search looking for "the dress" a much more pleasant experience. The ladies that work there are an absolute gem, and so sweet, kind, and helpful without being one bit overbearing or pushy. Chatting with them and getting their feedback made my dress buying experience so much more enjoyable and memorable. I finally found the dress of my dreams (originally $3000, brand new, six layers of the most gorgeous, soft silk and discounted to $650) from a UK designer that I would not have been able to purchase from a boutique in Portland; apparently it was donated by another out-of-town boutique. When I put on the dress, I teared up because I knew this was it! Above all, I felt so happy to support a wonderful cause, because let's face it, Portland has a serious problem with sex-trafficking and we should all be supportive of empowering women who are in search of a better life. I traveled from Montana to go dress shopping with my family, had 3 appointments set for the weekend. I found a dress at my second appointment and paid for it. I almost canceled my appointment to go to adorned in grace, but decided to go. Not only did I find almost the exact same dress for 1/3 of the cost, but the gals there were so nice and sweet. Adorned In Grace is a non-profit organization store that receives all dresses via donation and gives all proceeds to an organization assist victims of sex trafficking. The dress was originally over $2000 and we were able to find it for $500 with 20% off for Black Friday sale, which all came out to $400. Seriously, you can't get a better deal than this. I was hopeful but apprehensive about shopping at a discount/secondhand boutique but was pleasantly surprised by the range of styles and affordability of their dresses, even the designer gowns. The wedding industry horrifies me, but when taking the plunge a few things are vital, especially if you have parents calling every other day!. For me this means I needed a wedding dress and no sneaking off to Vegas. I started my hunt online and found Adorned in Grace had just opened nearby. It was a 100% non-profit benefitting victims of local sex trafficking so I figured I needed to check it out. They are open Saturday 10am-5pm and otherwise is by appointment, so I scheduled an appointment with some reservations and headed in. I was met by one of the three kind women volunteering to run the bridal and formal wear shop of "new and gently used" dresses and was impressed by the huge, attractive selection. This was not a tired collection from the 80's as I feared, but current, attractive gowns in a variety of styles. Most of the dresses were in excellent condition, but there were some trampled hems and loose beadwork occasionally. The store does have a selection of tailors willing to help fix any flaws and do alterations. I managed to find not one but 2 wedding gowns that would work for my hot beach wedding as well as a silk formal dress. Paying is awkward though - as no prices are set. I was told most people donate $100-400 per wedding dress and $50-100 for formal gown. The good news as it is a donation, it is also tax deductible over $50. Overall it was a win-win-win situation. I found wedding gowns for a reasonable amount, helped out local woman and I get to deduct it from my taxes! read more

I feel very conflicted about giving a 1-star to a place that is overall fantastic but hopefully this message will be relayed to the one person that my review is in reference to. I came here a few months ago after coming across their website and reading about their wonderful mission. During my first visit, I was greeted and assisted by two very kind ladies who were attentive, yet gave me enough space to be able to comfortably browse and select a few gowns that I really liked. I came back the following day to make a final decision on the dress - unfortunately, I crossed paths with the nastiest, rudest woman who ruined my entire experience. She completely dismissed me when I asked her questions, she snatched dresses aggressively out of my hand multiple times, scolding me to "not ruin the dresses, you're destroying the dresses!" She chased me around the store, harassing me all the way to the dressing room. She shouted at me and my mother who was visiting from out of town to hurry up multiple times, in an extremely rude and annoyed tone, even through the dressing room curtain, while I was trying to quickly try on my FIRST down. UNBELIEVABLE treatment. I'm sorry - the last time I checked, I am a customer, no, a human being who deserves a basic amount of respect. I was so shocked and hurt by this "service" that i quickly changed and ran out of the store. It's so unfortunate because it seems that the majority of the staff are lovely and represent their purpose well. Just steer clear of this one wicked person, who perhaps is so terribly unhappy with herself that she feels that she has to ruin others' experiences to improve her day. very sad. read more

After several friends suggested Adorned in Grace I finally checked it out recently. I was alone, but a quiet friendly volunteer was happy to follow me around and try to help me pick out dresses. It might be my timing, but I found most of the dresses in my size to be strapless, and I don't want a strapless dress. This severely limited my options. On my first round I found nothing I wanted to try on. Nothing?! How does that even happen? I did another lap and found a few I was sort of interested in, but nothing to write home about. I was not into the Christian music playing the whole time I was there, but the place is clean and the staff is nice and they seem to care about the dresses and the cause. I will try to go back in 2-4 weeks and see if there are more dresses to my liking. read more

I had seen a Craigslist ad and then decided to check out the website and saw that they are a non-profit organization and their mission statement to help victims of sex trafficking is such a worthy cause, I immediately went the following day after I saw their website and was helped by a very friendly mother and daughter volunteer team that was working in the shop that day, they were very kind and non intrusive as I was searching for a gown and I ultimately found the dress that I was looking for and placed a deposit to hold it that day. I have no regrets about this place and I hope every bride gives this place look through before they go to a big box corporation store and help support this amazing cause! read more

Adorned In Grace was amazing. They had a large selection of dresses (a decent amount in plus sizes) for far less than David's Bridal and other boutiques I visited. The ladies are volunteers and the profit goes toward victims of human trafficking. The ladies are fairly knowledgeable for volunteers. I don't know whether you can make appointments, I doubt it since they're volunteers, I didn't make an appointment and there were several other brides in the store, so sometimes I had to wait a little bit for help, but I didn't mind. I would recommend bringing someone with you to help you zip up since the women are helping multiple people at once. The good: Good selection of dresses, very reasonable prices, helps victims of human trafficking and at risk teens. The bad: A lot of the dresses I tried on had small tears and stains. Additionally, about half the dresses in the larger sizes (I'm a plus size girl) are pretty outdated (think some 80's and some 90's, lots of pearls), but the more modern ones they do have are absolutely gorgeous. I was able to find "the dress" here, brand new, less expensive than any similar dress at any of the other boutiques I went to. I love the dress, and the women helped me envision what it would look like slightly altered (brought up to a tea length and taken in). They also recommended two seamstresses, one local to me and one that specializes in lace wedding dress alterations I highly suggest looking here first (or last if every other place has struck out). Just wonderful! I went with a friend after hearing about the place from a couple people. I knew the place would have dresses in my price range but I didn't realize the quality of them would be so nice. There were fashion forward looks, vintage dresses, and the traditional poofy gowns. They have a racks of $100 dresses, and then most dresses go up in price, but again very reasonable. Surprisingly I found a dress priced at $75 on the vintage rack. It turned out to the dress for me! The volunteers were really helpful. What I really appreciated is that I am in a same sex relationship & no one batted an eye. In fact the ladies were happy for me & to be honest I had some trepidation because I think a church group started the non-profit. My dress, being vintage, it turned out had a flaw in a spot. A volunteer immediately helped me & offered to sew the area & other suggestions. They even took another $25 off the dress! And the fact that all the proceeds go to a wonderful cause, and the business is sustainable...just awesome. I really recommend Adorned in Grace! read more

I am writing an amazing review not only because I enjoyed my time here today, but I heard a snotty customer threaten to write a bad review because no one talked to her for the first 15 minutes she came into the store. ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE VOLUNTEERS, and it looks like today they were understaffed. Someone came up to her afterwards and apologized. Snotty customer- please remember this is a nonprofit and the money you spend on a dress helps end sex trafficking and support survivors. Anyway, this place rocks! All the dresses in the store are under ~$700. They have couture gowns, $100 and under gowns, and racks that are organized by size. I went in by myself and was really impressed by the selection and prices. I put a hold on a gown and will be back later with my girlfriends to look at more dresses and try on that gown in front of them. Great place! I just donated my $2,500 dress to Adorned in Grace. Obviously, I've only worn it the one time on my wedding day. This place represents such an amazing cause! I was so excited when I heard about it because I had been trying to figure out what to do with my dress. So many brides get it preserved and packed away for memories or for daughters, but this seemed like a much better idea to me. If you're looking for a dress, definitely check this place out.
